'Warning' every year - Says Anubhav

Anubhav Sinha who had a dream run with Ra.One has been in news now for the horror movie that he is about to be producing. The latest news is that he is all set to release a horror franchise named 'Warning'. The movies will be inspired by various horror flicks which were released internationally. And Abhinav has also gained up the movie remake rights for the project start.

"I am creating a horror franchise and worldwide there have been several such franchises from which I have been inspired. For the first in the series, I have already bought remake rights. I plan to create a brand in the form of `Warning` and starting this year, I aim to release one `Warning` every year," Anubhav told PTI.

Anubhav, however doesn't plan to make the movies star studded, he holds to his line that he will be adding in characters as per the demand of the script, "These decisions are taken not by me but the film itself. You choose the film and then the film chooses everyone else; a film decides everything on its own. When you watch a film like Warning, you would realise that it can't be made with stars. Even though I have started work on the second episode of Warning, I am not even considering roping in any stars even if the first one turns out to be a massive success. I am not lured by that," he said.

Although his theory on not roping stars hold only for 'Warning' as his other production with Sudhir Mishra will have a star playing the lead role "Sudhir bhai's film would require a known face. Though it would have 10-12 really important characters, the script demands that one of them is a known face. It is going to be a beautiful ensemble and there has been a collective call taken between Sudhir and me to rope in a star here," said Anubhav.

Ask him why he is now going off-beat and horror ridden, after a massive success of a flick like Ra.One, he says "Sudhir and my relationship dates back 20 years. He is like my elder brother. He is not making an offbeat film at all. Do you call his Yeh Saali Zindagi as offbeat? Not that our next would have any similarity to that but I am commenting on his sensibilities here."

The duo is going through names that suit the film which they are planning to bring on floor.

"There is no hurry though since Sudhir would first be making Mehrunissa. We would be starting our film only early next year and while things are looking good on paper, we are in talks with actors who would suit the script and setup," said Anubhav.

Anubhav is currently producing Gulaab Gang, a Madhuri Dixit starrer along with his new horror flick 'Warning'.

Anubhav is also planning to return to his directorial venture "I have decided what I would be making next and currently am in the process of writing dialogues. Perhaps in a few weeks from now, I would be able to make an announcement," he said.

I am unhappy with Madhuri Dixit - Sampat Pal Devi

When Madhuri Dixit decides it is always a big news and is wide spread - the fans around her readily accepts her acts and when she said she is doing Gulab Gang, her fans were thrilled but it seems that not everyone shares the same emotion. Sampat Pal Devi, an activist and founder of Gulabi Gang is extremely angry about the latest news and she is ready to take her rage against the film makers and Madhuri too!

“I am unhappy with Madhuri Dixit. She is going ahead with the film without even checking with me. Without our permission, Madhuri shouldn’t work in such a film,” says an irate Pal. “Meri izzat ka sawaal hai (it’s all about my dignity). The film can’t be made without my approval.” adds Sampat Pal.

“Do filmmakers ever make a film based on real life? They come up with movies merely based on newspaper reports and Internet stories. Madhuri Dixit kya hai hamare aage? (who is Madhuri Dixit in front of me?). People like her are just making money while we help the poor for free.” says the 65 year old, furious Sampat Pal Devi.

The film makers had earlier mentioned that this doesn't bear resemblance to the organization of Sampat Pal Devi, but she disagrees "Instead, they claim it’s a different film. But my question is: where is this Gulab Gang? In which part (of country) are they active? They have to clarify these details. Everyone knows it’s our gang. In the coming days, we will protest against the film,” she says, adding, “If the film gets made, I will go across the country and create trouble for the makers.”

With these rages in progress, the filmmakers had also claimed that the Gulab Gang members were also aware of the movie and were eager to meet the Bollywood beauty, but the president disagrees it strongly and denies any such act from their team "Who’s going to meet them? I am the leader of the gang. How can someone else meet them on our behalf? How can they make a film by simply wearing pink saris?”. Sampat Pal is also planning a legal attack over the movie.

The movie has been conceptualised by Soumik and Sinha. The film will release on March 8 (International Women’s Day), 2013.

The Gulabi gang is a group of women vigilantes and activists originally from Banda in Bundelkhand district, Uttar Pradesh.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulabi_gang
