Big B to play a Pakistani

The latest buzz is thst Bollywood’s Superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be playing the role of a Pakistani citizen in his next movie. The movie will be the directorial debut of Oscar winning sound designer Resul Pookutty.

Resul, along with Richard Pryke and Ian Tapp won the Academy Award for Best Sound Mixing for the film Slumdog Millionaire. He has worked in Hollywood, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam films. He provided sound to 2008’s blockbuster Ghajini.

Resul always wanted to get into direction and wished to cast Big B in his first movie. It was his old classmate Amitabh Singh who approached him with a script for a movie. It is said that the script’s subject touched Resul so much that he immediately decided to direct it with Mr. Bachchan in it.

Resul said, “I have approached Mr Bachchan for the film that I want to direct. The character is from another country. But it is not a political film. It’s an extremely humane subject that touches the lives of people on both sides of the border.”

According to the sources the film doesn’t talk about the two countries’ issues with each other but is about the sensitive topic of father –son relationship.

Meanwhile Big B is busy with Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 7.

Freida Pinto Not Married!

The strong rumor about Frieda Pinto's marriage has been broken by herself. The news was that Frieda is going to marry her first co-star Dev Patel, the couple had acted together in the movie 'Slumdog Millionaire' and they have been thick friends since then. The talents of both actors were highly appreciated during the time and was an attraction to the Oscar circle. The closeness of the two had brought about this rumor which had been quite seriously taken in by everyone.

Yesterday, Frieda mentioned that she is still single and the news about her marriage is false!

She said that she were good friends and she had one of the best times of her life while shooting for Slumdog millionaire, and this bond with Dev Patel is stronger than any other friendship she have. But she mentioned that they are still separate and the answer to marriage question was no, but she also teased the media by mentioning that it doesn't mean that she wont marry him later!

So be it her DNA test (more) or the latest news, she does seem to be keeping in touch with the media and more importantly keeping the limelight!

Freida Pinto's DNA Test

Should you really try this hard?

Freida Pinto, the movie 'slumdog millionaire' star has been in news for her broken relationships, the alleged bare-it-all movies and now she is coming back to the news and this again is not for her movie career, this is for her to find her lineage. She is allegedly going to do a DNA test to find out the details. Speaking to the media Pinto said:

She is often mistaken for her surname 'Pinto' which is typical to Portuguese people. There has also been claims that Freida is having an ethnicity from Portuguese. The actress doesn't feel this right and mentions that she doesn't like to be claimed by other nations. On her recent trips to Istanbul too, there were many conversations made that  Pinto was never an Indian Name.

The actress mentions that she is from Manglore, a South Indian town, which does have many Catholic families residing and these were the ones who had been living there since the British Rule, she also adds that there were many forced conversions happening during the colonial rule which should have applied to her forefathers too. She is already trying hard to explain this part.

She went ahead and mentioned that she would even do a DNA test to gather the lineage and she hopes that she might be a Hindu origin girl, instead of her current status.

We never know! Should one try this hard for a simple issue? Freida believe so!
