The Colorful Rathore - Akshay

Akshay Kumar seems to be revisiting the ages of Bollywood when heroes did try wearing red pants and green shirts. Blame Govinda for the trend, as he did wear dresses which were unimaginable and of killing combinations. The recent snaps at the sets of 'Rowdy Rathore' directed by Prabhu Deva seems to be one such movie where you will be able to revisit the yesteryears. 

The recent snaps that were released of the movie spots include Akshay wearing a pink pant and talking on the phone. Another shows him fighting from a building, as he usually does. So it might be a quick change over for the guy who has been known for his humor and mind blowing action skills. We wonder what more would he try besides the pink pants and blue shoes.

Prabhu Deva, who wears the directors cap again for the movie is quite excited about this one as well. He had done a marvel with Salman Khan in Ready. The film is jointly produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and UTV. Sonakshi Sinha plays Akshay’s love interest in the film and it is scheduled to release in June this year. Housefull 2 will be Akshay’s first release this year on 5th April, followed by Rowdy Rathore and Joker subsequently.

Also we might hear another big news from Akshay as both Akki and Twinkle are expecting their next child after Aarav, he was spotted busy talking on phone with his wife during interval sessions of shooting. A caring father and a loving husband as always.

Govinda all set to make his comeback

Actor Govinda who turned a politician and an actor again is currently making a movie. Govinda, who was very popular in the 90s, has found that over the years that his loud clothes and humour don’t find many takers. Everytime he teamed up with David Dhawan, the film would be a superhit. David Dhawan’s last film Rascals unfortunately bombed at the Box Office. Even though Govinda is a fabulous dancer, he has aged and gained more weight than what suits the current audience tastes. 

So is Govinda making a comback with David Dhawan ?? Well David Dhawan has got busy with his remake of Chashme Buddoor and now Govinda's friend Pahlaj Nihalani, producer of Govinda’s first big hit (Ilzaam) has come to his rescue with a new project called Avatar. Avatar will be Pahlaj's first outing as a director. 

Palhaj said, "Govinda and I are lucky for each other. We had hugely successful films in Aankhen and Shola Aur Shabnam. Currently neither of us is on top; but I believe that when we get together we will come up with something interesting."

The movie is a thriller and Govinda is getting fit because he plays a footballer. Actor Govinda is showing a lot of enthusiasm in the project. Firstly, the actor is kicked about collaborating with Pahlaj with whom he had given a lot of hits such as ‘Shola Aur Shabnam,’ and ‘Aankhen’ in the '90s. Secondly he lost over 28 kilos to play the role of a footballer in the movie. Thirdly he apparently underwent a hair transplant to look convincing enough to play the part. 

Shooting for the movie has already begun in Mumbai and Govinda was spotted along with his other co-star Yashpal Sharma dribbling a ball. 

Pahlaj said he hopes with ‘Avatar’, Govinda and he will prove to be lucky for each other once again after all these years.

Govinda turns Producer !!!

B-town entertainer and the most gracious dancer Govinda who has completed 25 years in bollywood has decided to turn producer.

He is now trying to settle his 22 year old daughter Narmada's career in the film industry.

Govinda who produced the movie "Ssukh" in the year 2005 which didnt do well at the box office said "I am starting my production, which I never wanted to do. Film production is very tough. Initially when I started, I was not successful but my wife and family members supported me... you should not give up." he added "I will start for Nammu (Narmada). I have a good subject for her and I have worked very hard on it (script)."

Narmada has been trying to get into Bollywood for quite some time now, but things didn't work out for her. There were reports that she would be starred opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg but then Sonakshi Sinha got finalized, later it was said that she will make her debut in the movie "Manchali" directed by Lovely Singh opposite boxing champ Vijendra Singh but even that didn't work out.

Now Daddy dear is here to rescue his dearest daughter by launching his own production house where she can make her debut. Govinda said "I want her to create the best with whatever she has got. She should become confident in life that she should create a correct situation for herself."
