Thisara Parera Storm Takes Sunrises Home

Thisara Perera was unstoppable. His unbeaten 32-ball 57 against the charged up Trinidad and Tobago showed his mettle. It looked a tough task for Sunrisers Hyderabad to chase down 161, especially after they lost captain Shikhar Dhawan early. But the Sri Lankan all-rounder guided his team to a four-wicket win with three balls to spare. T-T off-spinner Sunil Narine bagged four wickets, but his efforts went in vain for T&T in their Group B match at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.

Dhawan was going to be the key player for Hyderabad when they set about their chase; getting him out early was vital for T&T, considering the late evening dew that had the potential to derail the bowling side. After Dhawan and Parthiv Patel had put on 35 in four overs, Narine came on. He struck immediately, Parthiv falling for 17 as he sliced one straight to short third man. Ten runs later, Dhawan was out too, popping a return catch to Navin Stewart off a slower delivery.

At the 10-over mark, Hyderabad had reached 70. Their required rate had climbed to 9.1 runs per over. First ball of the 11th over, a run out accounted for JP Duminy. It was here that Perera walked in. He immediately revealed his intentions, smacking Stewart over long on for six off the second ball he faced. Two overs later, he swung Rayad Emrit twice over midwicket, once for four and once for six.

The wicket of Hanuma Vihari in the 13th over, bowled by Narine, brought Darren Sammy to the crease. Narine came back in the 18th, to bowl his last over, and dismissed Sammy and Ashish Reddy off successive balls. But Perera was still there, already on 48, having hit three fours and four sixes. With Narine's quota completed, the task of scoring 19 from 12 balls wasn't going to be too difficult; in the end, Hyderabad reached their target with three balls to go. Earlier, it was the turn of another southpaw in Darren Bravo to stamp his class all over the ground. With quick and decisive thinking and nimble footwork, Bravo played with swagger, taking on Ishant sharma and Amit Mishra in particular in scoring 66 off 44 balls. The 24-year-old was in his element and hit four sixes and five fours

With Bravo in such fantastic form, the others played second fiddle to him, content on giving him the strike. Evin Lewis and Denesh Ramdin scored 20s, but Bravo dominated proceedings as his side finished at 160 for 8.

48.5 crore - 50 Lakhs - Rowdy Rathore Sums up

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is having a good run with his production venture 'Rowdy Rathore' which has managed to give a stir to the box office and has also marked the third best opening for Akshay Kumar and one of the best in his recent years. The movie is said to have collected half a billion rupees through the first four days of release, the movie however was close to getting into a copyright issue as the Hyderabad based music company had claimed rights over the famous number 'Chinta ta ta' and that made a loss of Rs. 50 Lakh for Sanjay as he had only the rights for the movie but not the song.

The amount was given in an out of court settlement to the music label 'Aditya Music'. Sanjay had already brought the rights for the movie ‘Vikramarkudu’ which is the original of Rowdy Rathore, and the movie was made in Telugu. But the fact that the music rights were with a different company came into light lately. The production house of Rowdy Rathore decided to go for an out of the court settlement as they did not want to be in a legal issue.

Although the amount that was provided as compensation is comparatively very feeble as the first few hours of collection would give the movie a much better amount than 50 Lakhs.

The Chinta Ta song from Rowdy Rathore was choreographed by Sajid - Wajid and is also featuring Kareena Kapoor in it.

And it seems that the second outing of Sonakshi Sinha is not so bad at all as she still managed to strike gold with this.

FIR against Genelia!

Soon before the Mehndi colors fade, here is a controversy and a rather serious one against the Lady Deshmukh. Yes, Genelia Deshmukh is now involved in a court case and an FIR has been filed against her at Hyderabad. Genelia, has been surprised by this new claim but this is the fact. She had been the brand ambassador of a builder firm who has recently duped people off their lands and have ended up as a scam!

Genelia was shocked with the news a source close to her says "Genelia was in midst of the promotions of her movie and was also having a good time with her husband when the news spread. She was shocked and she said this is a baseless claim. She says that she has nothing to do with the firm and this was just another photoshoot".

Court had found that Genelia was the face of the builder company and was on their every possible ads a couple of years earlier. The case filed against the company naturally fell into her name as well as the owners were missing to represent the company.

Genelia who is a popular brand model and has been quite active with televisions. There has always been a charm that she adds to the brands but this is the first time she would have found a blow. She currently is the brand ambassador of Fanta, Virgin Mobile India, Fastrack, LG Mobiles, Garnier Light, Margo, and Perk in India.

Genelia who had got married on 3 February 2012, according to Marathi marriage traditions in a Hindu wedding ceremony. She got married at a Roman Catholic ceremony in Bandra, at the following day. The celebrations are still in high when the news spread out.

We hope the Deshmukh factor does help her cover the issue!
