Munnabhai Ki Atma Katha - Movie Finalized

After the speculations of Munnabhai series, Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Raju Hirani has finally announced the sequel to Munnabhai story. This time it is Munnabhai Ki Atma Katha (Biography of Munnabhai). The new movie is said to be a bigger bang than what happened on the previous two episodes of Munnabhai. 

There will be no change in cast as the 52 year old Actor Sanjay Dutt will still do the role of Munnabhai and Arshad Warsi will portray the famous sidekick circut. Vinod Chopra confirms, saying, "Sanjay and Arshad are returning to play Munna and Circuit. We are developing the script right now, and the film should start in 2012." 

Interestingly, it is a well-known fact that Chopra was offered a huge amount of money by a Hollywood studio to part with the super successful franchise, but he hasn't bitten the bait yet.

Earlier there was rumors that there will be change in the lead cast and the movie was set to be shot in America.

Sanjay Dutt Rubbishes Rumors

The buzz was that Munna Bhai sequel will now have Aamir Khan doing the role of Munna Bhai, this seems to be as false as any other story, says Sanjay Dutt. Sanjay who had personified the character Munna Bhai in the prequels, Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai mentioned that the rumors are just vivid imagination of a reporter and holds nothing for truth. He was speaking to the press yesterday when this event happened. The question about him being side lined from the sequel had cracked Sanjay!

Sanjay said that he had talks with Rajkumar Hirani two days earlier and they are actively working on the script to get this movie real! The movie should be coming up next year and this should be the same team as previous!

So finally we did wonder if Aamir will cover up for the real Munna Bhai, and this time there is no replacement and the brand still is tagged by Sanjay Dutt!

MunnaBhai Again!

Another sequel in the making 

Rajkumar Hirani says he is busy writing the script for his next movie starring the Munna - Circut jodi which had rocked the movies in the previous editions. Both Munna Bhai M.B.B.S and Lage Raho Munna Bhai has been super duper hits in the industry and had opened a great chapter for both the actors. The director of the movie is now planning a sequel for this story and this is likely to be shot at America. The movie is named as Munna Bhai Chale America.

Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi had been having a greater career break after the first two movies starring them, they also had few flops which are easily blamed on the weaker stories and scripts in effect. We hope the new movie turns out a greater success than the prequels.

Sources mention that Rajkumar Hirani is working along with writer Abhijat Joshi from US and they will be announcing the movie as soon as the script gets completed. The dates for both Sanjay and Arshad has been booked for the start of February next year and they will start the shooting probably during the period.
