73 year old Bollywood actor and filmmaker Joy Mukharjee is no more

Joy Mukharjee had been admitted at Lilavati hospital on Monday morning in a critical condition. He was under the treatment of Dr Prabhu Desai & Dr Barve. He had not been keeping well for quite some time.The actor had shown no signs of improvement and hence the doctors had put him on ventilation till Friday and today he was declared dead at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai at 9.30 am. Mukherjee's body will be taken to his residence after the hospital formalities are completed. He is survived by his wife Neelam Mukherjee and three children - two sons and a daughter. 

Joy Mukharjee who was born on 24th February, 1939 made his debut as an actor in the movie Love in Shimla. He comes from a film-family, his father Sashadhar Mukherjee, who was married to actor Ashok Kumar's sister Sati, was the co-founder of Filmalaya Studios. Joy Mukharjee is the paternal uncle of actors Kajol and Tanisha. He became popular after doing movies like Shagird, Love in Tokyo, Bahu Beti, Ziddi, Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon, Ek Musafir Ek Hasina, Puraskar, Ishaara and Hum Hindustani. He also directed movies like Love in Bombay (1974), Chhaila Babu (1977), Saanjh Ki Bela (1981) and Umeed (1989).

Salman all set to shoot for Dabangg 2 this week

Even though the Actor Salman Khan is in pain he is all set to shoot for Dabangg 2 this week, which actually reminds me of what he said in Dabangg 'Ek baar jo maine commitment kar di, fir main apne aap ki bhi nahi sunta'. Seems as if Chulbul Pandey is all ready and back with a bang to shoot for Dabangg 2.

The shooting begins from 9th March, 2012 at Filmstan Studios in Mumbai.

Salman will be now dedicating himself to his brother, Arbaaz Khan who will make his debut as a filmmaker in Dabangg 2. It is even said that Salman even declined several projects for Dabangg 2.

Arbaaz Khan said, "This time Salman is more involved in the project". He has made some changes to the script. Though the theme will remain similar to the original, there have been a few new characters come into play in Dabangg 2, while a few characters from the original have been axed out completely.

For the first time in his career Salman would be shooting in the twin Uttar Pradesh towns of Lucknow and Kanpur where his fan-following is incredibly large.

This year for Eid the actor will be seen in YRF's Ek Tha Tiger and for christmas in the most awaited sequel of 'Dabangg'.

Madhuri Dixit comes to life at madame tussauds

Madhuri Dixit here unveiled her wax statue at Madame Tussauds becoming the seventh Indian celebrity to be showcased at the wax museum. She was extremely thrilled to be part of this and she says "I am thrilled to be here in Madame Tussauds unveiling a wax figure of myself. It's incredible just how detailed the figure is - they have captured my look beautifully!

I feel very humbled to be included alongside other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes,". Her fans are also equally thrilled about the news and is already celebrating her posture there. Madhuri Dixit becomes the third heroine after Aishwariya Rai, who found herself waxed in 2004 and Kareena Kapoor who had unveiled her statue in 2011.

There has been an immense effort put forward by the artisans along with the actress, they had worked close to a month together to get the precise look and measurements of the star. She had even shared her exquisite saree which was designed but Manish Malhottra for the looks of the statue. The overall statue costs around USD 150,000. 

"We're delighted to welcome Madhuri (and her family) here today and to be including her figures in our A-list line-up. We know Bollywood fans will also be delighted; we have been inundated with requests to make Madhuri's figure and we hope they agree it is a wonderful likeness. 

"With so many awards to her name and a career spanning over 25 years she undoubtedly deserves her place here at Madame Tussauds London," said Liz Edwards, PR Manager at Madame Tussauds.

The other prominent figures at the museum include Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan.

Govinda turns Producer !!!

B-town entertainer and the most gracious dancer Govinda who has completed 25 years in bollywood has decided to turn producer.

He is now trying to settle his 22 year old daughter Narmada's career in the film industry.

Govinda who produced the movie "Ssukh" in the year 2005 which didnt do well at the box office said "I am starting my production, which I never wanted to do. Film production is very tough. Initially when I started, I was not successful but my wife and family members supported me... you should not give up." he added "I will start for Nammu (Narmada). I have a good subject for her and I have worked very hard on it (script)."

Narmada has been trying to get into Bollywood for quite some time now, but things didn't work out for her. There were reports that she would be starred opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg but then Sonakshi Sinha got finalized, later it was said that she will make her debut in the movie "Manchali" directed by Lovely Singh opposite boxing champ Vijendra Singh but even that didn't work out.

Now Daddy dear is here to rescue his dearest daughter by launching his own production house where she can make her debut. Govinda said "I want her to create the best with whatever she has got. She should become confident in life that she should create a correct situation for herself."

Emraan ropped by YRF

Emraan Hashmi has been a busy lad ever since his venture in 'Dirty Picture', the movie which had made Vidya climb the glam world. Emraan has always been appreciated as a an actor of vivid talents but there was some inhibition which did prevent him from working with the big tags. But after 'Dirty Picture' things are changing at the moment and he has grabbed the offer from Karan Johar's Dharma production and the latest news is that he will be working with Yash Raj Films as well.

The movie from Yash Raj's will be directed by Parmeet Sethi, who had given one of the hits to YRF with Badmaash Company. Although, while the rumors are still in high note, YRF spokesperson denied to comment on this and mentioned that the director is still working on the scripts. 

Emraan who is currently working on Raaz 3, the Vikram Bhatt's third venture to Raaz sequel, once the project is done he will be moving to the Dharma Productions movie directed by Rensil D'Silva.

When asked to Emraan about the latest news he said  "When there's a formal announcement, I will be in a position to say something," and added, "I have always looked up to both the production houses. They have made some cult films."

So we wait on when the scripting gets completed and the official news of Emraan gets announced.

Wedding not planned yet - Kareena

The rumor and reports were high that the long time couple Kareena-Saif will tie a knot after their action flick 'Agent Vinod' gets released, but this is turning out to be a rubbish, as the actress herself says that there are no plans of wedding yet and the duo is currently concentrating on their respective careers.

The movie 'Agent Vinod' is set to be released on March 23 and the reports were there that the couple will get married in the same month. The 31 year old actress told the media "There are no plans of marriage yet. We are just concentrating on the release of the movie and our career now".

She also went ahead that she has done enough with the action movies and 'Agent Vinod' will be the last action movie that she does (Ouch!!). "I am a very romantic person at heart, I am petrified of gun shots and speed. "Agent Vinod" will be my last action film... I won't be doing anymore action movies... I didn't enjoy doing the stunts at all. I like doing romantic films and enjoy the singing and dancing," Kareena said.

Madhuri dixit to be the 150,000 pound wax statue!

The latest announcement by Madame Tussaud has been a joy for all Madhuri Fan's as they have finally announced that they are ready to make the wax statue of the most worshiped heroine in bollywood, Madhuri Dixit. The thrilling news came out on Thursday from London, and it is also reported that Madhuri has also given sitting pose to the sculptors in Mumbai. 

“Madhuri has already given a sitting to our sculptors in Mumbai and is expected to unveil her likeness here in March.Her figure will make a stunning new addition to our Bollywood area which continues to grow in popularity every year,” said Madame Tussauds in a statement.

The actress seems to be extremely thrilled about the event and is glad that her performance got so accepted globally that she has been chosen for the prestigious place at Madame Tussaud's. She recently tweeted confirming the statement from Madame Tussaud, “Madame Tussaud’s made the announcement and I am confirming it. Will be in London in March to introduce my likeness! Thanks for all ur support.”

Earlier, it was Kareena Kapoor who had unveiled her wax model at Tussauds.  The wax statue of Madhuri will be done in Saree from the latest collection from Manish Malhotra. 

The statue will be unveiled in March, 2012 at London. The specialists on hair, sculpting and design department are rigorously working on this, we can't wait to catch a glimpse.
