'Fetch' With HTC One Series; Technology That Prevents Phone Theft!

Cutting edge technology added on to the costliest HTC phone in market. Yes, then HTC one max will now ship with a novel technology which should help the owners to track the mobile location and prevent a chance of theft.

The new technology 'Fetch' by HTC works with HTC one max, and it uses both the GPS and the triangular tower matching technology to get the location of the device. “You will never lose your HTC phone if you have Fetch. This can be paired (connected wirelessly) with any HTC One series phone.

As soon as an HTC One owner walks 10 meters beyond the phone, the phone will start ringing. An e-mail will also immediately be sent, showing the location of the phone on Google Maps,” HTC India’s Country Head Faisal Siddiqui said here. The company introduced the tracker on Friday along with the HTC One Max, which has a maximum retail price of Rs 61,490. The new phone is offered by some retailers at Rs 56,490 and customers will have to pay an additional Rs 2,500 for Fetch.

He said it will be difficult to steal an HTC One Max that is paired with Fetch because the phone has a finger scanner and will open only after recognising the owner’s fingerprint. “A thief will not be able unpair Fetch from HTC One Max as his fingerprint will not match. This will not allow him to change any setting in the phone,” he said.

HTC One Max Will Feature Finger Print Security

Following the path of much successful iphone 5S finger print reader, it is HTC that is the first to introduce the system on to Android platform. HTC has released One Max, with finger print reader identical to Apple Iphone 5S.

The phone will be a 5.9 inch screen running Android 4.3. The phone can run on fourth-generation Long-Term Evolution networks, it said in a statement yesterday. The device, using Qualcomm Inc.’s Snapdragon 600 processor will debut in China, U.K. and Taiwan before starting U.S. sales, Chief Marketing Officer Ben Ho said in an interview today.

The Taiwanese company had registered a loss in the first quarter and is planning to regain the market with the newly released HTC one max. The market was easily taken away from HTC by the leader Samsung and the new defined Sony Xperia series.

“Large-screen phones have been picked up in Asia more than in Western countries, and the trend for larger is definitely there,” Ho said by phone. One Max is HTC’s last major product release this year ahead of the next One device expected in the first quarter, he said.

The phone will be officially unveiled at a press conference today in Beijing and becomes the latest model to be first shown in China. Various models of its Desire series as well as China-specific phones have been released first in that market, Ho said.
