Esha's grand reception

Actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini hosted a grand reception for their daughter and new son-in-law in Mumbai on Saturday night.

Esha married fiance Bharat Takthani on Friday 29th June, 2012 in a traditional south Indian style wedding.

The reception was held on 30th June, 2012. It was a European style reception with celestial white decor, that translated into the use of crystals and over one lakh white roses. The grand reception was held at a suburban five star hotel. Esha looked stunning in the outfit she clad which was designed by Rocky S, a quaint rose pink corset teamed with Swarovski studded mermaid style lehenga in matching hues. The groom Bharat Takhtani was donned in a black suit with a white shirt designed by Simone. 

Dharmendra said that, "I am very happy that my daughter has got married and it is her reception today. I have got a very nice son-in-law."

Hema Malini, who was looking gorgeous in a cream emroidered sari which was designed by designer Neeta Lulla.

More than 1000 people, including politicians, corporate personalities and the Bollywood celebs like veteran actors Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu, Jeetendra with wife Shobha Kapoor and son Tushar Kapoor, Sanjay Khan, new Rajya Sabha MP Rekha, and Zeenat Aman. A little younger group included stars like Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit with her hubby Dr. Nene, Sushmita Sen, Tabu, Kajol, Tanuja, Tanisha, Mandira Bedi, Anupam Kher, Fardeen Khan Zayed Khan and Sridevi with Bobby Kapoor. Salman Khan, who had taken charge of Esha's wedding celebrations, was also present. 

Actress Saira Banu, who was wearing an orange sari, said that, "We are very happy for Esha and Bharat. We wish them good luck and this is going to be very happy for them."

While Bollywood celebs started arriving after 10 pm, the earlier part of the evening saw political biggies arriving to bless the couple.

From the political gang senior BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Raj Thackeray, Sushma Swaraj, LK Advani, Uddhav Thackeray, Amar Singh, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Narayan Rani, Suresh Kalmadi and many others were present.

Hema Malini's younger daughter Ahaana was spotted sporadically with her friends.

Inside the main venue, a separate passageway was made to take VIP guests straight to the stage. While Dharmendra dutifully carried out his responsibilities as the father of the bride, guests just couldn't resist shaking hands with him, and posing for pictures with him.

In between meeting guests, Esha was seen jiggying to the live music there. Unfortunately, it seems that with the sheer number of guests waiting to meet them, Bharat and Esha couldn't manage to hit the dance floor.

Jennifer Lopez - Top on Forbes Magazine

Jennifer Lopez has climbed high and this time she is climbed up from the spot of 50 to the first position. We are talking about the rankings of Jennifer from last year and this year. She has done extremely well with PR and she now is regarded as the most powerful celebrity. In the competition she has outdone Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey and Rihanna. Thanks to her high public profile and endeavours in music, movies, as a judge on 'American Idol' and other endorsement deals, with her income over the last 12 months reaching a staggering $52 million.

The Celebrity 100 - which placed TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey second and Justin Bieber third - is based on income over a 12 month period and fame, as defined by a media presence across all platforms including Facebook and Twitter. The list is prepared by the Forbes magazine under Forbes magazine's annual Celebrity 100 list.

Jennifer Lopez's fame was boosted by her 23,000 press mentions, including appearing on 46 major magazine covers, topping People's 2011 Most Beautiful list and being named as a Glamour Woman of the Year.

In fourth spot was Rihanna, while Lady Gaga was placed fifth on this year's list .

Rounding out the top 10 on the Celebrity 100 - which includes film and television actors, TV personalities, models, athletes, authors, musicians and comedians- were Britney Spears in sixth place, one spot ahead of Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry in eighth, Tom Cruise, in ninth and Steven Spielberg at 10.
