Heroine Promo Delayed?

Madhur Bhandarkar's dream project 'Heroine' was scheduled to release its promos with Rowdy Rathore, which is releasing by June 1st. But it seems that there is difference in opinion and the promo wont be getting released. The official version of the story is that the director has not completed his shoot for the teaser but the insiders speak that it is the difference between the director and the producer that is delaying it. It is said that Madhur had shot the promo pretty much showing the raw side of actors which wasn't good for the producers who felt it should be more conservative.

Madhur is said to have shot the promo with Kareena doing all crazy stuff, drinking and smoking. This is what made objection from producers. Producers now want Madhur to reshoot it with a milder approach to the subject. A source says "Producers are concerned about the censor board approval and if they find any obscenity in the promos, it will naturally be cut off and the promo might not still have the impact that they wish to offer.".

Madhur is now planning on adding in few more scenes to the promo which should still keep the suspense for the movie even if the censorboard decides to use scissors. The producers still want the promo to be released along with Rowdy Rathore, else they will still have to wait longer to attach the promo to a bigger venture.

Heroine is said to be a more closer approach to the real life star styles and it has made Kareena do most of the activities which she is new to. This includes her drinking and smoking - which is said to be a image changeover for the actress. The movie also stars Arjun Rampal, in yet another strong roles and is expected to be a massive hit when it reaches the screen.

We will wait for June!

Farhan Joins Hands with Aamir

Farhan Akhtar who is busy after his tight schedule at 'Bhag Milkha Bhag' is finally cleaned up from the looks he had kept for the movie. Farhan was recently seen around the capital city when TOI caught up with him and he did spend few hours in chat with the correspondents. Farhan who had a successful run last year both in his acting field with ZNMD and his direction for Don 2 is ambitious about his future projects.

"There is Reema Kagti's film, " Talaash", which is with Aamir, Kareena and Rani that we're producing. Now we're just finalizing projects that we want to do next year so between me and Ritesh (Sidhwani) at Excel, that's what we're doing- short listing directors and scripts that we'd like to work on."  Says Farhan.

Farhan is also concentrating on his future projects and he says that he covers up all his talents under one banner and that is movies. He is happy to have explored his talents through his movies. When asked about his talented personality he says "My focus lies in film in general so what I am producing, going to act in or direct- all my interests are covered under one blanket,".

Between, as the post-production of  'Talaash' continues, there was a strong rumor that the climax of the movie is being re-shot as the actor Aamir Khan wanted it to be different from what was already set. But this has finally fallen dead as Aamir Khan himself has went ahead to clarify this and he says “I have seen the film and it has turned out very well. I’m very happy with Reema’s work. It’s my next release after Dhobi Ghat. And since I couldn’t give the required time for the June release, I requested producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar to push it to November,”

So we might see the third side of Farhaan when the movie Talaash hits the screens and we hope it repeats the same story!

Race 2 : Race Behind Deepika?

It is said that there has been no similar desperate moments for the producers of Race 2, who is actively running behind the cast to get things set for the project. The recent news is that the producers are in need of Deepika Padukone badly. She has however made her plan clear that she doesn't intend to do the movie any more as the previous dates have been wasted and she doesn't wish to be part of it anymore.

Producers have been said to take a step further and have lodged a complaint at the actors association against her and has demanded her to be back in the project, and in reply to this event she has mentioned that she had already granted the dates which went in vain and doesn't want to repeat it further.

So we will still have to wait what Race 2 will become without Deepika, is it that much a need to have her??

While this issue progresses, there has been a new bollywood addition to Rajnikanth-Deepika movie, Kochadiyaan. It will be Jackie Shroff who will be part of this movie following the call by Soundarya, daughter of Rajnikanth and producer of the movie.

So as we can see, Deepika has already a handful of business in her hands, can't blame her for the stance she took against the Race 2 people!!

This is an original movie - SRK

Sharukh Khan is too upset with the latest allegations against his movie Don 2: The Chase Begins at the last moments. There were reports that the writers for Don (Amitabh Bachchan movie) has filed a copyright infringement case against the Excel entertainment crew. As the legal procedures are progressing, SRK has opted to clarify his stand on the issue and have mentioned it thoroughly that the film is original and has nothing to be claimed as a sequel to the Don produced by Nariman Films.

He spoke to the media and said "My producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and I are wondering where such stories come from. Even when we made the original 2006 version of Don; we had done our due diligence and taken whatever permissions where there to be sought from the script point of view. While my producers are best qualified to give a fitting reply to the whole matter, I as a lead actor can say that as for the sequel, the Amitabh Bachchan Don never had a sequel. So where is the question of us copying anything. Farhan and his team have worked on the script, I know for a fact that we haven't copied from anywhere and this is an original script.''

He also mentioned that media should take up some responsibility to avoid such reports being spread over the genuine script as this movie. "The media must also look into the merits of the entire case before reporting. After all many people have worked hard on the script. I have full respect for the media and I know that 99 per cent of the people do not fall for wrong leads; however even that one percent who tend to get swayed must try and hear out both versions of a story". He added.

He further clarified that "Excel Entertainment has not infringed any copyright leave alone that of Don, starring Amitabh Bachchan by producing Don 2. Further, Excel Entertainment is the bona-fide author and owner of copyright of the Films "Don The Chase Begins Again" (i.e. Don 1), which has been confirmed by Nariman Films in writing. Excel is also the owner of the copyrights of Don 2. In 2005, Nariman Films has given rights to Excel Entertainment, in perpetuity, for making "Don The Chase Begins Again".

SRK concluded that "The fact of Excel Entertainment making Don 2 has been in the public domain since 2009. It seems that it has now become a practice to give notices just before release of a film to extract monies. We at Excel Entertainment have done nothing wrong and shall stick to the correct legal and moral principals and defend what is right."

We will have to wait further to see how this unfolds!
