Salman Khan : Off with Drinks and Smoking - Gets Punctual

Salman Khan has had a serious changeover ever since his surgery and this is for good of the actor. Salman who was a chain smoker and had social drinking habits is reported to have completely done away with both. 

A friend of Salman says, “Salman bhai is in his prime. He is enjoying success like never before and has become extremely disciplined. After his health scare around a year back due to trigeminal neuralgia (nerve pain), Salman does not want to hamper the recovery process any more. That’s why he decided that he would quit smoking and drinking.”

Apparently, it has been nearly five months now that Salman has not had a smoke or a drink. Also, in spite of him partying like always before, word is that he has made sure he stays away from any such bad habits.

Our source adds, “Salman is also making sure that he finishes his films as per schedule and is always present on the sets on time. He is also taking keen interest in every aspect of the film making including the promotions which he never did earlier.”

The source further adds, “Salman’s illness scared everyone around him and his family. He now does not want to do anything that will upset his family members and quitting drinking and smoking is the first step towards that.”

Another interesting method said to be used by Salman Khan is that he holds the cigarette and puffs it without lighting it and throws it away, later one of his boys will go collect it and give it back for re-use. We think that the throwing away habit is quite unhygienic! Thats just us!

Salman's Hollywood action : Katrina's worry

Salman Khan's action is something which makes him stand out of the crowd of Khan's. The actor has a peculiar way of carrying out his action sequences and his fans adore him when he is doing action. But the recent turn of events makes him have more trouble with doing action sequences as he is restricted from doing stunts by the doctors (news here)

Now it has become mandatory for the actor to undergo the surgery if he wants to continue with the action sequences. The whole crew is concerned about Salman's health and is taking extreme care. Salman Khan who is currently filming 'Dabaang 2' has plans to get the surgery done before next schedule.

It seems Katrina is equally caring about his health as his family is, it is said that Kats have scheduled her shooting dates such that she has time to be with Salman during and post his surgery. "Katrina madam has her schedules adjusted and it seems she will move with Salman to US during his surgery schedule" says an insider.

Salman and Katrina is currently busy with the promotions of 'Ek Tha Tiger' which is scheduled to be released on August 15th. It has been fun rounds for the two as the movie promotions has helped them to come closer to each other and it was seen that they were pulling legs of each other. But this time around, it was mostly Salman Khan doing the pulling in a rather more friendly gesture (news here)

Ek Tha Tiger's Hollywood connection

Unlike other movies, the stunts of  'Ek Tha Tiger' is more clean and more robust. Thanks to the stunt director  Conrad Palmisano, who is again from Hollywood. He is the x-factor responsible for the stunning stunts that we see in the promos of Ek Tha Tiger (latest promo here)

Talking about the action part of the film, Salman had earlier stated, "I have worked very hard for the action part of this film. The visual and choreography has come out really well. Unlike other action films, Ek Tha Tiger doesn't have senseless, illogical action."

All's well with Big B

Bollywood Mega star Amitabh Bachchan who underwent a surgery two months back was ill again. Amitabh Bachchan was suffering from "excruciating pain" since a couple of days.

Amitabh Bachchan even tweeted, " I rose from my desk to get to bed, but excruciating pain, stopped me in my tracks and I found it difficult to walk, to stand, to sit, to lie down. Quite horrendous ! This was not there post operation even.. so what really is the reason for it two months down the line?” He added, “I have no answer. But tomorrow there should be one as I prepare for a CT Scan, after devouring a large bottle or bottles of that yellow fluid, that shall line the internal organs so the scan can pick up any region that could be infected or being the cause for the pain.”

The doctors at the Nanavati hospital conducted CT scan on actor Amitabh Bachchan on Tuesday (April 10th) afternoon. Amitabh Bachchan who was accompanied by Abhishek Bachchan and his family doctor arrived the hospital at around 3.30 pm and spent more than an hour at the hospital.

A source said that, "The procedure took around 50 minutes after which the actor was permitted to go back to his Jalsa home, which is  a couple of kilometres away from the hospital." and added, "Amitji was in pain and had taken an appointment a day before for the scan, after he developed acute pain in his abdomen. The family doctor, who had accompanied Bachchan was closely monitoring the CT scan visuals and instantly analysed the preliminary reports and further spoke to the specialist and surgeon, who had operated the actor 45 days ago."

And now the actor who was in pain two days back is totally fine now.

Medical superintendent of Nanavati Hospital Ashok Hatolkar said that, "Amitabh Bachchan had come for a routine CT scan examination. It is related to his previous health conditions. There is nothing to worry about."

Salman in pain again

Salman Khan who underwent a surgery for trigeminal neuralgia (a facial nerve disorder), is experiencing pain in his jaw again.

Trigeminal neuralgia is a nerve disorder that causes a stabbing or electric-shock-like pain in parts of the face. The pain of trigeminal neuralgia comes from the trigeminal nerve. This nerve carries pain, feeling, and other sensations from the brain to the skin of the face. It can affect part or all of the face, and the surface of the eye.

Salman has been suffering this facial nerve disorder for the last seven years. He had also gone to US six months back to undergo a surgery for the same. Before going to US last year in August Salman Khan said, “I am suffering from trigeminal neuralgia, a facial nerve problem I have had since the last seven years. But now, it’s getting worse. Ab dard hadd se paar ho gaya hai and I am going to kill it."

After the surgery that involved removing blockages inside his mouth using coils and a few weeks of recuperation, the actor had come back home to start work on his YRF project. And while shooting for the Kabir Khan film, Ek Tha Tiger in Cuba last month, Salman started experiencing pain again. A source from the film unit said, "Salman is feeling a knot in his jaw." 

Salman Khan's friend said, "Salman is on medication for the same. But he doesn't worry about it much. People suffer from all kinds of conditions - blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol. This too a physical condition. This doesn't mean that it will deter Salman from living his life to the fullest. Salman started experiencing this health problem about seven years back. The nagging pain however, vanished completely in a couple of years only to reappear in June last year."

It is said that the reason for the return of the pain might be due to the vigorous stunts and actions in the movie.

According to the doctors and surgeons, this can be cured by surgery or medication.

Lets all hope that he recovers soon.

Big B still in pain!

It seems that the release of Big B from SevenHills hospital is still not recent, as he is said to be hospitalized few more days following the pain. The 69 year old actor was supposed to be released from hospital on Monday following the abdominal surgeries. 

Big B had earlier tweeted that he is still suffering from acute pain and his words went "NOT SUCH AN EXCITING DAY! Acute pain throughout, but bearing up ... still in hospital and delay now in release" on monday, there has been no further updates about his status. It is also said that the hospital is turning out to be a fortress for media and there has been no entry for any of the crew. Earlier when IANS tried to get in touch with the crew, they were informed that Amitabh Bachchan will have to stay few more days at the hospital.

There is also a big crew of bollywood celebrities lining up to meet the superstar. It is said that the abdominal problems had got serious following the injury that the star had sustained during his shooting days of 'Coolie' in 1982. The blog from Big B also did explain the intense pain that he is currently undergoing, excerpt "The morning has been nightmarish. There has been incredible pain in the region of the surgery, and the spasms so acute that they brought me to the level of a scream … which is saying a lot, for, my resistance to pain has been quite satisfactory in the past, But the doctors were immediately summoned. After change in the dressings and pain killers, there seems to be some semblance of relief. Not entirely, but enough,"

Sharukh to take over Salman's Role!

alman Khan's ill health might cost him his role in the upcoming movie of Karan Johar, which still is untitled. The news is that since Salman Khan is recovering from his surgery at US, he wont be able to get back to his schedule in near future. This has prompted K Jo to move to his favorite star in the industry, King Khan.

Salman Khan has busy schedules at the moment, he will be back to the sets of Yash Raj's Ek Tha Tiger and will then do 'Sher Khan' with Sohail Khan Productions. He will then have to take break again to move back for his second surgery, since the actor is running on tight schedules, the Karan Johar's Dharma Productions is considering an alternative.

The source mentioned that " We will be ringing Salman again and try to fix in dates, if otherwise, we will have to look at our options". The options certainly point to Shah Rukh Khan.

The movie is scheduled to be directed by Rensil D'silva and will have Katrina Kaif doing the lead lady.

Zarine Khan owes it all to Salman

arine Khan has returned back from the ill fate of Veer through the song 'Character Dheela' of 'Ready'. She has been busy doing the fashion nights and has glowed ever since. The actor has given all credit of her success to Salman Khan. She believes that its Salman who is her guiding star and she doesn't make any decisions without consulting with him. Zarine was speaking to the press on the latest news which mentioned that Zarine Khan was an extra actor in the movie Yuvvraj, the flick from Salman Khan.

She said " I was just another Salman Khan fan who had rushed to meet Salman at the sets of his movie. I was lucky enough to get talking with him and he might have noticed something in me which made me join his next movie Veer as the lead lady, it was completely a dream and I still can't believe it happened". She responded when asked about her entry into movies. She had a record of having 100Kg weight during her college days and becoming an actress was never a dream for the now star. 

When asked about the heavy size of hers, she said "Yes, I was not conscious of my body until late. I was a bright student and wanted to be a doctor. So the profession I was searching for did not require me to be in shape, but ever since into movies I have taken more serious approach and have been making sure to be in shape". 

For the movie Salman Khan was searching for a Katrina Kaif look alike which came as boon for the actress and that shined bright. When asked about how she feels about Salman she glushed,"Its great to know a person like Salman Khan, he has been a friend, a philosopher and a guide to me. He is infact the only person I know from the Industry and I keep in touch with him for the slightest decisions that I make. I owe my career to him" When asked about if she did contact him post-surgery, she said "Salman is now unable to talk but we have been exchanging sms-text's and also I am in touch with his family who are there with him and he is recovering well". 

After the slow start of career through 'Veer', Zarine Khan found her new life in the song for 'Ready' and she mentions this opened the commercial side of hers. When asked about more item numbers that she might do she said "It depends on how the song is, if it is entertainment and fun, I will do it, but for item songs, I feel it should be shot aesthetically. As long as it is not vulgar, I will do it".

She has her bright limelight with upcoming movies like Partner -2 and her upcoming south movie with Vikram.
