Kareena To Be Prime Minister for Jha

This will be as unique as what Katrina had done in Rajneeti. The latest news is that Kareena has been offered the role of a politician in the movie sequel of 'Rajneeti'. The movie is still on tables but the inclusion of Ajay Devgan to the crew has made this opening possible for Kareena.

The movie Rajneeti, had changed the image of Katrina Kaif as an actress, who used to do bubbly or mostly romantic roles to a serious one and she had handled it quite stunning way. Now it is said that the movie will see Kareena Kapoor playing the prime minister.

A source says "Kareena Kapoor will be seen playing the Prime Minister of India in Prakash Jha’s political sequel. The film is supposed to go on floors by the end of the year, and apparently it was Ajay who suggested that Kareena should play the role. Jha immediately agreed, and after Omkara, it will be her first major performance-oriented role, where she would also be de-glamourised."

We wonder where Katrina will fill in if it is Kareena playing the master role!

After Kareena had moved out of 'Ram-Leela', Sanjay Bhansali movie, she has now said to have given dates to three other movies for the 150 days that she had set aside for Bhansali. The manager of Kareena says that it was always wise to work on three projects in 150 days than to do a single movie.

The other movie that is on floor is Punit Malhotra's movie, which is being produced by Karan Johar and will see Imran Khan once again casted opposite Kareena after 'Ek Main Aur Ek Tu'. A source close to Karan revealed, "She has given preference to Punit's film simply because of Karan. Karan, Punit and Kareena met at the Dharma Productions office in Khar recently. By the end of the lengthy discussion, Karan prevailed upon her and Kareena was convinced about the project."

So finally the 'Heroine' does do away with the vast canvas of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. We wonder who is gonna fill in the space? Anushka Sharma's luck will run again?

Katrina Kaif to rule in Rajneeti 2 - Ranbir out!

Rajneeti was a movie which made its mark in the Indian cinema with its highly glorified shots and some of the outstanding performances of the large star cast. The movie did mark a change in the industry and also was oriented mostly on performances rather than star value. The talent of Prakash Jha in handling the whole crew to the limit was most appreciated. 

He is now planning a sequel to the movie and considering the popular trends of women-centric roles, the movie will be having a female doing the lead and it will be none other than Katrina Kaif. 

In the first part, it was a game of politics in which most of the characters gets killed and the only survivors from the family are Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor and Jha plans to start the movie hence forth. But will Ranbir be seen in its sequel? ""And though Ranbir's character didn't die at the end of Raajneeti, he won't be a part of Rajneeti 2. Again, I will be doing a spin on the Mahabharat, though this time, it will be completely different," says Jha. 

The rumor has it that Ranbir backed out of the project as he did not want to play a side kick to Katrina in the movie but we never know!

For the original, Katrina Kaif not only brushed up her Hindi but also tried to get rid of her heavily anglicized accent. Kat did manage to pull off lengthy Hindi dialogues and gave her best performance in the film. Prakash Jha was very happy with the actress’ effort, and wished to work with her again. 

The filmmaker was quoted saying: "It is very challenging to take the Raajneeti story forward. Most of the main characters are dead. Two-thirds of the characters will be completely new. Katrina (Kaif) will have a central role."

So that is the latest for Katrina after her jam with the three Khans its no stopping for the Queen of Bollywood!
