Salman Beats SRK : Dabaang 2 gets a lumsum!!

When it comes to satellite rights, it has been always a game of superstars. Shah Rukh Khan has always ruled the game as his movies will be sold with the highest satellite prices. SRK was sky high when his movie Don2's satellite rights went on sale for Rs 32 crore. This was one of the highest paid prices at the time period and it seems that the record did not stay long.

The recent news is that among the tempting offers that were placed before Arbaaz Khan over the Salman Khan starrer 'Dabaang 2', he has accepted the Rs. 42 Crore offer and has already beat the best prices that were laid out by SRK or Karan Johar. Earlier it was Hrithik Roshan starer 'Agneepath' which went to Star Satellite communications for a whooping price of Rs. 37 Crore.

Sources are still not confirming that Arbaaz has accepted the current offer but unofficially this is the satellite price that is marked for Dabaang 2.

Now the latest bench mark set by Salman Khan will be the target for SRK to break when his next movie is ready. But for now, as it was the trend last year, Salman Khan is coming back with his Dabaang style and is all set to rule the cinemas when the movie is ready. Arbaaz is planning to start filming the movie by mid of this year and the movie should be in cinemas by the end of 2012.

Its an amazing trend that a movie which is not yet started is grabbing a great sum in rights and it should already be declared a hit before even it reaches the cinemas!!

Lage raho Sallu Miah!!

Seems our days are truly numbered now!! - Shahrukh

Shah Rukh Khan who has his run with the movie 'Don 2' seems to be much happy about the fact that his movie will shortly be hitting the Rs. 100 crore mark. This is not the first for the actor, as he had proved this with Ra.One, which had also did a business of Rs. 100 Crore.

He still has the nostalgia of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge and thinks that during those days crores did not matter instead it was the number of days that the film show ran. He says on twitter "Was discussing with my DDLJ ('Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge') friend how we wished for a 100 days for our film... rather than Rs.100 crore. Seems our days are truly numbered now!!"

SRK who is currently on vacation with his family in Dubai seems to be much relaxed and he add to his post that "The excitement of working on a new script covers up the stress of daily chores. I think I was made to entertain... not be entertained,"

Don is leaner, meaner and sexier - Shahrukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan who is awaiting his next big release in another couple of days is happy to have done Don, he finds the negative character much more appealing than his romantic roles. We all agree that it is his romantic roles which triggers the wave in hearts of millions and when he bows down, no women will say no to his proposal.

Shah Rukh Khan said that he always wanted to do negative roles as in Baazigar and this time it will be Don, where he expects Don to be much more meaner than what he did in the first episode! "I know I am known for my portrayals of Raj and Rahuls but I am not a romantic at all. I am shy with women. I've always wanted to play the 'bad guy' roles. I did play them in Baazigar and Darr. I want to do it more and Don has come along at the right time. I am not at all like Don in real life but its fun to play characters that are not at all like you. As an actor that thrills you" said Shah Rukh while promoting Don 2.

He added "Don is everything every guy wants to be but never gets to be. He has fast cars, faster women. The second installment of Don is leaner, meaner and sexier."

The highly awaited Don 2 releases this Friday worldwide. Dec 23rd 2011.

SRK Toys Hit the market

As King Khan formulates his new strategies for promotions, he has come up with another great idea, to release Don 2 merchandise which mainly includes SRK toys. Yes, now you can have SRK in your hand and make him play according to your wish!

While movie-merchandise is a popular idea overseas, SRK seems to be the first Bollywood hero to be turned into a toy.

The toy is a miniature of Shah Rukh Khan as a bobble-head in his Don avatar. The styling, hairdo and attitude complements the film and is the perfect way to take your Shah Rukh Khan home.

We are still searching where we can get a personal piece! Do tweet if you know about it!

SRK All praises for the Villain - DON 2

It seems to have become a trend for Shah Rukh Khan movies, they always have a stronger villain role. Be it Arjun Rampal's presence in Ra.One or Nawab Shah, who is the new addition to the league, playing the negative role in Don 2 - The Chase Begins. For now SRK seems to be all praises for Nawab Shah and he says that Nawab has all blended in, be it the looks or his actions sequences.

Shah Rukh Khan says, "Nawab Shah is not your quintessential villain but a handsome guy who can win hearts even as he breaks them. He has gorgeous drop-dead good looks unheard of in Bollywood. I am happy that he fits the role for Don 2 to the T! After Arjun Rampal in 'Ra.One', Nawab Shah will be another villain whose work will be appreciated and loved by one and all."

A confident but humble Nawab Shah says, " I am happy that Shah Rukh is saying nice things about me. It means a lot to me because I have really struggled and come a long way. For me Don 2 is the most important release of my professional life and I have slogged a lot to make it work. It's also important from the personal point of view as it signifies my comeback post my recovery from the accident."

Nawab Shah had recently survived a near fatal accident at Jim Corbert National Park, Uttaranchal and is reportedly recovering fast to move to the promotions of Don 2. Nawab Shah says, "Well, Don 2 has become more of an inspiration to me than just a film. I trained and worked on action for 6 months before shooting for Don 2 in Berlin ..for a two months shoot. After my accident, it took me 3 months to recover , now I am training again for the next 5 months for the release of Don 2."

Don2 - A console game in the making!

Don2 - The Chase Begins has already been in the headlines for its unorthodox shooting and tough action, be it the jail sequence or the action sequences. The news now is that Farhan Akhtar is planning to launch a console game based on the movie. He says "I felt that this could be an interesting yet fun way to let people have their personal dose of action and adventure,"

Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani is already talking with Gameshastra the largest game service industry in the country on the project and plans to release it soon. The firm is developing a third-person action adventure console game where a players gets to play Shah Rukh and does actions similar to those done by Don in the movie.

There will also be a social game called "Don - The Social Mobsters Game", which will be launched on the Facebook and is being developed by Mango Games.

The game will be available on Android, iOS, and PSN for PS3 platforms. While the game on Android and iOS will be released along with the movie, the console version of the game will be released in March next year. "This is the first time a game is based on an Indian film that will be launched on four platforms. When I saw the creative of the game, I was very excited because the visuals were as real as the characters in the film. For an iconic character like Don, I think this was the best way to keep the hysteria going amongst his fans," said Ritesh Sidhwani, producer of " Don 2".

Shahrukh Shoots with real goons!

Don2 : The Chase Begins seems to be making great news already as the latest one is about SRK, who did the shoot of the movie with real inmates at Malaysia. As Don gets tougher in the new version, the director Farhan Akhtar and Shahrukh Khan decided to give it a original feel for the jail break sequence.

As seen in the movie trailers, the jail sequence involves fight with inmates and Don finally fleeing from the prison. The scene was shot at Malacca Prison in Malaysia. The new look for SRK in the jail sequence of Don 2  is much appreciated, its quite rough look as well.

Explaining the sequence, a crew member said, "Don has an ace up his sleeves and has already masterminded a prison break."The actor shot with several local Malaysian artists for this sequence which was physically quite taxing. The film was shot in a real prison with real prisoners behind the jail and a complete section of the prison block was made available to Farhan Akhtar and his team for the shoot. In order to avoid any hitches, special crew t-shirts were made to differentiate crew members from the prisoners as it was a high security zone. None of the crew members were allowed to carry their mobile phones and laptops inside.

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and director Farhan Akhtar who is also the director of the flick, DON 2 is slated to break into screens on the 21st December 2011.

This is an original movie - SRK

Sharukh Khan is too upset with the latest allegations against his movie Don 2: The Chase Begins at the last moments. There were reports that the writers for Don (Amitabh Bachchan movie) has filed a copyright infringement case against the Excel entertainment crew. As the legal procedures are progressing, SRK has opted to clarify his stand on the issue and have mentioned it thoroughly that the film is original and has nothing to be claimed as a sequel to the Don produced by Nariman Films.

He spoke to the media and said "My producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and I are wondering where such stories come from. Even when we made the original 2006 version of Don; we had done our due diligence and taken whatever permissions where there to be sought from the script point of view. While my producers are best qualified to give a fitting reply to the whole matter, I as a lead actor can say that as for the sequel, the Amitabh Bachchan Don never had a sequel. So where is the question of us copying anything. Farhan and his team have worked on the script, I know for a fact that we haven't copied from anywhere and this is an original script.''

He also mentioned that media should take up some responsibility to avoid such reports being spread over the genuine script as this movie. "The media must also look into the merits of the entire case before reporting. After all many people have worked hard on the script. I have full respect for the media and I know that 99 per cent of the people do not fall for wrong leads; however even that one percent who tend to get swayed must try and hear out both versions of a story". He added.

He further clarified that "Excel Entertainment has not infringed any copyright leave alone that of Don, starring Amitabh Bachchan by producing Don 2. Further, Excel Entertainment is the bona-fide author and owner of copyright of the Films "Don The Chase Begins Again" (i.e. Don 1), which has been confirmed by Nariman Films in writing. Excel is also the owner of the copyrights of Don 2. In 2005, Nariman Films has given rights to Excel Entertainment, in perpetuity, for making "Don The Chase Begins Again".

SRK concluded that "The fact of Excel Entertainment making Don 2 has been in the public domain since 2009. It seems that it has now become a practice to give notices just before release of a film to extract monies. We at Excel Entertainment have done nothing wrong and shall stick to the correct legal and moral principals and defend what is right."

We will have to wait further to see how this unfolds!

Don 2 hasn't done anything wrong : Ritesh

The new movie from SRK is already running into controversy, 'Don 2' as the producers of the original movie 'Don' which did star Amitabh Bachchan has filed a case for copyright infringement. This is going to be the very first controversy and the whole production crew is actively watching as to where the event leads.

According to reports, Nariman Films, producer of the 1978 Amitabh Bachchan starrer "Don", has sent a legal notice to Excel Entertainment for copyright infringement saying that they had only given the right to remake the movie and no rights to make a sequel.

"About the notice from the original producers of 'Don' be rest assured we have done nothing wrong and shall stick to the correct legal and moral principals," Ritesh Sidhwani, the producer of Don 2, posted on his Twitter account.

"Don - The Chase Begins", a remake of the original, came in the year 2006. Directed by Farhan Akhtar and starring Shah Rukh, the film was a hit.

Now the same team will be seen in part two, which is releasing Dec 23.

Shahrukh sheds tears on his birthday

hahrukh Khan, the King Khan as the world knows him has been a tremendous actor. He has done every genre of movies and he had put his effort to the full for each of his movies which has done wonders to the industry and himself. One true actor who can be proud that he gave his 100% to reach at the top of the ladder and to enjoy the life he has at the moment.

The actor celebrated his birthday here at Mannath, on 2nd November 2011, he was so overwhelmed by the fans and their celebrations that he went out to the floor of manath, his home in mumbai and waved for his fans. He later tweeted: "Was so touched when I reached home from bathing...sooo many people waiting outside the house and sang happy birthday for me. Had tears in my eyes. Going to sleep now...this birthday will celebrate with a well deserved many hours of sleep...thanx for ur wishes. Don't feel older or wiser..". Shahrukh turned 46  this year.

"When I was a kid...I used to tie a towel on my neck... wear my sister's tights and my red swimming trunks on top, eye mask and wanted to fly. I loved comic superheroes and films like 'Teesri Akan', 'Paras Mani'. I always had this desire to do superhero films," Shahrukh had said.

His latest movie did accomplish this desire of his, as Ra.One is most loved by kids and the best sci-fi super hero ever touching the industry. We only wish it did have a better director and a much better script to support the hardwork and money that SRK had put into it.

The upcoming movie Don 2 is directed by Farhan Akhtar, yet another great flick and expected to be a blockbuster!

Please Shave - Gauri Khan!

Gauri Khan Asks King to shave!

Don 2 is everything about rough looks and manly acts and action. The long hair look and the stubble adds to the rough effect of the movie and as everyone agrees, Shahrukh looks great in that. But there are people who hate him to give such a look and his wife Gauri Khan is the number one in the list, who was shocked to see Shahrukh coming back in such a shape.

She has openly admitted that she did not like a bit of this look in Don 2.

The wife of King Khan was surprised to see her husband in such bad shape, that she immediately asked Shahrukh to shave the stubble and cut his hair, she even asked him to do the rest of the movie with a wig on. The shoot of Don 2 happened in Malaysia and since the shoot, Shahrukh Khan has been carrying his long hair and unshaven looks through the sequence.

But the King decided otherwise, he opted to stay in the character until the shoot was complete. According to the co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani, Shahrukh had the option to let go his look but he decided to continue with the character. Director Farhan Akhtar mentions that Shahrukh was convinced with the looks and he wanted to complete the movie with the present look. Rumors continue as it is said that Shah Rukh's son Aryan, had asked if a Don should look like him and the King continued that look to give it the complete feel!

Well its a known fact as to how Shahrukh Khan dedicates himself for a movie and he does it in the style he is known for! Way to Go!

Don Caught - Shahrukh held at airport!

King Khan Pays a fine of 1.5 Lakhs

So its not that tough to catch Don, even though Shah Rukh Khan says in his movie that its not only tough but impossible to catch Don, his movie character name. Jokes apart, the incident happened at Chatrapathi Shivaji International Airport terminal. Actor Shahrukh Khan was caught and interrogated for few hours due to the count of baggage he was carrying.

The actor was allegedly out for a vacation with his family in Holland and London, on his return the customs authorities noted 20 bags in his name. The family of the actor was asked to let go and the team lead by Deputy collector, Sameer Wankhade interrogated the actor and was asked to pay 1.5 lakh rupees as fine for the additional baggage. According to sources, the count of bags was delaying the process and the customs commisioner, P M Govande has confirmed this news. There are also eye witnesses mentioning that he was treated equally as any other passenger and no special privileges were given for being superstar.

As P M Govande mentions, if you bring something you have to pay the duty! Don gets back in news pretty soon.

Don 2 Songs Leaked!

Don 2 Song breaks the firewall of King
The return of the King Khan has also marked the return of hackers, the recent release of the Don 2 promo has attracted a lot of attention and the trailer is rocking the bollywood like never(more).

Immediately there was a break of the song 'Rehmat' Sung by Shreya Ghoshal released all ove the net. IndiaViolet was able to find this link which does allow people to download the only released song of Don 2.

The song is quite soft and too romantic, this just adds to the indication that Don 2 hides more emotion than what was shown in Don. We hope to see the romantic side of Shah Rukh Khan again. There has been a controversy of this song leak out. Although Shahrukh Khan ensures that his firewall is tight enough that no material of the movie goes out, immediately after the release of Ra.one trailer, the song Chammak Chalo was released or leaked over the internet. The same story repeated with Don 2, the film critics suspect if this is a marketing technique by the King.

We are unsure if this is a technique or for real, but this is really gonna increase the anticipation of the movie.

The Return of the King - Shah Rukh

The King brand is back

According to sources, the use of the word King is said to be must for his upcoming movie Don 2. It is Shahrukh Khan back in the news and the sources mention that he wishes to be called the King again. There has been many claims and issues the last time he did mention that but the trailers of Don 2 does crown him back the King. There has been active promos during the shows of ZNMD mentioning the return of the King.

This shouldn't be a big news as he is already crowned as the King of bollywood a long time ago and the King brand has been attached to Shahrukh quite a long time. King Khan, Badshaah of Bollywood are few common phrases for Shahrukh. Other Khans doesn't seem to be as interested in the titles or may be missing the flick but Akshay Kumar did have a King Kumar brand running during the time of Singh is King and the following set.

We truly agree that you are King Khan and we await in anticipation for the release of Don 2.

I had approached Salman 2 times - Farhan Akhtar

Salman Khan wont work with Farhan?

Recent promos of Don 2 has created yet another controversy for Salman Khan. Media had noted that Farhan Akhtar had directed couple of movies with the King Khan, Shahrukh Khan, but has never done one with Salman Khan. When asked by the media as to why the difference was, Farhan mentioned that he had approached Salman Khan two times with a project which got rejected.

Farhan also went ahead and mentioned that there are no personal issues with the rejections, it seems that the stories did not suit Salman Khan the way he expected. The other story that runs along is the rivalry between the parents of both actors. Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan used to be good friends at one age and later had their differences in profession. The reports mention that there was an issue with respect to the fame that Javed Akhtar received for the scripts which did have Salim Khans ink.

Anyways, Farhan has already put an end to such allegations and mentioned that this is thoroughly profession decision on Salman's part and did not wish to comment further.

We will never know the truth as long as it is shut!

Shah Rukh's First!

Shah Rukh Registers the Don2 Tattoo

Shah Rukh Khan is already making a great effort in the movies and he is now also known for the business decisions he takes. The latest has been with the Don 2 Tattoo which he wears on the arms through out the movie. Shah Rukh has applied for copyright under his name for the tattoo and also plans to launch merchandises with the tattoo on it.

This not only will give the movie a unique taste to new business tactics but also tries to portray one of the novel ideas for gaining more revenue for the industry.

As the news goes, this is not only to protect his name but also to keep the franchisee running for the movie!

King style!
