Aishwarya with Aaradhya

Finally actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her first public appearence with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.

Aishwarya who attended the Cannes Film festival reached Mumbai on Friday and was spotted with the little one at Chatrapati Shivaji International airport. And like always even this time Aishwarya was successful in keeping the little one away from the media.

Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan received Aishwarya and their six month old grand daughter Aaradhya at the airport. Abhishek went inside the airport to receive both of them while Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan were waiting outside in the car.

Aishwarya walked out of the common exit instead of the VIP exit. Aishwarya's security was not allowing the media to go close enough to click her daughter’s photos.

A source said that, "Abhishek suddenly got angry when one camera person almost came in Aishwarya's way. He asked the man to be careful." Even Amitabh Bachchan, who was in the driver’s seat, was seen losing his cool too, when a few photographers in their attempt to capture a close-up of Baby B blocked the car’s path.

Aaradhya, was born on November 16, 2011 and till date the Bachchans have been quite successful in keeping the little one away from the harsh glance of the media.

Aishwarya's red-carpet appearance at Cannes got words of praise from film fraternity as well as media. She looked stunning in Abu Jani creations.

A thinner ASH at Cannes

The 65th International Cannes Film Fetival was Aishwarya Rai's first red carpet outing after the birth of Aaradhya Bachchan and she rocked the red carpet.

Aishwarya was rarely seen after the birth of Aaradhya. She had made very few appearances one at a high profile party at the residence of Nita and Mukesh Ambani, in March this year and the wedding reception of Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh. After which there was an online debate about her post pregnancy weight.

At the Cannes film festival she was to be dressed by Jaya Bachchan's favorite designers Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla. Her first outfit in the French Riviera was a boho-chic maxidress by little known Australian designer Angelo Katsapis. Her second outfit at Cannes was her first by Abu-Sandeep, a cream chikankari sari with an underwhelming jacket that took the place of a sari. Her third outfit was a Roberto Cavalli caftan. And the fourth was the most surprising of the lot - a spangly, dark grey Elie Saab gown.

Aishwarya confirmed that her daughter Aaradhya is accompanying her, but is not there at the event.

On the first day when asked about Aaradhya she said, "It's splendid, it's inescapable...the bliss is just wonderful. A smile from my daughter and thats it."

She added that, "She is good, she is great and she is taking a nap right now. I've actually made her go to sleep and only then it's been easy to come here. It's nap time for her."

On day two she said that, "The baby's here in Cannes, but not with me tonight, she's doing well. I can't complain about being busy with the baby because hectic is always being redefined in my life.It was easy to come tonight because I'm not making any films."

This is Aishwarya's 11th year at the International Cannes Film Festiival as the brand ambassador of L'Oreal brand.

Anurag portraying Wasseypur in bad light?

Cast of Gangs of Wasseypur at Cannes Film Festival

Gangs of Wasseypur is the upcoming project from Anurag Kashyap who is known for his off-beat topics. But this time around, he is trying to portray a topic which is known more to the commercial side of Bollywood. The topic revolves around rivalry between coal mine owners around Wasseypur. The movie has been designed with all the commercial elements that you will see in the commercial movies, the colourful scenes, fights, raunchy acts ... Anurag seems to have touched the base about the subject. The movie has been regarded good and is waiting turn to be screened at the 65th Cannes Film Festival.

Now when all these parts mention the good side of the movie, what does people of Wasseypur, a village in Jharkhand feel about the movie? They feel its stupid! The movie is said to be portraying the people of Wassseypur in bad light and they have been very unhappy about this. The social activists around Wassseypur has now submitted a memorandum to Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni and Babulal Marandi requesting ban on the movie. Copies was also sent to Governor Dr Sayed Ahmed and Union Minister Subodhkant Sahay.

The people of Nayabazar, Wasseypur feels that the movie has several situations/dialogues which are done with an intention to defame the people of Wasseypur! They wont agree to anything short of a Ban to the movie and this puts the controversy factor (which usually filmmakers search for) to the movie!

Social activist Parvez Akhtar said Naya Bazaar, Wasseypur is a Muslim-dominated area with a total population of around 2 lakh. He further told Bhaskar News that most of the people in area work in administrative capacities. Portraying the place in such a bad light, in contrast to reality is demeaning, he added.

Now we will have to wait on what Anurag has to say about this, as in promos there are few intentional scenes that might question the morality of people there, but does movies always reflect the true culture of a place?

We are sure this might be tagged as movie which has no resemblance to anyone living or dead!

Kareena will not attend Cannes film festival

Few days back there were reports that Kareena Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are all set for a face-off, when the two will cross paths at the red carpet of Cannes International Film Festival which will be held from May 16th to May 27th. At Cannes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will represent the international cosmetic brand she endorses and Kareena Kapoor would promote Madhur Bhandarkar's movie ‘Heroine’.

It was said that Madhur Bhandarkar’s film "Heroine" would be showcased in Cannes. Madhur had launched Heroine with Aishwarya last year at the Cannes and this time Madhur’s new heroine Kareena would be seen promoting the film. The film Heroine had been launched with much fanfare in Cannes last year, with Aishwarya playing the lead but all plans went wrong when Aishwarya announced her pregnancy after the trip to Cannes.

She later let go off the project after which Kareena was selected for the role. After that the two havn't come face-to-face.

A source said that, “Their representatives are making sure that they do not walk the red carpet on the same day.Kareena, if she does make it to Cannes, will do so to promote her film, while Ash for her brand endorsement.

But expect some fireworks to take place as Ash was once a part of the film, Kareena is right now."

After hearing all this Madhur Bhandarkar director of the movie Heroine made it clear that Kareena is too busy to attend the Cannes Film Festival this year. Madhur Bhandarkar even posted on Twitter to clear all rumours and wrote, “Media reporting that 1st look of #Heroine is going to be launched in Cannes are baseless.(sic), Me, Kareena & the whole team are busy shooting #Heroine through the whole month of April & May, so no question of visiting Cannes(sic).”

So now there will be no face off between Kareena and Aishwarya at Cannes.

There are even rumours that Asihwarya will be there with her baby Aaradhya.
