Amy-Prateik breakup!

Buzz is that Amy and Prateik have called it quits on their relationship. The couple fell in love with each other in their movie Ek Deewana Tha.

Sources say that Prateik was madly in love with Amy and was helping her to get settled in the film industry. Soon Amy had moved to Prateik’s apartment.

The duo was quite open about their relationship and often made public appearances in many events. They had even gone to the extent of tattooing each other's name. Amy's tattoo reads, “Mera Pyaar Mera Prateik", while Prateik's reads, "Mera Pyaar Meri Amy".

Amy even had Prateik introduced to her family and they seemed to be happy with her choice. According to the rumours, it was Prateik’s over possessiveness that led to the break-up.

However, Amy’s representative rubbished all the rumours.  “Amy and Prateik are very much together, and stay in touch. The two are concentrating on their respective careers, and are shooting for their films in Tamil and Hindi. So, it`s not possible for them to meet up every other day. But they do make it a point to chat with each other during breaks. Moreover, Prateik is not a possessive person and Amy genuinely likes him for what he is. The two of them haven`t fallen apart. They are now on a break,” said the representative.

Sonam Kapoor opts out Mani Ratnam's film

Sonam Kapoor has opted out of Mani Ratnam's new Tamil film. The lead role for the movie was offered to Sonam Kapoor but she opted out the movie and now Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been finalized for the same. 

A source said, “At this point in her career going Southwards for Sonam would give the wrong signal to the filmmakers in Bollywood. Mani had his heart set on Sonam since she suited the young innocent effervescent sophisticated girl’s role. He had to look for a last-minute replacement.”

Samantha is an Indian film actress and model who appears in Telugu and Tamil films. She was supposed to make her bollywood debut in "Ek Deewaana Tha" but the role went to Amy Jackson now she will be making her debut with Assi Nabey Poore Sau. 

A source said, "Gautham wanted Samantha for the Hindi version of 'Vinaaithandi Vaaruvaaya'. Having failed in that endeavour, he is now in the process of completing 'Assi Nabey Poore Sau' as a Hindi launch vehicle for her." Samantha was introduced in movies by Gautham Menon in "Ye Maya Chesave".

The movie "Assi Nabey Poore Sau" will be directed by Gautham Menon. The film pairs Samantha with Aditya Roy Kapoor (who was seen in 'Guzaarish' and 'Action Replayy'). Gautham Menon said, "Both Sam and Aditya have to have to go through three age-transitions from 15 to 20 to 25. Their love story starts when they're six. Obviously Sam and Aditya couldn't play the six-year old pair. But the three other stages in the characters' lives have been pulled off effortlessly by the lead air."

The new movie is to launch Tamil actor Karthik's son Gautham.

One Movie,Two different climaxes !!!!

One of the most awaited movies of 2012, Ek Deewana Tha, starring Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson written and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, is all set to hit the screens today.

A different love story, which revolves around a mechanical engineering graduate, ardent about being a film maker and his neighbour, who is a year old than him. Its all about the trials and tribulations they face in their love. This movie is a remake of the director's own Tamil movie, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (VTV) starring Simbu and Trisha which was remade in Telugu as Ye Maaya Chesave starring Naga Chaitanya and Samantha. But it is said that Ek Deewana Tha is going to be very different from the Tamil and Telugu version.

It's quite amusing to know that Ek Deewana Tha will have two endings, yes TWO DIFFERENT VERSIONS WITH TWO DIFFERENT ENDINGS !!!!! For the first time in our country, a Bollywood film is releasing with two different climaxes at once!!! While the most popular ending will be the one at the theaters, elite screens will have what can be called the 'Director's Cut' (as the director feels there are quite a few audiences who would love the director’s cut) which will be screened only at selected theatres.

But Why is the climax different from the Tamil and Telugu version ? Gautham Menon says, "No two men think alike !!! So when it came to catering to my core audience, I had to think differently each time. It was like three different directors working on the same story. The Tamil audience is more receptive to unusual endings. Thus we had a coming-of-age climax for that audience. The Telugu version had a feel-good climax because the audience there prefers happy endings. However, the climax of the Hindi version will warm the viewer's hearts, will be very endearing.... it is going to be something unexpected". 

Gautham Menon has shot three different versions of the climax and is unwilling to reveal the one he is going to use. What could be the climax ???

Prateik and Amy takes it to another level

Deewana on reel has gone real now, as Amy and Prateik is bonding tighter if the news are to be believed, the pair is often seen together in parties and the young actor seems to enjoy the company of Amy very much. Amy Jackon and Prateik Babbar is pairing together for  Gautham Vasudev Menon's movie 'Ek Deewana Tha'.

There had been recent pics of Prateik and Amy enjoying a party and getting bit sensuous through the game. Since he's in a steady relationship with someone after a while, he wants to go out and have fun. While he plans to surprise Amy, we hate to be spoilsports and say that friends reveal he plans to fly her out of the country on the big day!

Now thats a good and new one Prateik!

Hosanna Trouble for AR Rahman

No, its not a joke, the CSF or the Christian Secular Forum has a problem with the song and they have asked the producers to avoid the use of the word 'Hosanna' from the song(seriously?) plus want a public apology from the composer and lyricist for the use of the word. The news spread out as the song of the movie 'Ek Diwana Tha' which stars Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson has gained publicity. The song has the soul resided on the word 'Hosanna' which is the controversy now.

The CSF, Mumbai has issued an email statement to the lyricist Javed Akhtar, composer A R Rahman and the members associated with the movie from Fox Star Studios and Sony Music India, expressing the concern over the word and have also asked a public apology for using the holy word in the song. 

According to CSF, the word 'Hosanna' is a prayer used in Bible and is widely used by Christians and Jews. The forum finds that the song uses the sacred word in wrong context. The CSF also plans to move court against Fox Star Studios and Sony Music as well as file a police complaint against those concerned.

Now seriously thinking, why should this be a issue at all? Is it the fame game? This will have gone out as one of the best songs by A R Rahman but still there has to be a controversy. The same song in Tamil went out to be a super duper hit minus the controversy!

Amy And Prateik are 'just' close friends!

Amy Jackson, British model, who is making her debut in Bollywood with the movie 'Ek Diwana Tha', the upcoming flick of Prateik Babbar has rubbished the rumors of her dating Prateik. She said that they were just close friends. "He's a good friend and he made me very comfortable on the sets. He's a very dedicated guy and he influenced me a lot. We worked together on this movie and we grew pretty close during the shoot," says Amy. 

Ek Diwana Tha is a remake of South Indian flick 'Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya' and will be directed by the same director, Gautham Vasudev Menon. The movie also is highlighted with mesmerizing songs of A. R. Rahman. Another buzz is that Amy had edged out Trisha Krishnan for the role, who has reportedly opted out off the movie due to personal reasons. "She was meant to play the part, but there were some issues and the role finally came to me. She is a brilliant actor. I've watched some of her films and liked them," says Amy, who will play a conservative Malayali Christian in the film.

Amy had made her debut into movies through South Indian flick Madraspattanam, which went out to gain much appraisal for the actress. When it came to changing looks, she said she is all ready for the changeover ""As an actor, I am prepared to change my hairstyle, the colour of my eyes, and wear a sari. I hope it will have a big impact and hope the audience will like it." However, there is one thing she still has to master - her Hindi diction. "I didn't know a word of Hindi the whole time we were shooting the film," says Amy candidly, adding, "But I memorized my lines and lip-synced, which made it a lot easier. My diction is improving by the day." 

She has also confirmed that she will be ready to do item numbers too, so that will be a treat to watch "I've watched a few songs on TV and the girls look fabulous, but I feel their role has to be interesting as well." 

The actor, who will soon start shooting for Vikram's Thandavam in February, confirms that she hasn't been signed for Bala's next film. "Those are all rumours. So far, nothing is confirmed," she clarifies.
