Emraan Hashmi : I wanted to get out of the safety net

Emraan Hashmi has come a long drive from a assistant director to the lead and most wanted actor of Bollywood. The journey which started with direction of Raaz 10 years early has now come at a point where he plays the lead in the sequel to the movie. As always Emraan is confident about his role and he feels this to be the right kind of role that he wanted to do.

In a recent interview to DNA, the actor said that he did not want to be doing the safe movies/sure hit movies which the Bhatt camp gave him and he wanted to try more with other directors - explaining his moving away from the Bhatt camp. He says "It (moving out of the Bhatt camp) was intentional. I wanted to get out of the safety net. The Bhatts do great films, but I was only doing films with them. So, it was better for all of us that we work with different people to evolve creatively. And whenever we come together again for a film, we will be able to give the audience something different."

And we are sure that changed a lot in his career, since then there is no looking back for the actor and he has gained much of critical acclaim with this. He understands that there were lot of mistakes in his career at start but that eventually gave him the image that he is currently holding up. "Every day is a learning experience. I started around 10 years ago as the assistant director for Raaz. I never thought I’d be an actor then, but due to the turn of events I got into films. And up until a few years ago, I was struggling with films, making mistakes. But everything’s changed now."  says Emraan.

As for actresses like Bipasha Basu or Kareena Kapoor not willing to do a movie with him, he politely answers with extreme diplomacy "My priority is doing good films. What people feel or think doesn’t affect me. If someone thinks that doing a film with me won’t add to their career graph, then they are probably right in their place. Their presence or absence won’t affect my career or my decision to do good films. I am willing to learn more. I believe that one needs to have conviction to be successful."

The actor is preparing for his upcoming venture with Vidya Balan, a comedy movie named 'Ghanchakkar', "It’s fantastic.A lot of unfulfilled wishes were there when my character Abraham didn’t end up with Vidya’s in The Dirty Picture. So, I guess the audience will love to see this new chemistry between us. Besides, there is a comfort level that I share with her, so it was fun." says Emraan about the pairing with Vidya Balan once again!

However hard he is rejected or outcast from the industry, the actor comes up with a bigger thrust, he says he is not much cared about the Rs. 100crore club or the genre of movies, he just wishes to do good roles with equally good story.

And this is his success mantra - Job done well!

Bipasha Says - Still Single, having fun like 18 year old

Bipasha Basu confesses that she is not as sultry as she is shown on screen, it is just her screen persona that makes her look so. She says that even when she plays a shattered housewife, the audience tag her as a sexy housewife! The sexy image of Bipasha Basu did not happen in a day but it has been made through her 10 year long career in which she saw the tough part and the happy parts. Luckily for her she is still the heart-throbe of many and continues to give thrills to the audience who watches. 

Her recent song from Raaz 3 shows one of the most sexy avtars of Bipasha, (view video) and she sizzles through the video like none other. The actress is expecting a big break through with Raaz 3, which should be a movie after a long break with the Bhatt's camp. 

Bipasha in a recent interview to ibnlive said "No, I don’t. I’m a goofy girl in real life. People think that I must be sultry but when they meet me, that myth is ruthlessly shattered. Speaking of films, even if I play a battered housewife, people will say she is a sexy housewife and I’ll be like, from which angle?" when the site asked her how she felt about the sexy siren image that she has personified.

Ofcourse there are downsides of this, every part of the personal activities by the actress gets noticed and she being single now, is linked up with every actor that she works with or meets! "As long as I’m linked to cute guys who are single, I’m totally fine with it. But I don’t want to be linked to attached guys. I won’t like that. You see, I’m a Bengali and there is a little bit of Durga in me and nobody wants to see her (laughs)." says Bipasha and also she quizes the audience by saying she doesn't really know if she is single! "To be frank, I really don’t know. All I can say now is that I’m not a nun and am busy living the life of an 18-year-old girl (winks)."

Whats her take on the USP that the movie is linked with her own life?

"She’s(the character) a very ambitious person who wants to be successful and is not at all afraid of her inner desires. She’ll get what she wants. I wish I had that sort of drive in me but I don’t. I’m not a go-getter, so I mostly take it easy." says Bipasha.

The story of the film revolves around Maithli (Bipasha Basu), an actress at the height of her success. She gets all the best roles and wins all the awards she's nominated for. In addition, she also has a passionate affair with a handsome director named Aditya (Emraan Hashmi). This ends when a younger actress, Sanjana (Esha Gupta) makes her film debut.

Suddenly, Maithli seems forgotten and everybody only wants to work with Sanjana. Soon enough, Aditya also leaves Maithli for Sanjana, and Maithli sees her career fading away and she slowly becomes crazy. She begins to turn to black magic and makes it her goal in life to destroy Sanjana and get back the man she loves, Aditya.

Maithli uses blackmagic to reign back as the queen of movies, ask Bipasha if she is aware of any real life incidents as such? "I don’t know anyone personally but who knows for sure? Our industry is very god-fearing, so the element of superstition is already there. Now if their God has failed them, they might seek a different course and who can stop them from trying?"

The movie releases on 7 September 2012 and will see Jacqueline Fernandez and Niharika Bhatnagar in cameo appearances.

Bipasha Basu is insecure - Vikram Bhatt

As Raaz 3 promos continue, the producers are continuing to emphasize the fact that the movie is closely related to every actor in the industry and how in some instances insecurity leads to the drastic measures that each of them takes. The story talks about how an old reigning actress comes to a fall and standstill in career when a young actress (played by Esha Gupta) comes into the industry. The story also takes a horror side by adding in the black magic that Bipasha's role takes in to demolish the life of Esha Gupta.

Earlier Mahesh Bhatt had mentioned that the story is infact a true one considering how the life of Bipasha, Vikram Bhatt and the script writer Shagufta Rafique who has been experiencing how the blackmagic does affect the life of people. (news here) Recently Vikram Bhatt also confirmed that the part was true.

"The need for Bollywood stories is enormous, people are enchanted with it. There is a reality of the industry that we know. We have given the film a horror idiom by including black magic. The story is very much true," Bhatt said in an interview.

He was addressing the question that there has been lot of movies like 'The Dirty Picture' which did talk about how the life of a star is made and broken through a short span of time. 

"It also coincides with Bipasha Basu`s life where she is feeling the breath of extinction as the younger girls have come in who may elbow her out. Today Bipasaha is not as safe as she was 10 years ago when she came into the industry," he said.

We wonder what Bipasha thought about this comment!

The movie is releasing on September 7 and will star Emraan Hashmi as the male lead. The movie is in 3D and will have all the ingredients which we can expect from the Bhatt's.

The tag line of ‘Raaz 3' states ‘When desire becomes evil’ which Bhatt films holds true in the film industry.

Bipasha Basu's Eyes does the magic in Raaz 3

The darling of horror movies is known for her streamline figure and charming face but in Raaz 3 she is not just focusing on her figure, but this will have her eyes being highlighted the more. The horror movie which is in 3D is said to be doing more justice to the beautiful black eyes of Bipasha more than any other movie in her career.

The idea is being borrowed from the famous singer Avril Lavagne, whereby the actresses eyes will have more highlights and leave her facial make up to the minimal. This will be a one time experimentation for the movie and as we are all aware, her eyes has the magic enough to keep the audience glued.

A source says "Several experiments were done before Vikram settled on the curly look and heavily made-up face. However, he later felt that Biapsha’s look in the original Raaz where she sported straight hair was a hit and decided to go with that. Bips on her part felt that the heavy make-up will look more prominent in 3D and decided to just highlight her eyes."

Vikram Bhatt who is currently trying to get a excellence in horror flick (has failed more though!) is very particular about how his heroine should look in the movie. Bipasha confirms the changes and says “In 3D less looks more! So my foundation was kept very minimal and luminous. Shanaya (her character) is a diva, so her eye make up was smoky liner making her character look more powerful. Initally I was suposed to wear curly tight tonged hair but Vikram changed his mind last minute and wanted it straight like Raaz with middle parting. To add that slick glamorous appeal we coloured it mahagony red.”

Bipasha who had done the first movie in Raaz series says that she had left out Raaz 2 on purpose as she wanted a character which went on through her and gave her enough opportunity to perform "I had told Bhatt sahab to give me a film in which I would have to get into the character totally and when he narrated Raaz 3 I loved it but I was very scared thinking how I would project the character but with everybody’s help I managed to portray the character on screen," says Bipasha.

Bipasha who will be moving on to the sets of 'Aatma' yet another horror flick (news here) and a source says that she has a special affiliation for the dark characters that she plays. “Bips likes the kind of dark roles Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts play in their films, which is why she decided to shoot for Aatma post Raaz 3,” adds in the source.

Raaz 3 : Firt Look Launch - Touches Fear of Every Actor

Raaz 3 is the upcoming horror flick from the Bhatt's where they have casted their best of actors in - Emraan Hashmi, Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta. The horror flick is a sequel to the Raaz franchisee. The Bhatt's had set the ceremony at midnight to create the same ambiance as the movie theme. The lead stars Bipasha and Emraan made an entry onstage amidst a small skit aimed at giving a glimpse of their characters in the film. Also present were director Vikram Bhatt and Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt.

The movie talks about two actresses and their fight for reaching the top and how black magic acts in bringing down the fame of one actor and boosts the other. It also mentions the story of a director who is in midst of the two actresses. The trailers are already out and is trending at the moment (trailer here). 

“Every artist is haunted by the fear which follows him. When he reaches stardom, he gets scared of losing it all. He wants to always be at that height. We are all prisoners of fame. Raaz 3 dares to touch this fear which entertainers live with,” said Bhatt giving an insight into the movie. Mahesh Bhatt had already stated in an article before how Bipasha’s character had similarities to her life and how she had broken down during the shooting of one scene. “Very few times do the actors cross the line between real and reel and when that happens you see such a breakdown.”

Bipasha also agreed to the facts and says "We all go through struggle but we choose not to show it. But it is important to address it at times and connect. This is why I agreed to do this character,” adding, “Initially on the sets of the film, I was lost because the scenes were so intense. I did not know how to reach the character. I haven’t allowed myself to feel this way ever. But I had to let it go and finally I did.” Bipasha is coming back to the Bhatt camp after a decade, the banner had launched her in 2003 with the movie Jism. 

Emraan Hashmi who is having a dream run at the box office is extremely happy to be part of the project and says "I want all my films to do well. This film should have a bigger opening than ‘Jannat 2′ also,” he said. He was with his own charm at the ceremony.

The earlier movie of Raaz franchisee had brought in quite a good count of criticism. The movie had starred Adhyayan Suman, son of Shekhar Suman - a famous host and an actor. The movie was marked as a hit but Adhyayan was never given the credit for it and following this event, Shekhar Suman had commented that it was a wrong decision on his part to launch his son with the Bhatt's. When this question was put up on the occasion, Mukesh Bhatt says "Only a spastic like Shekhar Suman can say something like that. His son has only one successful film which is ‘Raaz 2 and if his father wants to take even that away from his son then we cannot do anything about it."

Mahesh Bhatt on the other hand was tad mild on the approach and reminded media to avoid such questions on this platform! "I don’t think we should use this platform to hurl abuses at each other. We should not create conflicts. He is my colleague, I have respect for him. If he chooses to disrespect me that is his privilege, but as an elder, I will not allow anyone to disrespect Shekhar or Adhyayan. They are a part of this journey and if they have bitterness with us, we will sort it out."

Raaz 3 is set to release on September 7.

Raaz 3 - The Three Real Stories - Amisha Patel connection

The first thought on reading this article would be its OK if Raaz 3 has three real stories portrayed but why would we speak of a actress who is not involved or connected to the movie (or even Bollywood lol). But there is a revelation by the producer himself on how the movie Raaz 3 is connected with the makers.

Mahesh Bhatt in an recent interview had disclosed that the movie Raaz 3 is closely related to the actress, writer and the director of the movie! Yes, it is related to Vikram Bhatt - whose girl friend used to manipulate him and ask him to make movies that would boost her career, next the writer Shagufta Rafique, who has experienced black magic and has also seen how people use it more to boost their career and finally the actress Bipasha Basu, who had to go through a similar career phase as the actress in the movie Raaz 3. This is how the story relates to the makers.

Mahesh Bhatt recently told IANS, "Raaz 3 is a cocktail of three true stories. One is about Shagufta, who has observed how people indulge in black magic to enhance their career. I know it sounds bizarre, but that's the truth. Bipasha was in a stage in her real life where she was heartbroken and her career was declining to ground zero. With the landscape filled with new heroines, she had a terrible phase."

Mahesh Bhatt further added that Vikram Bhatt was also in a similar situation when one of his girlfriends broke his heart. "She (Vikram Bhatt's girlfriend) used to manipulate him to enhance her career," Bhatt said.

Now most of you should have guessed it - yes, it was Amisha Patel who was the girl friend of Vikram Bhatt for a long time and she had left him recently for a UK based businessman Kanav Puri. Its a tough world but truth does come out sometimes. We will have to see Raaz 3 to check on how that works out on screen though!

The movie Raaz 3 would be pivotal again for the career of Bipasha Basu, who plays the heroine practicing black magic. The movie is critical in real life as well for Bipasha as her earlier outings with 'Singularity', 'Jodi Breakers' and 'Players' had nose dived on box-office, this is when she came back to the Bhatt camp which launched her a decade earlier. 

She is looking stunning through the posters and trailers and we hope the movie does well - and this prayer is specially for Bips!

Raaz3 Trailer Out - Bipasha Scared of herself!

Raaz 3 the horror movie in 3D will be out by September 7 2012 and the promos are out now. The promo looks promising and surely gives in a kick to everyone, the typical ghost following you kind of story is now modified to a black magic acts between two celebrities and in modern era. Both Esha Gupta and Bipasha looks stunning in the promos and there are few intense moments which might look more beautiful in 3D.

The story line as we can find from the promos is that of two leading superstar actresses who  is in love with a director (played by Emraan) and how Bipasha uses black magic to reach greater heights and destroy the career of Esha Gupta's character. As tweeted there are scenes of lust, love and horror and added jealousy. Bipasha gets so jealous of Esha's success that she resorts to black magic to get rid of her. Emraan, who loves Esha, can do anything to save her. 

The film is a sequel to Raaz - The Mystery Continues, and features Emraan reprising his role from the original. Bipasha and Esha are the new additions to the cast. Both the leading ladies will be seen in double roles.

"When they narrated this film ('Raaz 3') to me, I loved it but I was really scared about doing it, about projecting it in the best possible manner. But I think I have pretty much done it honestly," says Bipasha to an interview to tabloid. 

"In 'Raaz 3', I laugh in a certain way, you must have noticed in the promo. Now when I watch a comedy film, I don't even laugh aloud because I am so scared of my own laughter," the 33-year-old said here at the launch of the first look of "Raaz 3". 

She shares that she was literally scared when the story was narrated to her, "I am a big sissy, I don't look like one but I am. When I was narrated the script of the first 'Raaz', the chair I was sitting on flipped back and I fell down, I was so scared. Even while shooting for 'Raaz' I was the most scared," she added. 

She also took the opportunity to express her thanks to the team for casting her back after 10 years, the first movie in the series, Raaz was the second film that Bipasha was offered when she started her career in Bollywood, "My experience has been great in this film because I have come back. It's the team of my second film. It's very dear to me. It's after 10 years that we all have got together," said Bipasha. 

"I just said to Mukeshjee (Mukesh Bhatt) and Bhatt saab (Mahesh Bhaat) that give me a film where I really want to sink my teeth into my character. 

So we will wait through another month to see how tough it goes with the 3D actions in!

Raaz 3 Posters out - Bipasha Sizzles

Raaz 3 will be another film in the horror story line for Bipasha Basu. The affiliation and success rate of horror movies with Bipasha Basu makes her the most promising heroine in that roles. Added with her sizzling avtar, the movie looks to be much hotter than what was initially planned. The latest posters show Bipasha in hands of devil(s) - only if that devil has five hands :)

As usual the poster is sizzling no doubt about how good Bipasha looks even when she is in minimal. The posters does show Emraan Hashmi carefully watching over her shoulders as well!

Bipasha, 10 years ago had made the audience go gunge-ho with her sexy avtar and talents through the horror shots. It is why the Bhatts decided to go again with the franchisee and bring Bipasha in a more hotter avtar backed up by a thrilling storyline. 

An insider reveals, “The Bhatts felt the pose and outfit were too bold and didn’t want Bipasha to do it, thinking she might be uncomfortable. Also, they felt they might have to tone down the concept eventually. So they planned to get a body double and morph Bipasha’s face onto the model’s body later. But when she found out, the actor insisted on doing it herself.” 

Earlier Bipasha had said that she wasn't comfortable in doing a revealing photoshoot for the movie (News here)

Bipasha says, “When I learnt about the concept, I decided to do it. I had no qualms. It’s my movie and I should be shooting for the poster. I understand that it was required to show the film’s theme in the right light. I have always been comfortable in my skin and never been conscious of my body. It was the right decision.”

The movie stars Esha Gupta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Emraan Hashmi along with Bipasha. The movie is directed by Vikram Bhatt, will be in 3D. Raaz 3 will hit screens by September 7.

John Abraham miffed: I didn't cast her out

One year long separation, as in Bipasha's horror movies, the ghost still haunts her and she is still said be suffering from the doings of John Abraham, atleast that is what Bipasha thinks. The latest story comes from the sets of 'Shootout at Wadala' where the rumor is that John had asked Sanjay Gupta to remove Bipasha from the movie. But on the other hand, both producer and the director has come forward to express that they had never planned of grabbing in Bipasha for the role. The truth still hides somewhere!

Bipasha and John Abraham was one couple which had envied many, for the fact that both were hot rolemodels or rather sex symbols for many. The duo had been quite good to each other and professional as well. But somethings did not work out good and it was Bipasha Basu who announced that they were no longer together. It has been an year since this happened and although John had not spoken much about this issue and had also waited for her to return back, it never happened and it seems that both have chosen their ways. But this new rumor pulls out the older stories together.

However, citing the thorough professionalism of John Abraham a close friend to John says “It has been nearly a year since John and Bipasha have broken up. However in spite of such a long time, John has maintained silence over the whole issue. In fact, in a recent interview to a daily, Bipasha hinted that John cheated on her. However, he did not even comment on it. But the recent news that he is instrumental in Bips being thrown out of Gupta’s film has upset him.”

“He has now moved on in life and everyone is aware that he is already dating Priya (Runchal) and has plans to settle down with her. He does not want any bitterness in his life and he wishes well for Bipasha who had been an integral part of his life for years. No one knows why they broke off and John has no intention of discussion that on a public platform. However, these constant attacks by Bipasha are now taking a toll on him. ” adds the close friend. 

Sanjay Gupta too denies the allegation and says, “Neither Ekta Kapoor nor I have ever claimed that Bipasha was a part of the film. So where is the question of her being out of the film? The last thing is to accuse John of doing something unprofessional. He does not in any way interfere in the casting process of the film. His silence should not be taken for granted. People are even saying that Naseerbhai and Nana Patekar are in the film but all I want to say is that nothing is finalised as of now.” 

Although in midst of this the crew says that they are aware of the tiff between the ex-couple's!

Bipasha and Nawazuddin for Aatma

Stars are shining extremely bright for Nawazuddin Sidiqui who made a strong impact in 'Kahaani' and 'Gangs of Wasseypur'. The actor's talent is well recognized through a series of characters which started from Peepli Live. 

Although he had started working in movies from Sarfarosh (1999), the roles he had portrayed were of few scenes. Peepli Live along with 'Paan Singh Tomar' helped the artist gain much more acceptance and critical acclaim which has continued through Kahaani and Gangs of Wasseypur and GOW 2.

Suparn Verma, who called him a brilliant actor, said: "When we met, we had a very interesting and emotional meeting where he just fell in love with the film. He was on board. Bipasha Basu is also very excited to have him as part of the film." Suparn is the director who is starting with the horror project, Aatma, which stars Bipasha Basu. 

“Nawazuddin did an amazing job in Kahaani. Even in Gangs of Wasseypur 2, he is playing an important character. That's when we decided to sign him for this film.” added the director. "It will be a very interesting role that Nawaz will be playing," Verma told IANS. 

Verma, who has directed movies like Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina and Acid Factory, refused to share the details of Nawaz's character, saying it was a secret. He just said that the actor will go into a hitherto untapped "emotional zone". 

The director will be conducting solo workshops with Nawazuddin Siddiqui to prepare him for the part. 

"We will be spending a lot of time with each other. We will also be doing workshops, just me and him (Nawaz) locked up. It a very intense character. It involves shedding a lot of inhibitions, emotions and exposing yourself completely. It is more about tapping into the character's emotions," he said.

Apparently the film is set in a high-rise apartment and is expected go on floors by July 18. “We will shoot non-stop for 50 days in Mumbai and Panchgani. The cameraman, who's from Denmark, will be shooting the film using a different technique.”

The movie will be another horror flick for Bipasha Basu who has had the most success record with doing horror movies and this will be a new experience for her as the movie is said to be revolving in and around the 4000 sq ft flat. 

The movie will be made in 2D as opposed to the rumors of it being a 3D flick. The pairing is unusual as it will be the first time Nawaz will play a lead role and this time with the hottest actress in B-town.

Emraan Nervous - Bipasha Calms him

Makes you wonder why? We know that you can expect anything now as you might have already read Sunny Leone's news that she is shy of love making scenes (read the news here), now it is Emraan Hashmi who reveals his dilemma, he confesses that he still is nervous with love making and kissing scenes! (are you serious?ha!)

The very man who redefined the kissing sequences in bollywood and who took the title of serial kisser is the one who is confessing the new story, he was speaking to zoom recently when he confessed. "I still get pretty nervous while shooting for kissing scenes or getting 'intimate' with a co-star. It's not like I'm a pro, you know? In fact, while shooting for the kissing scene in 'Raaz 3', Bipasha had to calm my nerves and tell me that it was okay...!" says Emraan.

We know it would be true and luckily if Bipasha says its ok, it will be so and we know it ! 

Bipasha and Emraan are comming back in Raaz 3, which is going to be yet another sizzling ride from the Bhatt's, but this will be post Jism 2. The movie is yet again, sensuous and said to be bolder than the prequels. So we will watch out the professionals do it the right way.

Emraan In Brighter Shades

The role of a journalist wasn't so good with Shanghai, as he had to play the journalist with a grey shade, and now it is declared that he would have a brighter shade in his upcoming movie 'Rush' which he is committed of doing after 'Raaz 3'. The movie which is to release by October 26 this year, will see actor Emraan Hashmi play a morally correct investigative journalist with a top news channel, who plunges into a vortex of violence in a deadly game of cat and mouse engineered by those he has trusted. 

Talking about Hashmi’s character in Rush, Priyanka Thakran, the film’s creative director, says, “Sam (played by Emraan) is morally strong, with no grey shades, always ready to take a stand. He’s someone people look up to.” As for the music of Rush, it has been composed by Pritam, and has a combination of romantic and club tracks.

The movie is being directed by Shamin Desai. Along with Hashmi, it also stars actors Neha Dhupia and Sagarika Ghatge, with actor Aditya Pancholi returning to the big screen after a hiatus in a negative role.

Katrina - The Sexiest again!

Its not a new crown to the queen, but she just marked her presence with the latest award of being the most sexiest actress of 2012. The poll conducted by a leading Men's magazine had asked their subscribers to vote for the sexiest heroine and  as it was in the previous years, Katrina was elected  again as the sexiest heroine. It would be surprise to many that she did put behind, the likes of international celebrities, Megan Fox and Scarlett Johansson. She also moved ahead of her Indian counter parts like Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone. 

She also crossed over Hollywood actresses including Angelina Jolie, Blake Lively to come up with the world's sexiest heroine of 2012. Actors Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are at numbers three and six respectively, Anushka Sharma (at number 4) and Bipasha Basu (at number 16) too feature on the list.

Katrina, who is already riding high with the kind of movies and endorsements she does, she is more than happy to learn the news "The sexiest thing is not trying. Being sexy isn’t about clothes… For me to wear a cotton sari, sans any make-up and still be desirable is sexy,” says Katrina. As for being voted the sexiest woman yet again, the actor adds, “I’m really excited with the news since it means that people are not voting for me only based on my physical looks, they are looking at me in entirety.” The title for the actor comes close on the heels of being voted the most favourite actress of the children in a nationwide survey.

Katrina, currently has three movies in line with the Khan trio, of which Ek Tha Tiger is due for release while she continues to work on Yash Chopra's SRK movie and Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3. While ETT will feature her opposite, her ex-flame Salman Khan.

We wish her success and also hope that she does choose in the right characters further.

Bipasha's Horror affiliation continues!

More than any other actress in the industry, it has been Bipasha Basu who has done most of the successful horror movies to the date. Bipasha who is currently finishing her movie Raaz 3 has confirmed her next horror movie project. The movie is titled 'Aatma' and revolves around a spirit who is haunting the character played by Bipasha.

Bipasha had announced the project recently and interestingly, the media asked if she did have a special place for horror movies or is she that much brave to take these projects up I wish I was braver about such spooky things, but I'm not. In fact, many of my friends are surprised I take up roles in such scary movies. More so, because when I watch any horror film with them, I cover my eyes with my hands and see the proceedings on screen through the gaps between my fingers." says Bipasha with her classic smile.

The movie will be directed by Suparn Varma and the producers are Kumar Mangat and Abhishek Pathak. The suspense of the movie is said to be really out of the box, "That's from the pre-climax onwards, because the major suspense which brings a twist in the tale. When you see the film, you'll be spooked out just as I was when I heard the script." The interesting part about the script is that the full script is available only to Bipasha, the director and the producers, the rest of the crew will find their copies missing atleast 10 pages, which is referred to from 'pre-climax'.

Ask her if she believes in super-naturals? "On one hand, it is said to be not a natural phenomenon. And on the other, it's called super natural, as if it's a superior kind of natural phenomenon. If it is not natural, why call it super-natural," she debates.

The horror movies that Bips has performed has been too convincing and it is now stamped with the count of horror movies that she has been doing and we are informed that the director wants the element of reality in this movie and for the same reason he has chosen the 21st floor of an apartment in Andheri instead of the shooting sets.

"The story takes place in an apartment in a building, and is also a character. When we create a house in a studio, it doesn't look real. Also the way we'll shoot the film, with cameras going in and out of the windows, won't give the effect in a studio house," sums up the filmmaker, Suparn.

John's escapade from Bips?

This is a seemingly interesting news, ever since the breakup Bipasha and John has been avoiding the interactions with each other and this was again shown up at the sets of Race 2 where Bipasha was to do a cameo. Interestingly the whole crew including Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone was present at the shoots but was missing John. He is said to be out of the country with his other commitments. But the crew still suspects this to be a intentional escapade!

However Bipasha clarifies, “John and I aren’t meant to face each other in Race 2. I had a scene with Saif, and that’s exactly what we shot for. I don’t think John was required in Cyprus at that time. I have two scenes in the film, out of which I’ve shot one. That’s about it,” 

However there was rumor that the two will be having more interactions through the sets of Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2. 

Another remake with Bipasha

Bipasha is said to have signed up for the remake of 1982 flick 'Shaukeen', which is being remade by Rohit Roy. And Bipasha is said to play the role of the young girl who is wooed by 3 old men.

“Yes, I have given them the nod for screenplay and the script. But everything has to fall into place contractually. I don’t confirm anything until I sign on the dotted line,” says Bipasha, adding, “When the idea was conceived, Ronit gave me a narration. Now, we have the final draft ready. It’s turned out to be really fun and contemporary.” 

The original Shaukeen revolves around three old men (played by actors Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and AK Hangal) who set out to impress a young girl (Agnihotri). Mithun Chakraborty plays her boyfriend in the film.

Ask Bipasha about who herco-stars will be and she says, “They (filmmakers) have a very good wish list. So, I’m not going to tell you anything right now. The casting is yet to be finalised.”

Poonam Pandey hits bed this time!

If there was a ever an ambassador needed, for a school that teaches how to make controversial tweets and attract fans, it should be assigned to Poonam Pandey (Sorry Rakhi Sawant, you have been dull already!). Be it her morphed pic, which had been a sensation or be it the false promises that she had been making. But either way, it seems that her fans still expect her to do more, and she keeps them on the edge. And when she decided to make it to Bollywood, after rejecting countless offers(as she says!), she is not going to do it anything smaller than what her fellow competitors are already doing!

Love making sequences have been the trend in movies and it still is going to be let loose when the movies like Raaz 3, Jism 2 and the likes are to hit screens. Both these movies have been expected to have the most raunchy of scenes. One by the hottest queen of Bollywood, Bipasha Basu, who had already lit the screens on fire with her performances, and the other from the adult superstar, Sunny Leone. When you have such tough competitions, Poonam Pandey had to do one of her love making sequences.

She earlier tweeted after her shoot, "Sex was never as neat as the movies made it. Real sex was messy. Good sex was messier. But in my debut film its gonna be the best."

Seriously? Don't bring in a body double on this pls (sic!) 

Poonam is supposed to make her debut with Jism director Amit Saxena forthcoming 'coming of age' film. 

Also Amit, would agree that there is no better PR to the movie when you have a hot model who already has more followers than the best of Adult movie star. Pandey has 241, 959 followers on the social media site compared to Leone’s 230, 109 followers according to a media reports.

It's a rare friendship - Bipasha on Josh

Bipasha's first hollywood flick is already making into news, as her relationship and friendship with the British co-star has started hitting news. The movie 'Singularity' which was started in 2010 and had a long vacation of 1 year before the crew united back is expected to be very much a romantic flick. The shoot has been completed and Bipasha will be leaving London this week. But it seems that the memories of his Hollywood co-star Josh Hartnett will still stay.

Bipasha says about her friendship "We live in different continents, and that's a big hurdle when it comes to maintaining friendships. We are extremely fond of each other though, so we instantly reconnected when we met again in London. Very rarely do you meet people who you can trust instantly. Josh is that person to me. It's a rare friendship and I know it's forever. We hung out as much as we could in London, and it was fun. Both of us love to eat, so we'd go out often and party hard!" she laughs.

She carefully evades the question of a new relationship between the two. It was earlier reported that the duo was bonding very much with the days they were together and the bonds did not limit to on-screen but offscreen too. A source tells us, "Bipasha and Josh found that their chemistry — both on and off the screen — had remained the same. Meeting again after a year (the film began shooting in late 2010) hadn't dulled it. So when they met again in London, they spent a lot of time going out for dinner and coffee at their favourite haunts, once shooting would be over. It was as if they were catching up on lost time. But Bipasha knows that long distance relationships rarely work out, and she's not prepared to go to the States to be with Josh and give this romance a shot; it's a no-win situation."

Bipasha clarifies on this and says "We started out as accommodating co-stars, but with time Josh and I have become close. We discovered a strong connection the first time around and would hang out often. I had just come out of a long-term relationship, so it was too soon for me to think about dating again. So Josh was a wonderful friend. We have great chemistry in the film. In fact, we sizzle on-screen!"

Bipasha also let out the movie plot when she concluded her session with the media "Working with Josh was memorable not only because is he a fine actor but now also a dear friend. The film is looking good and I'm happy that my first English film is with a talented director like Roland Joffe. I play an extremely strong role of a warrior called Tulaja Naik, who is a bodyguard for the Maratha queen. The only time Tulaja falters is when she falls in love with Josh's character, a British army officer. I've never done a period film before, so it was very challenging for me, but both Rolan and Josh really helped me perfect my character and I will never forget that."

Bipasha refuses bold photoshoot!

Bipasha has been in news in the past but not for her movies, but this time its movie controversy for Bipasha (Improvement, huh?). As everyone anxiously awaits the return of the beauty bomb in her most sexy of avatars in Raaz 3, it seems she thinks of it otherwise. Although the sources mention that Bips had no issues performing bold scenes in the movie and she has done it beautifully as always, but when it came to promotional photoshoots, she has put in a bar and has refused to do any bold photoshoots!

Now why is that? A source who is close to the production house confirms that she has had issues doing the photoshoot and the insider adds “Yes, Bipasha backed out saying that she is ‘too legendary’ to do suchthings anymore. So, now the producers are left with no option but to look for an alternative.” If our memory line holds it tight, it is the very same actress who had changed the screens into molten lava when Jism was released, she had done the most controversial scenes in the movie with John Abraham, which at the time (2002).

Raaz 3 without bold scenes is something which the producers can't imagine and it seems that Vikram Bhatt is now in search of a body double to do the job. A source reveals, “Director Vikram Bhatt, as well as the producers of the film, had planned a bold promotional campaign in the film. The campaign required Bipasha to shoot for some extremely bold pictures. But when Bips heard of it, she apparently put her foot down and refused to be a part of it. So, now the producers are left with no choice, but to look out for a body double to shoot for the campaign. It’s adding tothe pressure of meeting the deadline as well. ”

Vikram Bhatt has refused to comment on this as he says that there has been no plans yet for how the promotional campaign should go. Also he adds that there has been no controversial issues between him and the actress. But we will have the truth come through in few more weeks as the movie is set to be released soon.

Bipasha has been in news ever since her break up with John for all reasons but movies, and this controversy just fills in the gap. She has been having issues with her mentors, the Bhatt's and there was also a news of fallout between them. She also had refused to work with Emraan Hashmi on a movie. Apart from this there were a few count of men who were accused of having an affair with Bipasha. 

Hope Raaz 3 changes the perception of her as a controversy queen! although we are forced to believe that she likes it!

Bipasha Basu to get bitchy

Buzz is that actress Bipasha Basu will be seen playing the role of Bhanwari Devi in her upcoming movie titled "BITCH".

The movie is based on the life of a Rajasthani woman named Bhanwari Devi. Bhanwari Devi is a low-caste potter from Bhateri, a small village in Rajasthan located 55 km from the state capital Jaipur. Most of the villagers belonged to the conservative Gurjar community, which is higher in the caste hierarchy than the Kumhar caste, to which Bhanwari belongs. 

Bhanwari Devi was a nurse who allegedly blackmailed Rajasthan politicians over their sexual misconduct. She was gang raped by high caste villagers in the year 1992 and the subsequent court case attracted widespread media attention nationally and internationally.

The film will show the life and struggle of Bhanwari and her fight for justice.

The role of Bhanwari Devi has already been depicted onscreen by director Jag Mundhra . The movie directed by him was named Bawandar (English Title: The Sand Storm) and was released in the year 2000 and the role of Bhanwari was played by Nandita Das. The movie was produced by Gaurang Joshi and Jag Mundhra.

Seems as if Bipasha Basu is all set to play the role of a tough village girl.

Another Race between Saif, Bipasha, Kareena ? - Race 2

People might think it is sick for how insecure the couple in bollywood are, but it might just be a rumor as well. We will never know the inner truths but the current gossip that is spreading around is about Kareena being not so cool about Saif and Bipasha coming together. The event is happening at the sets of Race 2, Saif's upcoming action thriller. It is said that while Saif and Kareena is busy in their own schedules, the closeness of Bipasha with Saif is the one making news. A source at the sets of Race 2 says "Saif has been shooting in Greece and Bipasha is also there on a work/holiday trip. She has taken some of her friends along and is currently chilling with them before the shoot starts. After Greece, the cast and crew will fly to Istanbul for the next leg of the 40-day schedule, which includes Bips." 

This news wasn't just confined to Greece and soon when Mumbai learnt about this, it made Kareena uneasy as per the sources at the sets. Insiders say that both Kareena and Bipasha doesn't share a good equation with each other and in light of earlier link up stories between Saif and Bips, Kareena is feeling insecure in leaving him off to Bipasha. She is currently awaiting her schedule to complete by the end of this month and has plans to fly over to Greece to join her man.

It is tough luck for Kareena though as she is running a close schedule for 'Heroine' and also has few endorsements in the list to be completed. Insider adds "It's shaky ground for Kareena as she doesn't want to leave Saif alone with Bipasha. She had also flown down to London to meet Saif when there were rumours of a link-up between him and Deepika Padukone during the shooting of Cocktail." 

Although when media did put up the question to herself, she just rubbished the rumors "Why should I bother who is there with Saif? I am doing double shifts shooting for Heroine and some ad films. I am not going to Greece till the Heroine schedule is over, and that will be in the first week of June." 

So she doesn't denies her trip and she is waiting for the schedule to complete! - so the rumor might just be true as well!!!

We just have one line to ask to Kareena "WHY THIS KOLAVERI DI??" Sigh!
