Sonakshi to do hot item number at IIFA

Sonakshi has proved her hottness with Rowdy Rathore and next she has is to light up the stage of IIFA on fire as she will move legs for the hot item number 'Munni Badnaam Hui' come this IIFA. Sonakshi's interviews suggest that she is willing to continue her conventional image but the pressure to remain an A list heroine is also there. Possibly this is the reason that she wants to dance to item numbers to change her image.

It seems that the critics who blamed her for not so good acting would have to keep mum through the ceremony. The earlier talks were that it was more Akshay Kumar and his stunts that was behind the success of Rowdy Rathore than the very acting of Sonakshi Sinha. Sonakshi had marked her debut with Dabaang and it is for the same movie song that she will be moving her legs.

We predict that may not go down well with Malaika Arora Khan, the original Munni from the film. Malaika was reportedly offended the last time Sonakshi danced to her hit song, at a sports awards show in 2010. That performance was also Sonakshi's stage debut, and Malaika was not pleased at all.

So we will see if Mallika Arora does have a problem or will the Sonakshi item number literally lite up the stage.

Arbaaz decides my item songs - Malaika

Undoubtedly the queen of cameo's Malaika Arora Khan, who had lit the screens with 'Munni' in Dabaang has come back with another hit, Anarkali, which is her upcoming item number from the movie 'Houseful 2'. The song has already gained publicity and is trending now. But she gives all credit for her song selections to her husband and director-actor Arbaaz Khan.

“Deciding on one number is a very difficult task for me. But I have to give credit to Arbaaz for that. Every time I’m contemplating doing a song, I ask him. As for me, I pretty much go with the fact that I like performing; and I also consider who I am going to be working with,” says Malaika (Click here for the song)

Apart from the sizzling number in Houseful 2, she has also shared few scenes in the movie and she is excited about this part as well "I’ve done a few scenes. They come at a very appropriate time in the film and take the plot forward. The name Anarkali has been mentioned through the film. Sometimes the characters speak about her, but no one knows who she is, until she finally arrives in the song,”.

When asked about a full fledged role in a movie, she strongly denies and says "That was never on my agenda. Also, I think it’s a bit late in the day to decide whether I want to be an actor or not. I’m happy in my space as a producer,”. She was seen performing in the Salman Khan starrer 'Dabaang' where she had worked with her husband Arbaaz and Dhilin Mehta.

Arbaaz is also planning to make directorial debut with 'Dabaang 2', the sequel to Dabaang and we might see another version of 'Munni' or a better one as Malaika confirms that the music directors are already preparing a song for her to perform! "We have some fantastic songs. Music composers Sajid-Wajid keep saying that one of them is made for me, but as of now we haven’t decided what we should do,” she says.

Mallika Sherawat turns to Munni!

The south remake of 'Dabaang' starring Simbu will see Mallika Sherawat doing the item number for the movie. She will be doing the song which was made famous by Malaika Arora Khan, Munni Badnaam Hui. The news earlier was that the role was confirmed with Katrina Kaif, but this seems to be a new turn!

The lead actor in the movie, Simbu said "We had approached Katrina Kaif and Vidya Balan for the role but due to the tight schedule of their dates, they couldn't do it. The producers then approached Mallika Sherawat and she has agreed to do the song". Simbu also added that both Kats and Vidya were eager for doing the song but they had their restrictions.

Although this is not the first song Mallika has done in south, earlier she had done a cameo for 'Dasavatharam' a movie by Kamal Hasan. The latest news is that she is given a ransom for doing this item number and the song shoot is scheduled by the end of this month at Hyderabad.

Nayantara To portray Munni In Tamil!

In the upcoming remake of the movie Dabaang in Tamil named Osthi, Nayantara is allegedly signed up for the role which Malaika Arora Khan had done aesthetically and is much famously known as 'Munni Badnaam'. The tamil version of Dabaang will show Silamberasan or Simbu doing the role done by Salman Khan and the heroine role will be played by Richa Gangopadhyay. The movie is due to be released by end of this year.

Nayantara was not the original choice of the team as it was mentioned to be Shriya Sarin who will be doing the role, but this was later changed to Nayantara. Rumor has it that when Simbu did approach his ex-lover Nayantara, she had dropped the offer and was found to be busy with her other projects, but now there has been a confirmation on her doing the role. 

We sincerely hope and we know that this will be made memorable experience by Nayans who is also known for her spicy talents as well!
