The beauty of the trailer is that it doesn't give a clue of what the movie is related to or where the story line goes on. Another interesting fact is that there is no dialogues from Mohanlal in the trailer which is also kept so subtle to not reveal the story line.

Vijay will be romancing Kajal Agarwal once again after his famous Thuppaki, the 2012 Tamil Movie.

Jilla (2014) Official Trailer [HD] - Mohanlal, Vijay, Kajal Aggarwal

The much awaited movie of 2014 down in South is out with the first teaser. The movie which features the strong pillars of Tamil and Malayalam industry is already creating great waves. Jilla, the movie is directed by RT Neason and is produced by RB Choudary Production.

The movie will feature ilayathalapathy Vijay and the complete Actor Mohanlal together for the first time. Kajal Aggarwal will play the heroine to Vijay.

Music is done by D. Imman and cinematography by Ganesh Rajavelu. The tamil movie will be released during Pongal.

As the director describes, this is a purely Madurai Based Movie and will involve lot of action and fun. Niveda Thomas, a well known actress from Malayalam Movie industry will play the daughter of Mohanlal and Vijay's sister. Here is the first of trailers for the movie. Enjoy!

Priyadarshan is my key factor... - Mohanlal

The veteran actor from Malayalam Movie industry is clear about what he wants for the role and says that he is happy to have done Tezz, and explains it as one of the best movies by his friend and director Priyadarshan, Mohanlal was speaking to the media on the audio launch for Tezz. He says "I am playing a police officer. It's a small role, but the placement of the role is very critical in the film. This is one of Priyadarshan's best films. Action, choreography ... everything is brilliant," Also he continued praising the talent of Priyadarshan over his movies "He has made more than 84 films. He has grown a lot. He is thorough with his job. His way of making a film, his way of taking a song and choreographing it is entirely different," says Mohanlal.

Mohanlal is excited about the role but he says that he doesn't want to prove anything in Bollywood when he chooses his movies, he says "Company was enough for me. With this particular film Tezz, Priyadarshan is my key factor... not my role or anything,", the actor has had many offers after his first Bollywood movie, Company, which did jump into the hit charts. Ever since he has been choosy about the roles he take up and is carefully handling the best and 'irresistible story' line that he hears. "Company was an irresistible role for me. A couple of (Bollywood) scripts came to me after that, but I didn't find anything interesting. For an actor to get a good role is a blessing," says the superstar.

He has ruled the Malayalam movie industry for the past 30 years and he says he is pretty happy to be staying in his mother tongue. When asked about the entry of south stars like Prithviraj, Rana Daggubati, Ram Charan Teja, Dhanush and Siddharth into the industry, he clearly stated that he has no desires like them and he has nothing to be proved "I am not a newcomer! I have been in this industry for so long. What should I prove? I am happy with my own language. Now if I get a very irresistible role I will try it. I don't want to prove anything. Others from the south who are settling in Bollywood are newcomers. They want to do Hindi films for various factors," added the 51 year old.

Explaining his experience through Tezz, he said that it was all Priyadarshan's style of handling and he is pretty happy about it. "Most of the actors are comfortable doing Priyadarshan's film. He knows how to use or handle an artist. He is one of the greatest directors I know and of course he is my friend,"

Mohanlal not happy with 'Tezz'

The Mollywood super star, Mohanlal is open about his disagreement when the promos of 'Tezz' got released. He found that he had lesser screen presence compared to the other actors in the movie and he took out the social networking to comment his views and there has been a quite lot of fans supporting the star. Although the role of Mohanlal in the movie is more close to a guest role or a cameo, still he feels that he has been shown in a shorter length of time than what is normal.

The promos mainly have Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor in most of the scenes in promos. But on the other hand production house confirms that Mohanlal has been paid ransom for his presence and the signing amount is close to the full fledged remuneration that he receives for a Malayalam movie.

Clearing the air, Suresh Krishna, Priyadarshan's associate explains, "Mohanlal has just six scenes in this film. He shot for seven days - two days in London, two days in Birmingham and three days in Mumbai. So you can imagine the length of the role. Out of the 2,500 prints of the film, only 10 will be screened in Kerala. Incidentally, this is a film that is being released in States like Punjab and Haryana where people know Bollywood stars better than they do any other south star. So, it might not be too easy to market a Bollywood movie with Mohanlal."

A source close to the production house confirmed his million rupee round up and said "He was paid just around the same amount that he usually takes home for a full-fledged Malayalam film. From industry reports, that amount goes into crores. You do the math."

But the producers seems to have taken the uproar seriously and are planning to release the next promo with equal importance to Mohanlal and Ajay Devgn, so we can wait in peace for the next promo to be released.

Pranayam to be Mohanlal's 300th Movie!

'Pranayam' the much celebrated movie from Blessy will be Superstar Mohanlal's 300th movie, he has been ruling the Malayalam Movie Industry for the past two decades along with Megastar Mamooty, who has also had equal exposure as Mohanlal. Mohanlal had made his debut in 1980 with movie Manjil Virinja Pookal, where he had personified a villain character. After the long ending struggle and friendships with best of movie makers including Priyadarshan has made him do the most memorable characters and his excellence has reached the 300th movie.

There was a confusion earlier as to what will be the 300th movie, as Mohanlal is currently doing one more movie, by the veteran director Sathyan Athicadu, whose movie is yet to be named or will it be 'Pranayam' that will mark the milestone. Finally it is fixed and Mohanlal seems to be equally thrilled about this.

Though Mohanlal has been having tough times at box office with all his recent movies, we hope that the Blessy movie will be a trend changer! Apart from his movie life, he has been having tough time personally too, the recent raids by Income Tax Department and his controversial fights with Sukumar Azhikode was also making his life tough.

Pranayam will also star Anupam Kher, Jayapradha along with Mohanlal.

Although the 51 year old is still known for his dedication and personification of various characters. We wish Mohanlal all the very best!

Mammooty and Mohanlal face Raids!

The Income Tax Department Impact!

Mammooty and Mohanlal, two pronounced and super hit actors in Malayalam movie industry recently face trouble with their Tax filing. The stars who have been gaining over 1.5 crore per movie was found to be paying only a nominal tax of 2 crore, in a country where the bollywood or Hindi Film Industry contributes the most to the taxes, the stars had been an exception. They were filing taxes in Chennai and due to the same reason they were never under the scanner until recently.

The Income Tax department on Friday conducted raids at the homes and offices of Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty.

The raids were conducted at their homes and offices in Kochi, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai.

The raids to the date has not revealed any active income, but there are few accessories that were seized during the raids and the tax might be yielded from the captivated materials. Sources have said that the stars had no prior information of the raids. It remains to be seen as to what comes out of the raids after the Income Tax department will talk to the two superstars.

The raids were conducted after suspicion that the actors have accessed disproportionate sources of income, sources said.

MohanLal and Blessy to Join Again!

There has been confirmed reports that Mohanlal will be doing the Blessy directed 'Pranayam'. The latest news about his Onam release Casanova, which got postponed has come in a blessing to the director who is already working on the movie to be released by September 2011. 

The movie will be starring Superstar Mohanlal, along with Anupam Kher, Jayapradha and Anoop Menon playing in lead roles. There is said to be four songs written by O.N.V Kurup. M. Jayachandran after his latest flick 'Rathinirvedam' will be doing the music for this movie. Other leading stars of the movie is Nivedita, Niyas and Dhanya Mary.

The movie is based on a Love theme.
