Priyanka Chopra - The Pop Singer!

Although she did bits in 'Bluff Master' she is now taking up a full fledge debut of singing with the movie Zanjeer (remake). The latest news is that the actress has preparing for singing songs for the movie and this will be released shortly in the coming months. 

The remake of Zanjeer (1993) will see quite a new look for the characters and this is the reason why the director wanted to have a fresh voice and a fresh set of lyrics to match the new situation that they are to plot. 

The earlier buzz was that Priyanka would record the hit number 'Bana ke kyun bigada re' that was shot on Jaya Bachchan in the original Zanjeer. 

However, since the song she records for the new Zanjeer will officially mark her debut as a playback singer, both the actress as well as Apoorva wanted a fresh number.

The filmmaker has decided to come up with fresh lyrics in sync with the mood of the film.

This is not all, the actress is also planning to sing for the sequel of Krrish 3 which is currently progressing on schedule. Priyanka Chopra has been quite serious about her singing career and she has also expressed her desire to portray it further, as for the twitter fans, you should have already noted the profile change on Priyanka's about page, which says "'actor, singer (new addition he he), walkin to my own music (sic)".

The actresses singing talent was portrayed on the SRK tour 'Temptations 2004' where she had sang few of the numbers from 'Mujse Shaadi Karogi' since then she has been flooded with offers from leading companies but it is said that she is selective. 

Zanjeer, produced by Prakash Mehra's son Amit, introduces Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja to Bollywood. 

The budding actor reprises Amitabh Bachchan's iconic angry young man in the remake. Priyanka plays the role essayed by Jaya in the original.

About 40 per cent of the film's shooting is complete and Priyanka starts filming her portions in September.

The actress will also be seen in an all new avatar in the upcoming film Barfi! opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

Priyanka's POP Album to be released soon?

Priyanka who has been trained in western music is all set to release her single album. The news has it that she has also penned few of her songs and is also preparing to record them soon. Last year, Priyanka signed a recording deal with Universal Music and Desi Hits for her yetuntitled pop album.

According to sources, Priyanka was approached by Apoorva to sing in his film because he liked her voice quality.

'Priyanka is currently under contract with the producers of her international album to finish it first before she can go on to recording the song for Zanjeer,' a source said.

Kareena to play Queen in Hindi remake of Arundhati

Actress Kareena Kapoor is all set to play the role of a mighty queen in the hindi remake of the classic telugu movie named Arundhati.

Arundhati is a Telugu movie which was released in the year 2009, a fantasy film written and directed by Kodi Ramakrishna, starring Anushka and Sonu Sood in the lead. The film was released on 16 January 2009 with positive reviews and emerged as a commercial blockbuster and became one of the highest grossing Telugu films of the time. Owing to its success, it was later dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam with the same title and in Oriya as "Mantrasakti".

The lead role of Jejamma in the original film was played by south star Anushka Shetty. Sonu Sood who played the villan in the original movie, is going to retain his role in the hindi remake as well. Prior to Kareena, Katrina Kaif and Rani Mukharjee were approached for this role, but both of them couldn't take up the role because of date issues. 

Kareena said that, "I am excited to do this (movie) that had the importance for the female character."

Arundhati will be Kareena Kapoor's second female centric movie after Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine. 

It is said that Gemini Film Circuit has acquired the rights of the remake and the makers of the movie are planning to do it on a big scale. 

Kareena Kapoor will soon be seen in Reema Kagti's Talaash opposite Aamir Khan.

Bipasha bonds with Ram Charan Teja

Buzz is that Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu is bonding big time with none other than Telugu actor Ram Charan Teja. 

Ram Charan Teja is son of the Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi. Previously the actress was dating Telugu actor Rana Daggubati. Both Bipasha and Ram Charan are childhood friends and are seen together at every party nowadays.

Ram Charan Teja is an Indian film actor from Telugu Cinema born to Telugu super star Chiranjeevi, he made his debut as lead actor with the film Chirutha in 2007. He will be making his Bollywood debut through Zanjeer in which he will be casted opposite Priyanka Chopra.

A source said that, "Bips met Teja in Goa last December while shooting for Jodi Breakers. He was there with his fiancee Upasana Kamineni and a bunch of friends. Rana was in the Sunshine State giving Bipasha company. The two couples hung out and even brought the New Year in together. That's how they became friends." 

Thereafter the two have always kept in touch. When Bipasha was in Hyderabad, Ram Charan and his fiance took very good care of the actress. And now, when Ram Charan is shooting in Mumbai, Bipasha is taking care of him. Both of them hang out and party together. They were even spotted having dinner with a group of friends at Bipasha's favourite restaurant in Mumbai.

He added, "Now that he is in Mumbai shooting for his film, Bips is taking care of him and the two hang out and party together. Just like he did a month ago when she was in Hyderabad. They had even partied together. Since her break up with John last year, she has made it clear that she enjoys the company of men and makes no pretenses about it."

When Bipasha was asked about her relation with Ram Charan she said that, “He is a friend of mine.”

Ram Charan upset

It is said that Telugu actor Ram Charan is quite upset after he got to know that Priyanka Chopra, his co-star in the movie Zanjeer will be getting paid more than him.

Just a few days back it was said that Priyanka Chopra would be paid a whopping 9 crore for playing the lead role in Zanjeer. The talk in media circles is that, "Priyanka is being paid 'on par' or 'more than' Charan"


Ram Charan is an Indian film actor from Telugu Cinema born to Telugu actor Chiranjeevi, he made his debut as lead actor with the film Chirutha in 2007. He will be making his Bollywood debut through Zanjeer.


It is rumoured that Ram Charan's people are peeved and want to make it clear that Charan flies high with a 12 crore pay and Priyanka lags behind with a 5.5 crore price tag.

A source said that, "It is ridiculous to even suggest that PC will get a price higher than that of Charan's. Charan is getting 10 crore in Andhra Pradesh and has been signed on for 12 crore now for his Bollywood debut.

Whoever is responsible for these stories should do some serious re-thinking."

Priyanka is not even given half of what Ram Charan is being paid. Her pay pack is just Rs 5.5 crore and another Rs 50 lakhs was allotted to her for travelling expenses, five star hotel accomodation and food.

Whereas the makers had already paid a whopping Rs 10 crore to the telugu megastar Ram Charan and now the actor would get an additional Rs 2 crore after wrapping up the entire shoot. Overall, Charan's pay pack is Rs 12 crore (excluding other expenses).

Ram Charan Teja to share screen with Priyanka and Big B

The remake of the yesteryear classic movie 'Zanjeer' has already invited much controversy over the copyright issues. But it seems that the director Apoorva Lakhia is proceeding with the project and is thinking about including Big B, Amitabh Bachchan into the movie. The sequence will be a guest role played by the superstar where he meets the new generation Vijay, played by Ram Charan Teja.

Big B hasn't said yes to the offer, but there is every possible chance that we will be able to see a cameo of the great superstar on screen with the remake of Zanjeer. Zanjeer was always marked as the milestone in Amitabh Bachchan's career and had given him the make over of his onscreen image to an 'Angry Young Man', which was the trend of movies in late 80's and 90's.

Ram Charan Teja, a popular figure in south movies, son of Chiranjeevi, has already confirmed his entry into Bollywood, and says that he is extremely happy to have the opportunity and is looking forward to meeting Amitabh Bachchan who had made the character of 'Vijay' an icon for Indian youth. The lady lead for the movie is yet to be finalized but it seems that it will be Priyanka Chopra again, who will be doing the movie. A source confirms "The production team has already approached Priyanka Chopra for the role and she is excited in playing the street dancer role, which was made memorable by Mrs Jaya Bachchan, but she has few commitments and she hasn't given a nod on the project".

Priyanka Chopra seems to be having a luck of her own, as she has been part of every Amitabh Bachchan remake movie, be it Don or Agneepath. And to her luck, both movies did outstandingly well at the box office, which adds to her x-factor and makes her the most popular choice for the movie. 

The movie is again produce by the original producers of the movie, Prakash Mehra. The movie will be expected at the theaters by April. Although the controversies surrounding the remake are still going strong, it seems that the film makers are pretty confident in finding a good formula to clear the mess.

We are waiting to see the angry young man roar over the screen again!
