Rajinikanth's Kochadiyaan First Teaser Out!

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is back on silver screen after a hiatus of almost two years in Kochadaiiyaan. The film's first teaser was released today with a tagline "There are heroes, there are superheroes but there is only one Rajinikanth."

Directed by Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya R Ashwin, the Tamil period film has music by A R Rahman. The film will mark Soundarya's debut as a director.

The first teaser gives us a glimpse of warrior Rajinikanth, who will be seen in a double role. Film's lead actress Deepika Padukone has been shielded for a while now.

His daughter tweeted about the trailer, she wrote: ":):) This is it!!! Happy vinayakar chaturti .. .. . Here's presenting to you the teaser of @Kochadaiiyaan."

Kochadaiiyaan also stars R Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff and Nassar.

Kochadaiiyaan has been reportedly made on a budget of over Rs.100 crore and has been jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment.

The movie will be dubbed and simultaneously released in Telugu (as "Vikrama Simha"), Malayalam and English.

The film will hit theatres this October.

Talaash Promos Hits the right note

When the first trailer of Talaash was released, unfortunately it did not show the suspense element or gave an idea to the audience on what to expect, but this negative point has been resolved in the current trailer that was released. The movie clearly shows what the 'Talaash' is about and how the sync of characters happen. It just clarifies the point that this is not a male version of 'Kahaani' nor it mentions that it needs 'Satyamev Jayate' for promotions.

The movie trailer is trending at the moment but very away from 'Jab Tak Hain Jaan'. The movie 'Talaash' has been in news for all the good and bad reasons, starting from the fall off between the director Reema Katgi and Aamir Khan to the latest cameo controversy which involved Rajnikanth. But it seems that Farhan Akhtar's magic did away with the issues between the actor and director and has also resolved the controversial cameo affair with Rajnikanth. The movie is now all set to release on November 30th this year. 

The film which is touted by the trade circles to be one of the most-awaited ones, also star actors Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji. While Rani plays Aamir’s wife in the film, Kareena’s role is apparently that of a commercial sex worker. This will be the second film in which Kareena (who earlier played a CSW in Chameli) portrays the role of a prostitute.

Nawazudding Siddiqui and Rajkumar Yadav also gets to play great roles in the movie which surely shows that it is packed with action and fun. The trailer of the film will be shown along with ‘Barfi!’ and ‘Heroine’ in theatres.

It will also be great to see Aamir back in uniform after a long period and fans are already excited. Aamir Khan is currently in Chicago shooting for his movie Dhoom 3 and this release seems to be the mastermind of the actor.

Rajnikanth not happy with Aamir Khan's crew

Rajnikanth is no item number material! That is what the sources close to the legend says. They are extremely unhappy about the recent rumors that has been spreading out. Right out from the start, Rajni's manager and crew had denied any such item number or cameo for 'Talaash' but the rumors never died out, it was even mentioned that Rajnikanth was offered a sum of Rs. 15 crore to do the song! The actor is currently working with Kochadiyaan, the movie which is said to be an epic in the history of cinema. The venture is directed by his daugher and the crew says that Rajini's entire focus is on Kochadaiyaan and he is working tirelessly to make sure that the film with its groundbreaking special effects turn out perfectly. Aamir Khan also clarified that they have not approached Rajini for any item number though he would love to work with him if ever a suitable opportunity presented itself.

Update on Talaash

Meanwhile the camp of 'Talaash' is still waiting on the date to release the movie. There is also a rumor that the split between Aamir Khan and Reema Kagti is the cause for the delay. But producer Ritesh Sidhwani is least amused. "How can there be a spat between Aamir and Reema when we have already locked the edit? In fact, we have also commenced recording the background score of the film two days back, which wouldn't be possible if Aamir and Reema were embroiled in a fight over the final content of the film," Ritesh clarifies, "As a matter of fact, we are in the process of launching the second trailer of the film." The proposed date for the release of the movie is no November 30, but with the current commitments of Aamir, it is speculated that the movie wont hit screens until 2013. The news is that Aamir Khan is still out at Dhoom 3 sets and will have limited time to spend on promotions of the movie. But the producer again comes up with a stronger point! 

"Let me begin by confirming the release date of the film. It's 30 November. That's final. There's no postponement at all. As for Aamir shooting non-stop for DHOOM 3, yes, he is. But he's back in India in the last week of October, so we will have an entire month to promote our film. Isn't one month of solid promotion enough for an Aamir Khan starrer?"

Yes sir, we dont even need that month promotions, just release it! :sigh:

Rajnikanth for Talaash - Item Number

Forget Dhoom 3, its Talaash that is going to see the superstar Rajnikanth doing a cameo, or most probably will have him. The cameo which is said to be formulated on a massive budget of 50 crores and to be shot across 200 countries and is said to show up various celebrities, if the sources are to be believed. The movie Talaash, which had been postponed due to various reasons and commitments, seems to be adding up new details to itself.

The cameo will be shot in exotic locations and the crew is planning to do this over 50 locations across various countries. The rumor has it that Rajnikanth has charged a whooping sum of Rs. 15 crore for the song. 

Speaking to TOI, the spokesperson for Rajnikanth says that there has been no such schedule for the actor who is currently completing, Kochadiyan, which is another humongous project for the star. The spokesperson also added "No one has approached Rajini sir in this regard yet."

The movie Kochadiyaan, which is said to be released by the end of the year is been shot at full thrust, so the new rumors might be just another publicity stunt. 

But it seems that there are lot of fans who would love to see the duo together, atleast for a cameo!

Rajnikanth in Dhoom 3

If rumours are to be believed Super star Rajnikanth is likely to be seen in Dhoom 3. The Perfectionist Aamir Khan wants Rajinikanth in his next film ‘Dhoom 3’. If things work out then Rajinikanth will be seen doing the role of a baddie.

An source said that, “Aamir is working extremely hard on perfecting his body as he plays a gymnast in the film. He is the villain, but apparently there is scope for one more negative character in the film. And this is where everyone thought to take the Dhoom franchise to the next level, if they can get the superstar for this role it will really be bigger and better for the film.”

The source added, “Rajini sir has a mass following, which is very tough to beat for any of the actors in B-Town. He is extremely popular not just in India but also in other countries. Also his on-screen style and persona is impeccable and hence if Aamir wants to work with the superstar it is well understood. Other stars who’ve worked with Rajini include A-listers Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan. Aamir has always been an ardent admirer of the superstar, and would also like to share screen space with him, as other A-listers have before him.”

Dhoom series centres around bike chases, handsome thieves and daring theft plans. On 2 February 2011, Yash Raj Films confirmed that the third installment of the series would go on floors at the end of 2011 and planned for a Christmas 2012 release, though now it is releasing early 2013 due to extensive post production. 

The film will feature Aamir Khan playing a negative character while Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will reprise their roles of Jai and Uday. Rani Mukherjee will star in a pivotal role. Katrina Kaif will also be a part of the film. Dhoom 3 will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The story will take place ten years after the events of Dhoom and eight after the events of Dhoom 2.

Salman Ponders and Vivek Digs!

There are two ways to get famous - either do something seriously classic that your work gets appreciated without any flaws, the second one is easy and quick, dig on someone that is famous and if your dig clicks then that would naturally increase your publicity. This is not the funda we have created, but it is Vivek Oberoi that is trying this trick over, the well worked trick of picking on Salman to get into the news and be noticed for his upcoming movie 'Sher'.

The actor had recently done a perss conference for his upcoming campaign, he decided to talk about 'Sher' his upcoming movie which is directed by Soham Shah. When reporters teased him with the movie having a comparison with the title 'Ek Tha Tiger' he smiled and replied "We are all wild enthusiasts. And as far as my knowledge goes, I think 'Sher' is bigger than 'Tiger'."

When reminded about Salman's other upcoming film titled Sher Khan, Vivek said, "It is a good thing... the city is filled with 'Sher(s)'."

Vivek Oberoi is staritng up the campaign against smoking 'Cigarette Bhujao Life Banao' which is to be launched on World Tobacco day. When asked about the smoking habits of leading stars like Salman and Shahrukh, he safely escaped the question saying "I know that they acknowledge that smoking is bad habit. But it's an individual decision."

The differences between Salman and Vivek had started when Vivek had dated Aishwariya Rai, Salman's ex-flame.

Sallu Ponders

No this is not on Vivek Oberoi, but it is for the Telugu remake of Dabaang - Gabbar Singh. The film directed by Harris Shankar with Pawan Kalyan in the lead is an all-round hit in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and the overseas markets.

Unlike the original, where Salman plays a Robin Hood-like supercop, the Telugu version shows Pawan as an upright policeman. Taking out the grey shades from Pawan’s character in the Telugu version worked wonders.

The movie did have few additional scenes which seems to have impressed the actor. A source said, “Salman liked the antakshari and a few other scenes and wants to use them in Dabbang 2. He might approach producer Ganesh”.

Earlier Rajnikanth had also appreciated Gabbar Singh and had quoted that he liked the movie very much.

Kochadaiyaan flies to Kerala!

Kochadaiyaan, the animation project from Soundarya Rajnikanth (Soundarya R. Ashwin) is in progress as the crew of the movie has already landed in Thiruvananthapuram for their second schedule of shoots. The crew will also be monitoring the animation parts of the movie which is being developed in Thiruvananthapuram. At the moment it is the production crew and Soundarya who is in Kerala overseeing the updates made on to animations. But the crew will soon be joined by the Superstar Rajnikanth and lead lady in the movie Deepika Padukone. 

The source close to the crew says "Yes, the schedule is set for 3 days of shooting with the actors in Thiruvanathapuram and our production house is already managing the animation aspects for the movie without the lead actors". The movie crew will be in Kerala for around 15 days including the 3 day schedule as they will have to proceed with the technical aspects of the production.

The movie is created using the motion capture technology which was used by James Cameroon in 'Avatar' and Steven Speilberg in 'Adventures of Tin Tin'

"We are working on the animation without the artists as of now. Rajini sir, who is in Mumbai, will be here for two days and Deepika will be joining us soon too. We will be shooting here after they come in." adds in the source. 

Kochadaiyaan is a period movie and will have animated characters. The movie is set to be dubbed in 7 different languages. The movie is written by famous director K. S. Ravikumar, and will also have actors  R. Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff and Nassar starring with Rajnikanth. Cinematography handled by Rajiv Menon whilst background score and soundtrack will be composed by A. R. Rahman. The movie will also be released in Japanese along with other Indian Languages.

The movie also posts in a song sung by Rajnikanth after 21 years, penned by Vairamuthu.

Dhanush to make his Bollywood debut soon !!!

The son-in-law of South superstar Rajinikanth, Dhanush is all set to make his debut in Bollywood in director Aanand L Rai’s movie which will be called 'Raanjhana'.

'The Kolaveri guy' became a celebrity overnight after his song kolaveri di which became highly popular among the youth. Dhanush, who till now had acted only in South films, had expressed his interest to star in a Bollywood film and was finalized to star in Raanjhana.

It is said that the makers of Raanjhana have offered the female lead role to Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam Kapoor. But nothing has been finalised as she already has a couple of projects to finish. Sonam Kapoor could only do the movie if her date matches with Dhanush's film and she is working out on it.

'Raanjhana' is said to be a romantic entertainer and Dhanush is said to be playing the role of a Brahmin boy, whose life undergoes alot of change after he comes across a beautiful girl. Meanwhile, Dhanush is learning Hindi to get his act right in the movie.

Amitabh Bachchan Returns !!!

Superstar Rajinikanth is not the only one back to work after his illness. Big B, who underwent a couple of surgeries recently, will be back shooting sooner than expected. 

He will soon begin shooting for his famous quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati’s new season (Season Six). Big B will host the sixth season of the television show that will go on air in mid 2012. Producer of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Siddharth Basu, said, "Yes, Mr Bachchan will host the forthcoming season of KBC. I intend working with him on this show even for the seventh season. The actor will begin with shooting promos first." 

Bachchan was well received in KBC 5, winning hearts of viewers all over again and has a contract to do one more season of the popular quiz show. It is said that "Mr Bachchan had signed a two-year contract on KBC in 2011. However, after the two hernia surgeries, people wondered whether he would be able to take up the grueling assignment of hosting a daily television show. But now, he has confirmed with the broadcasters that he will indeed shoot for the show." 

Amitabh Bachchan will be soon seen shooting for the promos of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season Six.

Bachchan's rich baritone and his inimitable style had made the quiz show an instant hit with the audience. After a break of one year, the superstar had returned to the show and has played the host every year.

Just out of hospital, he was seen clad in a kurta-pyjama and shawl in a picture posted by him on Twitter. He said, “The Sunday well wishers! Constant and so regular… touched… walked down to greet them,” adding, “Thank you people of love. I have no other expression but this for gratitude… Walking out for the first time after hospital… not recommended, but for well wishers, a must.”

Deepika goes Dark !!!

Bollywood Actress and brand ambassador of Johnson & Johnson's Neutrogena Fine Fairness cream Deepika Padukone who replaced Katrina Kaif in Rajnikanth's Kochadaiyaan, for her role will have to match her skin tone with that of the super star to make it look natural. 

Deepika will have to get her complexion several shades darker and she is all set to undergo some digital touch ups to match superstar Rajnikanth's skin tone. For the filmmakers colour-coordinated outfits in the three romantic songs to be shot in London during the next couple of weeks, wasn't enough. Hence such a decision was taken to increase their on-screen compatibility. Deepika sportingly agreed when she was suggested that her skin colour should be toned down. Bollywood dimple girl Deepika says "she is quite excited to undergo any changes in herself"

A source close to the project said that, "We're applying a special imported technique to the film wherein the actors' looks, including their skin-tone, has to be compatible. In Kochadaiyyan, the demands of digitalized film-making are different. Deepika's complexion is many shades lighter than Rajiniji's. Deepika flew to Chennai for the 'looks' test. After comparing her skin-tone to Rajinikanth's, it will be digitally darkened to match his".

Dr Murli Manohar, the co-producer of the movie said, "The demands and dynamics of the technique known as 'performance-capturing' that we're using for the first time in Indian cinema are different. It requires many adjustments and modulation in the actors' on-screen performance and personality. Deepika has an important role. She is completely in-sync with the unique technique and willing to do whatever is required."

The film Kochadaiyaan directed by Rajnikanth’s daughter Soundarya and written by K.S Ravi Kumar, will be made in 3D. The movie will be one of the most expensive movies made in the country as it will be made with the technology used to make the Hollywood movies like ‘The Adventures of Tin Tin’ and ‘Avatar’. Talking about the look of Rajni, he will be seen with long hair tied into a ponytail and fine-toned '8 pack abs'. Rajinikanth will be seen performing a 3-minute taandav in Kochadaiyyan for the first time. Rajinikanth's tandav too would be digitally enhanced.

When G.One met Chitti Robo @ Chennai

hahrukh Khan meets Rajinikanth in Chennai. The super heroes of reels had their chat for 15 minutes and parted their ways. The event happened on the occasion of Ra.One music launch held at Chennai where the Badshaah of Bollywood had visited the Super Mega Star Rajinikanth.

The Ra.One stars are glittering around with the latest promo showing up the real face of the villain, Ra.One, played by Arjun Rampal. Shahrukh is not leaving any stones turned as the release dates are rushing in. There is more surprise in the bag as we will be able to see Rajinikanth back in the 'Robo' costume as he had done in the movie 'Robot'.

It will be a treat for the fans when G.One, the character played by Shahrukh Khan meets up the 'Robo' Rajinikanth. Its hard to be Rajnikanth - Salman Khan

Salman Khan shows his respect

With his recent genre of movies which are usually filled with action and romance and a tinge of comedy, the film fraternity has already started comparing him to the Super star Rajnikanth. Rajnikanth has been known for his super action, thunderous dialogues and good witted characters in South movies. His movies are always categorized as a special genre. When this trend was seen in the latest Salman Flick's the reporters were forced to ask the question.

They mentioned that his current role is gonna make him the 'Rajnikanth of Bollywood'. He humbly denied this and said that it will take him a 20 years of hardwork to reach anywhere near the Superstar Ranjnikanth. Also he mentioned that Rajni stands miles high and he doesn't wish to give a run at that. Further added that he is happy with what he has at the moment and will love to keep the status.

Salman has been having a mixed life with his movies for the past decade until the Prabhudeva directed movie 'Wanted' released, which turned out to be a super duper success. This was an adaptation to Telugu Movie 'Pokiri'. Further he went ahead with his home production on 'Dabaang', which was even more action packed with stunts out of this world. Now the latest is the directorial debut of Siddique to bollywood, a hit maker in Malayalam Movie Industry.

Rajnikanth wont Do actions Sequences!

Rajnikanth will not do Actions!

The superstar has been known for his action sequences dance moves and style! But the 'Ranaa' shoots will miss the action by the star, the recent reports mention that Rajnikanth wont be doing any action sequences in the movie. During his treatment in Singapore, he is said to have undergone a kidney transplant which is currently preventing him from doing so.

The sources mention that earlier the director of the movie K.S. Ravikumar had already shot the action sequences in the movie with the stunt double for the superstar, but Rajnikanth during his treatment at Singapore insisted that he will like to do the action himself. Unfortunately with the twist of fates, the action sequences will be continued by the double.

We hope the movie wont loose its essence due to this change!

Rajnikanth the new Buddah?

Remake in the waiting?

Puri Jaganath, a famous director from the south movie industry had made into the larger screen of Hindi Film Industry with his Amitabh Bachchan starrer Buddah Hoga Tera Baap, which went ahead to be a big success and also changed the style towards the legend, Amitabh Bachchan.

Following his success, Puri is now all set to remake the movie in Tamil starring the superstar Rajnikanth. The reports mention that Puri will be approaching Rajnikanth soon and the movie will start as soon as Ranaa shoots complete. The current reports are that Ranaa will resume shooting by September.

Deepika to Meet Rajnikanth

Super Star returns!

Rajnikanth is back on the soil and he did receive the love and affection of his fans right from the airport. He is said to have been awaited by thousands of fans with pooja thali's and garlands. He is close to god in Chennai and it was a festival organized for his return.

Rajnikanth was recently sent to Singapore following a liver infection during the shoots of his movie Ranaa, the crew had paused the schedule and waited for one month long for the return of the actor. The sources close to Rajnikanth mentions that it is not with the full consent of doctors he has managed to come back! Thats the Rajini style!

Reports mention that one month long rest was making the superstar uneasy as he missed his friends and family and also the millions of fans!

Following the return, Deepika has called the Superstar and has confirmed that she will be ready for the shoot anytime when he is to restart the schedule. She has also expressed the urge to meet the actor and she should be meeting him soon in Chennai.

The crew of Ranaa is all set to start by the start of September. We can't wait for the movie to release!!

Super Star Returns tomorrow!

Rajnikanth Returns!

The rumours has been strong from most reliable sources that the superstar will be arriving back to Chennai. The reports say that his daughter Aishwariya Rajnikanth has already took the flight to Singapore where the superstar is undergoing treatment due to infections caused during his shoot for Ranaa.

The sources also confirm that his son-in-law, Dhanush is also boarding the flight tonight and there is a booking of tickets for tomorrow for the complete crew back to Chennai. We really can't wait for his return.

Director of the movie K. S. Ravikumar has confirmed that he is busy carrying out the various works on the movie and it should all be ready while the superstar returns to the sets. The superstar was undergoing treatment for the past one month and is said to have regained full health.

We wish superstar a very hearty welcome.

RajniKanth calling Deepika!

Can't wait for Ranaa To Start - Rajnikanth

Rajnikanth while recovering from his illness during the shoot of Ranaa is now making overseas calls to get the crew back in the act. He is reported to have called the director of the movie K S Ravikumar and have also contacted the lyricist, legengary Vairamuthu. Finally the call came in on to the bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone, who is acting as lady love in the movie.

Since the change of dates on Ranaa, Deepika has re-scheduled her dates to different project but reports assure that Deepika will make herself free as soon as Rajni is back for the shoot. 

Rajini is hopeful to start the shoot of the movie by September of this year.
