Ajay and Kangana's cold war

Kangna Ranaut and Ajay Devgn were good friends until things went wrong during the shoot of the movie 'Rascals'. After that Kangna was deliberatly kept out of promotions of 'Rascals'. The same even continued during the filming of their upcoming movie 'Tezz'. 

It is said that Ajay kept a safe distance from Kangana as soon as he got to know that Kangna was part of Tezz.

With Tezz all set to release soon, they have been going all out for the promotional activities. At a recent promotional event for 'Tezz', Ajay went all out praising co-star Sameera Reddy and even called her the real action heroine of the film. He thanked everyone from the cast and crew but didn't mention Kangna's name even once. Ajay and Kangna didn’t even exchange glances when they came together on the stage.

A source said that, “While Ajay praised Sameera (Reddy) for the action sequences she has done and thanked Anil, Priyan and Ratan for the wonderful experience of working in the film, he didn’t mention Kang’s name even once. More so since they’re paired together and the crux of the story exists solely on the circumstances their on-screen characters face. And Kangna was so upset with this ignorance that she decided to avoid Ajay by not accompanying the cast on promotional tours.” 

He added that, “So much so that even producer Ratan Jain was worried how the ‘ignorance is bliss’ stance between his lead pair would shift the focus away from the music launch.”

Ajay Devgn said that this even though Kangana had a bigger role to play in the movie as compared to Sameera. After which Kangna was so upset that she decided not to accompany the starcast for promoting the movie. How long will this cold war go on between the two actors ???

Tezz is an upcoming Hindi action thriller film directed by Priyadarshan. The film features Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Boman Irani, Kangna Ranaut, Sameera Reddy, Zayed Khan and Mohanlal in lead roles. It is expected to it theaters on 27 April, 2012. Tezz was earlier titled "Bullet Train". The official trailer was released on January 4, 2012.

Priyadarshan is my key factor... - Mohanlal

The veteran actor from Malayalam Movie industry is clear about what he wants for the role and says that he is happy to have done Tezz, and explains it as one of the best movies by his friend and director Priyadarshan, Mohanlal was speaking to the media on the audio launch for Tezz. He says "I am playing a police officer. It's a small role, but the placement of the role is very critical in the film. This is one of Priyadarshan's best films. Action, choreography ... everything is brilliant," Also he continued praising the talent of Priyadarshan over his movies "He has made more than 84 films. He has grown a lot. He is thorough with his job. His way of making a film, his way of taking a song and choreographing it is entirely different," says Mohanlal.

Mohanlal is excited about the role but he says that he doesn't want to prove anything in Bollywood when he chooses his movies, he says "Company was enough for me. With this particular film Tezz, Priyadarshan is my key factor... not my role or anything,", the actor has had many offers after his first Bollywood movie, Company, which did jump into the hit charts. Ever since he has been choosy about the roles he take up and is carefully handling the best and 'irresistible story' line that he hears. "Company was an irresistible role for me. A couple of (Bollywood) scripts came to me after that, but I didn't find anything interesting. For an actor to get a good role is a blessing," says the superstar.

He has ruled the Malayalam movie industry for the past 30 years and he says he is pretty happy to be staying in his mother tongue. When asked about the entry of south stars like Prithviraj, Rana Daggubati, Ram Charan Teja, Dhanush and Siddharth into the industry, he clearly stated that he has no desires like them and he has nothing to be proved "I am not a newcomer! I have been in this industry for so long. What should I prove? I am happy with my own language. Now if I get a very irresistible role I will try it. I don't want to prove anything. Others from the south who are settling in Bollywood are newcomers. They want to do Hindi films for various factors," added the 51 year old.

Explaining his experience through Tezz, he said that it was all Priyadarshan's style of handling and he is pretty happy about it. "Most of the actors are comfortable doing Priyadarshan's film. He knows how to use or handle an artist. He is one of the greatest directors I know and of course he is my friend,"

Producer wants Mallika, Director wants Sameera !!!!

The makers of Tezz starring Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor and Zayed Khan land up having an argument. A lot of fuss is being created over one item song. Well a few weeks ago Sameera Reddy who was to do the introductory item song in Priyadarshan's 'Tezz' produced by Ratan Jain had been dropped and was replaced by Mallika Sherawat, the third actress who had been approached to do the item song ,after Priyanka Chopra backed out. 

It was producer Ratan Jain's idea to cast his favourite Mallika Sherawat for the song. Priyadarshan though not happy with Jain's idea to include an item number, had given in to the decision. It was scheduled to be shot over two days - February 27 and 28 with two ladies Sameera Reddy and Mallika Sherawat. While Director Priyadarshan insisted on casting only Sameera in the song, Ratan Jain wanted his favourite Mallika. 

The debate over the two divas went out of hand, and Priyan told Jain that he wouldn't direct the song that will have Mallika Sherawat. As a result, the shoot has now been postponed by two days. Confirming that the shoot is now scheduled for February 29, Jain said, "Its irrelevant whether Sameera does the song or Mallika. I don't insist. I only do what is best for my film. Priyan and I did have a discussion. However, he never said that he only wanted Sameera in the picture."

Mohanlal not happy with 'Tezz'

The Mollywood super star, Mohanlal is open about his disagreement when the promos of 'Tezz' got released. He found that he had lesser screen presence compared to the other actors in the movie and he took out the social networking to comment his views and there has been a quite lot of fans supporting the star. Although the role of Mohanlal in the movie is more close to a guest role or a cameo, still he feels that he has been shown in a shorter length of time than what is normal.

The promos mainly have Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor in most of the scenes in promos. But on the other hand production house confirms that Mohanlal has been paid ransom for his presence and the signing amount is close to the full fledged remuneration that he receives for a Malayalam movie.

Clearing the air, Suresh Krishna, Priyadarshan's associate explains, "Mohanlal has just six scenes in this film. He shot for seven days - two days in London, two days in Birmingham and three days in Mumbai. So you can imagine the length of the role. Out of the 2,500 prints of the film, only 10 will be screened in Kerala. Incidentally, this is a film that is being released in States like Punjab and Haryana where people know Bollywood stars better than they do any other south star. So, it might not be too easy to market a Bollywood movie with Mohanlal."

A source close to the production house confirmed his million rupee round up and said "He was paid just around the same amount that he usually takes home for a full-fledged Malayalam film. From industry reports, that amount goes into crores. You do the math."

But the producers seems to have taken the uproar seriously and are planning to release the next promo with equal importance to Mohanlal and Ajay Devgn, so we can wait in peace for the next promo to be released.

Sameera Reddy to Do Cameo for Tezz

Priyans desire for Sameera!

The director of many hits with Akshay Kumar and almost the hit director for a couple of years is trying to make a come back with his latest venture Tezz, the movie stars Ajay Devgan and Anil Kapoor. The movie will also show Mohanlal, the pronounced actor from Malayalam movies. The recent news in the making is that Priyan has fixed on Sameera to do a cameo in the movie!

According to the director of the movie, Sameera plays the role of a club dancer and no other person will be apt for the role than Sameera herself. There will be a shot with Mohanlal too on this cameo. Although the talks are that there has been a queue of heroines wanting to do this number but the director thought otherwise. The movie also stars Kunal Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Boman Irani and Priyanka Chopra for a special Item number!

Its not the first for Sameera though, Aakrosh, the last year flick also saw Sameera Reddy doing the Item number for the director. The movie is set to be released by next year and the schedule will be started by next month. Currently Priyan is busy with his chairperson post at Kerala State Film Academy. 

Priyan has expressed his great concern considering that Kerala is very cinema literate state and running/organizing film festivals is going to be tougher, also this post was previously occupied by Adoor Gopalakrishnan, a well known film director and winner of many National awards.  

Speaking further, Priyan mentioned greatest shock in the death of actress Rasika Joshi, he said that she was his female Paresh Rawal and his favorite female actor!

We feel for Rasika and silently pray for her, also congrats Sameera!
