When Anil Kapoor almost killed John Abraham

John Abraham had a near to death experience on the sets of Shoot out at Wadala. He would have lost his life by a bullet shot by Anil Kapoor.

The two actors are currently working on the climax of the their upcoming movie, Shootout at Wadala. Johnny boy is playing the most wanted gangster Manya Surve while Anil Kapoor is playing the character of a cop, Isaque Bagwan.

The scene required Anil to shoot a bullet at John. The action squad hired for this sequence made a gross error and miscalculated the minimum distance from which the bullet was to be shot. Instead of firing from 15 feet, Anil Kapoor was told to fire from a distance 10 times lesser than the safe distance, 1.5 feet! However, luckily Anil Kapoor missed his aim and instead of hitting John in the middle of the neck as planned, the bullet just grazed the left side of John’s neck. The bullet unexpectedly, hit John with much more intensity and wounded him.

We request Anil Kapoor and the rest of the crew of the film to better be careful in future 'coz this incident has surely caused many heart attacks. Right girls?

Role not big but crucial - Irfan Khan

Fans of Irfan Khan were surprised to see the familiar face on 'The Amazing Spider-man' Trailer, he appeared to be a cool scientist on the latest trailers that were released of the movie. (trailer here). Its not the first time that Irfan has went abroad, but this was a surprise as he did not brag about this role in the movie. He was noticeably seen in the 'Slumdog Millionaire' as a cop and the main character which leads the story. But however the role in 'The Amazing Spider Man' is said to be much shorter than his previous outing but he still feels that it has an importance in the storyline.

Earlier, it was Anil Kapoor who was seen in a cameo for 'Mission Impossible4' but at the outing, Anil Kapoor was in a seemingly less important role which was just sharing the screenspace for few seconds. He had received a lot of criticism for this part, but unlike Anil's outing, Irfan still has a good scene as you could find in the trailer. 

Speaking about the length of his role in The Amazing Spider-Man, Irrfan clarified, "I don't look at how big my role is; I look at the character and what it represents to the world. The character of Dr Ratha that I play in the movie is vital as the character plays boss to the main villain (Dr Curt Connors) in the film and is the one who is pushing the transformation of Curt into The Lizard. 

Irfan has previously worked with the likes of Danny Boyle, Angelina Jolie, Ang Lee and now Mark Webb in Spider-Man. 

So we have one more reason why not to miss the new spiderman!

Anil Kapoor to be seen in 'The Indian Sherlock'

A hollywood film titled 'The Indian Sherlock', based on writer-journalist Tarquin Hall’s mystery novels will soon have a bollywood version.

The filmmakers have gotten in touch with Anil Kapoor to play the lead role in it and it seems as if he might soon clinch his fifth international project.

Director Anand Tucker of Leap Year and Shopgirl (2005) fame, who is half-Indian and half-German, will be directing the bollywood version of the movie.

A source said that, “Anil sir has not committed to the project, but he intends to meet the director and writer in Los Angeles in May to take the discussion forward.” 

The movie revolves around a detective, Vish Puri and his methods. Vish Puri is a Punjabi guy who takes pride in being a master of disguise. He solves his cases with the help of quirky undercover operatives – Tubelight, Flush and Facecream.

When asked Anil Kapoor he said that, “Yes, I have been approached, but nothing is finalised yet. Let’s see how things go.” Currently actor Anil Kapoor is busy wrapping up Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout At Wadala.

Anil Kapoor has done hollywood movies like Slumdog Millionaire (2008) and Mission:impossible IV - Ghost Protocol (2011), along with the international TV series 24 (2011).

He is preparing to start shooting for Roger Donaldson’s Cities, a movie in which he will share screen space with Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst.

He said that, "Yes, a lot of offers are coming my way. Now, I can sit back and choose what I want to do. After Slumdog Millionaire, I was slightly apprehensive about whether I should do more movies in the West. But now, I don't have to worry about that. Even if I do a film after three years, they will still have a suitable role for me."

He added, "Everybody knows me in Hollywood today. All the producers, directors and actors know me as the talk show host from the Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire or Omar Hassan, the President of a fictional a Middle-east country under an assasination threat in 24 and the comic billionaire of Mission: Impossible IV. These projects are like my visiting cards there."

NO ENTRY to be remade in Marathi

Underground Films Pvt Ltd announced that the super hit movie of the year 2005 NO ENTRY will be remade in Marathi. It will be titled No Entry…pudhe Dhoka Aahey!!

No Entry is a Hindi comedy film which was released in the year 2005. It was directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Boney Kapoor. The films stars Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitley, Esha Deol and Bipasha Basu. This film was loosely based on the Tamil film titled Charlie Chaplin. NO ENTRY was one of the Biggest hit of 2005.

The Marathi version of the film produced by Premnath Rajagoplan and Nikhil Saini of Underground Films Pvt Ltd will be directed by Milind Arun Kavde. Guru Thakur is the lyrics writer for this comedy flick, and the music  will be composed by Sargam Nakash. 

Top Marathi stars like Bharat Jadhav, Ankush Choudhari, Kranti Redkar, Saie Tamhankar, Aniket Vishwasrao, Sai Lokur, Manava Naik and Paddy Kambli have been roped in to play the lead roles that had been played by Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Lara Dutta Bipasha Basu, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol, Celina Jaitley and others in the Hindi version.

The shooting of the film will begin in May 2012. The movie will be shot in Goa and Mumbai.

Producer wants Mallika, Director wants Sameera !!!!

The makers of Tezz starring Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor and Zayed Khan land up having an argument. A lot of fuss is being created over one item song. Well a few weeks ago Sameera Reddy who was to do the introductory item song in Priyadarshan's 'Tezz' produced by Ratan Jain had been dropped and was replaced by Mallika Sherawat, the third actress who had been approached to do the item song ,after Priyanka Chopra backed out. 

It was producer Ratan Jain's idea to cast his favourite Mallika Sherawat for the song. Priyadarshan though not happy with Jain's idea to include an item number, had given in to the decision. It was scheduled to be shot over two days - February 27 and 28 with two ladies Sameera Reddy and Mallika Sherawat. While Director Priyadarshan insisted on casting only Sameera in the song, Ratan Jain wanted his favourite Mallika. 

The debate over the two divas went out of hand, and Priyan told Jain that he wouldn't direct the song that will have Mallika Sherawat. As a result, the shoot has now been postponed by two days. Confirming that the shoot is now scheduled for February 29, Jain said, "Its irrelevant whether Sameera does the song or Mallika. I don't insist. I only do what is best for my film. Priyan and I did have a discussion. However, he never said that he only wanted Sameera in the picture."

Mohanlal not happy with 'Tezz'

The Mollywood super star, Mohanlal is open about his disagreement when the promos of 'Tezz' got released. He found that he had lesser screen presence compared to the other actors in the movie and he took out the social networking to comment his views and there has been a quite lot of fans supporting the star. Although the role of Mohanlal in the movie is more close to a guest role or a cameo, still he feels that he has been shown in a shorter length of time than what is normal.

The promos mainly have Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor in most of the scenes in promos. But on the other hand production house confirms that Mohanlal has been paid ransom for his presence and the signing amount is close to the full fledged remuneration that he receives for a Malayalam movie.

Clearing the air, Suresh Krishna, Priyadarshan's associate explains, "Mohanlal has just six scenes in this film. He shot for seven days - two days in London, two days in Birmingham and three days in Mumbai. So you can imagine the length of the role. Out of the 2,500 prints of the film, only 10 will be screened in Kerala. Incidentally, this is a film that is being released in States like Punjab and Haryana where people know Bollywood stars better than they do any other south star. So, it might not be too easy to market a Bollywood movie with Mohanlal."

A source close to the production house confirmed his million rupee round up and said "He was paid just around the same amount that he usually takes home for a full-fledged Malayalam film. From industry reports, that amount goes into crores. You do the math."

But the producers seems to have taken the uproar seriously and are planning to release the next promo with equal importance to Mohanlal and Ajay Devgn, so we can wait in peace for the next promo to be released.

All Problems between him and Dad : Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor has now started the war of words and she is handling the media quite perfectly. She was responding to the rumors about a cold war between her and Abhay Deol. The fight was triggered at the sets of 'Aisha' when the pair had worked together and there were issues between Anil Kapoor and Abhay. Anil Kapoor even went to say that 'Abhay needs help' in every possible ways!!

Since then the pair hasn't worked together or being offered movies by her dad's production house. But things are going to change with Rajkumar Santhoshi's next movie where Abhay and Sonam will come together. When 'zoom' asked her about the fight between her and Abhay, she calmly said "I never had any problems with Abhay. In fact, I'm talking about it for the first time here. All the problems were between him and my dad, Anil Kapoor. The war-of-words, or so to say, was never between us."

Paula Patton wishes to work with Aishwariya

Paula Patton and Tom Cruise who is busy promoting their movie 'Mission Impossible 4 : The Ghost Protocol' finds Indian movies a great market to explore. Paula, who seems to be much excited with the Bollywood movies has expressed her desire to act in one. 

She talked to the media praising her co-star Anil Kapoor, who has done a incredible job in the movie and said "Anil is very good actor. India is a huge market. Indian movies are accepted by audiences almost everywhere. There are lots of fans for Bollywood movies abroad. The industry over here is doing pretty good"

When media threw the question on who her favorite was, there was no great surprise as the actress went with Aishwariya Rai Bachchan, “I love Aishwarya Rai and would love to work with her. She is really a good-looking woman and a good actress.”

Anil Kapoor hosts a big bash at Taj palace and Bollywood bigwigs partied with Tom Cruise.

Shahid wants Sonakshi !

Shahid wants his heroine!

Recently in a project the bollywood had high anticipations of viewing the pair together. The sources confirm that Sonakshi Sinha was requested to arrive for the screen test in the movie. Unfortunately Sonakshi failed to attend the event and the producers went ahead with Sonam Kapoor, who had just received a high count of successes. 

But the recent news is that Shahid Kapoor is keen to work with Sonakshi, and has been sending messages through friends and close people to Sonakshi. But in the light of previous events Sonakshi is least interested and is said to be ignoring the requests. We hope we see the pair together.

Sonakshi Sinha is the daughter of 80's super star Shatrughan Sinha and Sonam Kapoor is the daughter of Anil Kapoor a famous hero from 90's, who was also praised for his performance in the movie Slumdog millionaire. 

We hope to see Shahid's wish fulfill.
