Motorola to unveil the Moto G Today Globally - Register In

Motorola seems all set to re-enter the Indian market after a brief sabbatical with its upcoming smartphone, the Moto G, hints a teaser ahead of the scheduled November 13 announcement.

The Google owned handset manufacturer has released yet another teaser for its next smartphone, however unlike the earlier teaser which pointed to the release of Moto G in various markets, including India. This one specifically said, "Namaste, India!", and the salutation leaves us even more positive of an India release. The new teaser image posted on Facebook shows the Motorola logo in the centre with the Taj Mahal in the background.

In addition, the Facebook post by Motorola recommends that users register on Moto G's dedicated website for November 13's global live stream. Aside from the teaser post, Motorola has not provided any new details related to the upcoming Moto G smartphone.

On Monday, Motorola Moto G's price was revealed thanks to an Amazon listing that was pulled down immediately. The Motorola Moto G aka Motorola DVX/XT1032 (16GB) was listed at Amazon UK for 159.99 British Pounds, which translated to roughly Rs. 16,100. The Amazon listing also revealed that the Moto G will be available starting November 14 and clearly mentioned that the price was for a factory unlocked phone, with the listing saying, "This is a UK SIM free phone."

Earlier leaked specifications of the Motorola Moto G include a 4.5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass; 5-megapixel rear camera; 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera; 8GB inbuilt storage (no word on expandable storage support), and Bluetooth 4.0. Further, the Moto G is expected to be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8226 processor with Adreno 305 GPU.

Curved Glass Phone By Samsung In October

Samsung plans to introduce a smartphone with a curved glass display in October, the company announced at a media event in Seoul on Wednesday.

"We plan to introduce a smartphone with a curved display in South Korea in October," D.J. Lee, Samsung's mobile business head of strategic marketing,

said at an event launching the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone, according to a Reuters' account of the event.

No other details on the handset were revealed. It's unknown whether by "curved display" Lee is referring to a much rumored smartphone with a flexible display. Samsung, which overtook Apple as the world's most profitable smartphone maker in July, first showed off a prototype flexible AMOLED screen at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2011.

Samsung's Nexus S was the first smartphone to offer a "Contour Display" that was designed to fit more comfortably in your palm. However, CNET found the contour display in the Nexus S gimmicky.

Samsung is not alone in exploring curved displays. Earlier this year it was reported that Apple was experimenting with wristwatch-like iOS devices that sport curved glass.

Panasonic Launches 3 New Phones - Panasonic P11, Panasonic T11, Panasonic T21

Panasonic has officially launched three new dual-SIM Android smartphones in the Indian market. These phones include P11 and T11 phones, which were found to be on sale at one online retailer last week. The third smartphone to be unveiled today is Panasonic T21.Panasonic T21

The newly released phones will join the company’s already available P51 smartphone in the country. Coming to the specifications, Panasonic T21 runs on Android 4.1 and is powered by 1.2GHz Broadcom 28145 dual-core processor.

The phone also comes with 4.5-inch 720p HD display, 4GB of storage, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and 1700 mAh battery.

T21 has been priced at INR 13,990 and will be available beginning this week.

Panasonic T11 features a 4-inch WVGA display, Android 4.1, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, 5MP rear camera, front camera, and 1500 mAh battery. On the other hand, P11 packs a 5-inch 720p HD display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 2000 mAh battery, Android 4.1, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera.Panasonic P11 and T11

Panasonic P11 and T11 have been priced at INR 16,490 and INR 9,790 respectively and are already available in the country.

“With the launch of these devices, we are yet again raising the bar for innovation. Smartphone is a reflection of who you are, and since we are all different, it is imperative that we do not adopt a ‘one size fits all approach’. Panasonic’s new offerings will deliver a remarkable mobile experience to our consumers and set a new standard in premium smartphones,” said Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India.
