Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 On Playstore Now! Starts at 28,999 Onwards

Smartphone enthusiasts can now buy the latest Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7 in India from the Google stable in India, priced Rs 28,999 onwards.

Nexus 5, which is now available on Google's Play store for Indian consumers, is the first device powered by the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

The 16GB model of Nexus 5 would be available for Rs 28,999, while the 32GB model would cost Rs 32,999, according to information on Google Playstore.

Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 2.26 GHz processor, the handset has a 4.95-inch screen, 8MP rear camera, 1.3 MP front camera, wireless charging and supports 4G/LTE.

Nexus 7, the seven-inch tablet from Google, will be priced at Rs 20,999 (16GB) and Rs 23,999 (32GB) for the WiFi version, while the 32GB LTE variant will cost Rs 27,999.

With a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB RAM, Nexus 7 features a 1.2MP front facing and 5MP rear facing camera.

Go Dimensions: Young Brothers Rock The SAP Event In Bangalore

The youngest entrepreneurs were here at the SAP event to describe how motivation and ideas can drive you to hundreds of people who had gathered to learn from them. Shravan Kumaran and Sanjay Kumaran, 14 and 12 years of age respectively are the youngest entrepreneurs and brothers who founded Go Dimensions.

Shravan holds the post as president and Sanjay is the CEO for the firm. The company was founded two years earlier and have a wide variety of games and apps spread across Apple App Store and Google play. They started off with the famous iOS game Catch Me Cop.

On Saturday, they stood before the 5,500 attendees at an SAP event in Bangalore, and talked about how to ideate, and draw up a business plan. "You should have a strong idea, self-confidence, a good business plan and know about sources of funding," said Sanjay with the confidence that you normally only see in much older people. And he then went on to ask: "Have you heard of dad funding?" The crowd roared.

Go Dimensions currently have 11 apps distributed across iOS and Android platforms, but they still enjoy the first game that they had developed from their bedroom in Chennai. Shravan is in class 9 and Sanjay in class 7 at the Vael's Billabong International High School in Chennai.

"We developed more than 150 test apps before releasing the first app, Catch Me Cop. That app was launched within a week of submission to Apple, and that was really exciting. Another app, Alphabet Board, got a rating of 5 on the app store," said Shravan, who credits Apple founder Steve Jobs for inspiring him to be what he is today. "Jobs is the big daddy of clean and intuitive user interfaces and who changed the way we communicate. And how can I forget his famous line, `Stay hungry, Stay foolish'," he said.

The star status of the boys hasn't affected their studies and school going. Thanks to the loving parents who are strictly advising them to do regular schooling despite the fact that teachers are encouraging them to be at home and be more productive.

"Some of the teachers told them they would be more productive at home than coming to school," said their mother and former journalist Jyothi Lakshmi. But they are clear they will attend classes regularly, and also pursue their love for cricket and the keyboard. They admire Dhoni for his aggressive play. The boys credit their father Kumaran Surendran, director with anti-virus and security solutions company Symantec, for encouraging them to learn programming and play with gadgets.

Modi Run - A Narendra Modi Game - Goes Viral On Playstore

Narendra Modi is the new hit brand in India. It has been less than a month since the Gujarat CM was announced as the BJP's PM candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls but brand NaMo is already gaining steam.

The Narendra Modi android smart phone called Smart NaMo has created a buzz among mobile buyers and fans of the BJP leader.

The game on the Google Play Store called Modi Run has seen many people rush to download and play the game. The game created by Dexati was released on Android phones via the Google Play Store on July 28, 2013.

Many Modi supporters have been keenly playing the game and enjoying it.

It's description on the Play Store reads, "Help Modi through all the states and gather the votes to win the election and become PM of India. Modi Run is an action game where politician Modi runs through all the states and wins over the election to become Prime Minister of India.

The game is more like Super Mario than Temple Run though the name makes you feel that it's based on the latter. With the famous Arabian Sea in the background for the Mumbai part, Narendra Modi is seen running, jumping and trying to reach the ballot box as the player needs to help him become PM by clearing all 12 levels of the game.

Tarun Gandhi, 24, who likes playing adventure mobile games said, "The Modi Run game is a little amateur compared to the other games that are there on Play Store. But I'm sure Modi fans will download the game and love it."

Sheetal Pande, 28, another mobile game enthusiast said, "There's nothing out of the world about the game. Gamers will not like it, but Modi lovers will have fun as they will feel they are helping the Gujarat CM win the game and the Lok Sabha polls ending up as PM in 2014. As a concept it's a great idea by the makers - Dexati."

Nexus 7 16GB in Indian Market!

Finally Nexus 7 available from Google Play Store India!

Finally the long wait is over, the google Nexus 7 tab will now be available directly from the Google Playstore India, the recent entry into the playstore - the tablet is in high demand and is selling quick. The only available version on playstore is 16G wifi version of the tab. The tablet will be shipped by 5 April if one places an order today. The price does not include shipping charges, which are calculated at checkout, but you need to pay through your credit or debit card. We did not see any extra shipping charges on the payment screen.

The development comes close on the heels of Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt's India visit during which he promised that Google will soon sell Nexus devices in the Indian market and that it wanted a fully serviced market.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that the tablet is being launched in India. In November 2012, Asus, the company that manufactures the tablet, had started selling limited quantities of the device, through Croma Retail stores, for a price of Rs. 19,999.

The Nexus 7 was first showcased in June 2012 and went on sale from mid-July. At the time of its launch, the 8GB Wi-Fi version of Nexus 7 was available for $199, but it has since been replaced by a 16GB version at the same price. The tablet runs Android Jelly Bean (version 4.1) and is powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, which clocks at 1.3 GHz. The Nexus 7 comes with a 7-inch IPS display screen with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels and pixel density of 216 ppi. The tablet has 1GB of RAM, a 1.2 megapixel front camera and a 4325 mAh battery. It also includes NFC functionality.
