Facebook About To Add 'Sympathize' Button, Also Plans For Adding 'Dislike'

So it is!! facebook has finally decided to bring in a new button to its otherwise 'complete' set of social emotions. The sympathize button is about to be launched and the facebook spokesman has mentioned Huffington Post that this is happening soon.

It was only until recent hackathon by facebook that this idea was developed. Most of the media and bloggers are still in a shock with this announcement but it will make sense as of any earlier facebook changes. They hated the timeline when it arrived and now its a must and a better way to go through your friends history.

We all agree to the fact that adding a 'like' for a sad news doesn't feel appropriate. Although many feel that when you like a sad post you are actually supporting the person who made the post and giving him a hand in his grief. So from now on you dont need to add in the like count, instead whenever the sad news is broken out, the like button will be replaced by the sympathize button - atleast this is what we are reading from valid sources.

However stupid it sounds, the sympathize button has already created the roar and it is gathering much attention than usual. Also a good part is that there is plans for introducing a 'dislike' button, that should be a good one though.

However we will have to wait atleast till mid of next year to see any of these changes as facebook has clarified that this is very early stage to confirm any of the changes.

When Walt Disney's daughters begged him to make a movie of their favorite book, P.L. Travers' "Mary Poppins," he made them a promise—one that he didn't realize would take 20 years to keep. In his quest to obtain the rights, Walt comes up against a curmudgeonly, uncompromising writer who has absolutely no intention of letting her beloved magical nanny get mauled by the Hollywood machine. But, as the books stop selling and money grows short, Travers reluctantly agrees to go to Los Angeles to hear Disney's plans for the adaptation.

For those two short weeks in 1961, Walt Disney pulls out all the stops. Armed with imaginative storyboards and chirpy songs from the talented Sherman brothers, Walt launches an all-out onslaught on P.L. Travers, but the prickly author doesn't budge. He soon begins to watch helplessly as Travers becomes increasingly immovable and the rights begin to move further away from his grasp.

It is only when he reaches into his own childhood that Walt discovers the truth about the ghosts that haunt her, and together they set Mary Poppins free to ultimately make one of the most endearing films in cinematic history.

Facebook Face Recognition, Does this answer all privacy concerns?

A German privacy regulator is astonished that Facebook has added facial recognition to a proposed new privacy policy it published on Thursday.

"It is astonishing to find the facial recognition again in the new proposed privacy policy that Facebook published yesterday. We therefore have directly tried to contact officials from Facebook to find out if there is really a change in their data protection policy or if it is just a mistake of translation," Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Johannes Caspar said in an email on Friday.

The Hamburg data protection commissioner, already at odds with Facebook over its use of face recognition technology, reopened its proceedings against the company in August last year, telling the company to either obtain explicit consent for face recognition from users, delete the data, or face a lawsuit, Caspar said at the time.

Facebook turned off facial recognition for all European users in September last year, and said it would delete all face recognition templates for existing users in Europe.

The German commissioner stopped its proceedings against Facebook in February, when it confirmed that the company had deleted the facial recognition data gathered on German users without their consent.
