Iconic Women of 2012: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

The Indian beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who attended the L’Oreal Paris-Femina Women awards in Mumbai on March 22, 2012, gave away a special award to the 'woman most worth it' i.e. to her mother. She said that her mom Vrinda Rai is responsible for whatever she is today. 

Aishwarya honored her mother on stage and said, ''I would like to thank L'Oreal Paris for giving me such a great platform to show my appreciation to the woman who's most worth it to me, the nucleus of my life, my mother.'' She added, “She is the nucleus of my existence; who has gently moulded me, shaped me, picked me up when I’ve been down, has faith in me and taught me to be the very best version of me that I can be”.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was honored with The ICONIC Woman of Worth Award at the L’Oreal Paris Femina Awards 2012 which took place at the ITC Grand Central, Parel. She was presented this award by Nathalie Gerschtein, Director, L’Oreal Paris.

Aishwarya looked stunning in an Abu Jani- Sandeep Khosla outfit from their new summer collection.

Aishwarya was there to present the winner of the L’Oreal Paris Femina ‘Who’s worth it award’, which was given to Nicola Esteves who was nominated for the award by her husband Anand Esteves.

Oprah Winfrey grateful to Aishwariya Rai

Oprah Winfrey who had paid visit to India recently had stunned her fans when she came out draped in a saree, the dress matched her so much that she has been showered with praises from all around. Oprah although is grateful to Aishwariya Rai for all the praises that she has been receiving, the saree was gifted by Aishwariya Rai to her when she had visited the Bachchan's residence.

Oprah is so impressed with the dress that she is planning to take the dress all the way to US. Oprah and Aishwariya share a special relationship and this started with the appearance of the star twice at the Oprah show and this is the reason why Oprah wanted to see two month old baby of Aishwariya Rai Bachchan as soon as she stepped in at Mumbai.

The two seem to have had a decent time talking and this was then that Aish gifted the beautiful saree to the anchor. Oprah was also happy to meet the 'Princess' as she calls the baby doll of Aishwariya Rai.

Aishwariya and Baby, hale 'n' hearty - AB

The much awaited baby of Bachchan Bahu has arrived, Aishwariya Rai gave birth to a baby girl today at Mumbai. According to medical reports, both baby and mother is in good health condition, the actress was attended by the renowned gynecologist, Dr. Vinita Salvi. Aishwarya will leave the deluxe VIP room in the coveted Seven Hills Hospital of Andheri, Mumbai in a day or two.

Following the news Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, "I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl !!". Over excited Abhishek Bachchan tweeted, "IT'S A GIRL!!!!!! :)))))"

Although the pictures of the child are yet to be released, but it seems whole of Bollywood is excited about news and the wishes are flowing through calls and tweets. The another striking similarity is that the new born baby girl is scorpion by star sign, as is her mother.

Later today Abhishek Bachchan tweeted ""Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. Both Aishwarya and the baby are doing great and taking some much needed rest,"

The father is too excited and has taken the opportunity to take some rest after the long nights through the delivery period. The actor seems to be so excited and mentioned in his tweet "And I`m trying my level best to get rid of this caffeine high and get some sleep too. Don`t think it`ll work. TOO EXCITED!!!!"

Twins bash for Aish-Abhi!

ishwariya Rai Bachchan should be having double fun come the January of this month as there has been confirmed reports that the couple will be having twin kids. It will be a double bash for the family as the pregnancy reports itself had been a cause of celebration at the Bachchan family. The reports are being confirmed by doctors too, a source close to the family mentioned " Its totally a private affair, but yes, the whole family is in the joy of the news and the celebrations are already on, doctors have confirmed the twins".

The actress has been on low profile ever since the news of pregnancy was announced and there has been very rare sightings of the actress in public. Although the junior Bachchan is already in high spirits on the news. Abhishek is now busy finishing his schedule for 'Bol Bachchan' with Ajay Devgan. The reports are that Abhishek will be taking his time off during January to be with him wife.

We think the idea ad of Abhishek Bachchan came at the wrong hour, although his baby comes before 3G!!

I am not for Cheap Publicity - Aishwariya Rai

Aishwariya Rai was clean when an International magazine had approached her to show off her baby bump for a cost. She was quick to reject the offer and mentioned that she doesn't believe in showing off this private happiness of her family and she feels that she is not the one for the cheap publicity. Along with her the Bachchan family has extended the support for her stance as Junior Bachchan is also against such a shoot.

The entertainment media is quite thirsty to get the looks of Aishwariya Rai at the earliest and there is a silent race happening between the media to get her first photoshoot published. But since the announcement of pregnancy, there has been only two times when Aishwariya Rai attended a public function. The first was for the honorary award by the French government which got cancelled due to mishap at Mumbai and the second time for the same occasion but a different venue. She was quite glowing during both the functions which was expected but since then the door to Bachchan Bahu was shut.

Its not rare that heroines do shoot when they conceive, the famous shoots of Monica Bellucci had gained much publicity and criticism, apart from the west, Mandira Bedi, the famous actor from bollywood had also done a photoshoot to exhibit her baby bump. Konkana Sen Sharma also joined the gang of celebrities who did find publicity with their baby bumps being exhibited.

Apart from this, the news is that there is a crew who has approached Lara Dutta, who has conceived and the photoshoot is being thought about by Lara, we haven't received much updates on this though.

So after all those mess Bachchan Bahu stands out !
