The latest buzz is thst Bollywood’s Superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be playing the role of a Pakistani citizen in his next movie. The movie will be the directorial debut of Oscar winning sound designer Resul Pookutty.

Resul, along with Richard Pryke and Ian Tapp won the Academy Award for Best Sound Mixing for the film Slumdog Millionaire. He has worked in Hollywood, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam films. He provided sound to 2008’s blockbuster Ghajini.

Resul always wanted to get into direction and wished to cast Big B in his first movie. It was his old classmate Amitabh Singh who approached him with a script for a movie. It is said that the script’s subject touched Resul so much that he immediately decided to direct it with Mr. Bachchan in it.

Resul said, “I have approached Mr Bachchan for the film that I want to direct. The character is from another country. But it is not a political film. It’s an extremely humane subject that touches the lives of people on both sides of the border.”

According to the sources the film doesn’t talk about the two countries’ issues with each other but is about the sensitive topic of father –son relationship.

Meanwhile Big B is busy with Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 7.

Big B trusts me a lot as a director : RGV

Ram Gopal Varma, one of the most outrageous directors, if one could name him so finds Amitabh Bachchan as the best of heroes that he has worked with. RGV known for handling the topics which are mostly untouched and giving the movies a different touch is happy for the trust that Big B has put upon him and he is happy that Big B has agreed for his movies. The duo has given industries best hits like Sarkar and Sarkar Raj which was a trend changer in Bollywood.

"When it comes to favourite actor, the only name I will take is Mr. Bachchan. He trusts me a lot as a director. So far it has not happened that I have approached him for a role and he has said no. Sometimes it (films) work, sometimes it doesn't. But somewhere he knows my commitment and that my work comes with lot of seriousness," the 50-year-old said.

The roles that RGV has given to Amitabh Bachchan has been challenging and has chiseled out the true actor in him and has also given him the opportunity to perform in most outrageous of roles that was ever displayed in Indian cinema, be it the role of Gabbar in 'Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag' or 'Rann' which were few of the movies which did not go well in the box office.

If you ask Ramu about whats the best movie he like about Big B, he answers quick "I honestly feel Big B's best performance is done in Nishabd," says the director.

RGV is currently finishing up the movie 'Department' which stars Big B again in a gangster role and this is expected to be a raw story on the alleged police and gangster connections. The movie also stars Sanjay Dutt, Rana Duggabati and Madhushalini who is making her debut to bollywood. The item girl Nathalia Kaur has already made the item song 'Dan Dan' famous!

Big B to play Bhishma Pitamah

69-year-old star Amitabh Bachchan who is known for his deep baritone voice has lent it to the rock-solid iconic character of Bheeshma Pitamah in an upcoming animated film Mahabharat produced by Jayantilal Gada of PEN India and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

Producer Jayantilal Gada said, "Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice to the role of Bheeshma Pitamah in our animated film Mahabharat. He finished the entire recording in one hour, which was very shocking for us. He has such a command over the language that he even corrected minor grammatical mistakes in the dialogues."

Jayantilal Gada couldn't stop talking about Amitabh Bachchan's simplicity and generous nature, he added, "He did not charge us for his work. Our entire team is grateful to him. We could not have done the film without him as we can't imagine any other voice for the role of Bheeshma Pitamah.”

The characters from the epic will have voices and looks of 15 Bollywood stars. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan the 150 crore animated movie Mahabharat will have Sunny Deol as ‘Bheem’ and Arjun Rampal as ‘Arjun’, while Sanjay Dutt will play the role of ‘Duryodhan’. The director has also signed Ajay Devgan for the role of ‘Lord Krishna’. It is even said that Aishwarya Rai will enact the role of ‘Draupadi’.

The animated film Mahabharat will be made in two parts simultaneously and will be released in two separate versions of two and half hours each, because the duration of the film will exceed 5 hours. Even though both would be ready at the same time, the second part will be released at least after a 6-months gap. The movie is expected to release in October.

Big B still in pain!

It seems that the release of Big B from SevenHills hospital is still not recent, as he is said to be hospitalized few more days following the pain. The 69 year old actor was supposed to be released from hospital on Monday following the abdominal surgeries.

Big B had earlier tweeted that he is still suffering from acute pain and his words went "NOT SUCH AN EXCITING DAY! Acute pain throughout, but bearing up ... still in hospital and delay now in release" on monday, there has been no further updates about his status. It is also said that the hospital is turning out to be a fortress for media and there has been no entry for any of the crew. Earlier when IANS tried to get in touch with the crew, they were informed that Amitabh Bachchan will have to stay few more days at the hospital.

There is also a big crew of bollywood celebrities lining up to meet the superstar. It is said that the abdominal problems had got serious following the injury that the star had sustained during his shooting days of 'Coolie' in 1982. The blog from Big B also did explain the intense pain that he is currently undergoing, excerpt "The morning has been nightmarish. There has been incredible pain in the region of the surgery, and the spasms so acute that they brought me to the level of a scream … which is saying a lot, for, my resistance to pain has been quite satisfactory in the past, But the doctors were immediately summoned. After change in the dressings and pain killers, there seems to be some semblance of relief. Not entirely, but enough,"

We wish that the star gets well soon!
