Bollywood doesn’t really have many films in its kitty when it comes to animated flicks. But after the famous movies like Bal ganesh and Hanuman, Krishna and Kans is one entertainer to watch out for!

We are well versed with the story, the plot is old and even the characters are well known. Yet no one is complaining as this old mythological story turned 3D animated movie exhibits freshness! According to the review, the baccha party loved the movie and their mummies & daddies are saying paisa vasool!

But what the good news for all the kiddos is that a new mobile game inspired from the movie is going to be launched on the eve of Janmashtami on Friday. The game will allow the player to be lord Krishna and help villagers reach out to their children, kidnapped by demons.

‘Krishna Aur Kans’ got released in over three hundred and fifty screens across the world last week in stereoscopic 3D and digital 2D, marking a milestone in the Indian animated industry with the highest number of prints distributed for any Indian animated feature film.

Directed by Vikram Veturi and produced by Reliance Animation, the film has an impressive cast consisting of Juhi Chawla, Prachi Save, Manoj Bajpayee, Om Puri, Anupam Kher, A.K. Hangal, Mukesh Khanna, Sachin and Supriya Pilgaokar who lent their voices for the film.
With over 1200 artists contributed towards the production of the film, the film's production has taken a colossal five and a half years. The success of the film goes to its makers who have showcased the tale we all have been listening to since years in an amazing way!

Because of its roaring success it’s been declared tax-free in six states – Punjab, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Kerala, Chattisgarh.

The launch of the game was deliberately planned around Janmashtami.

"We wanted to participate in the celebration of Janmashtami by creating a game based on Krishna, and this movie gives us a perfect platform to engage with the casual gamers across markets,"said Chaitanya Prabhu, business head, Jump Games India

The Krishna Aur Kans game will be available on all leading mobile platforms like Android, Blackberry and Symbian, across all leading mobile operators.

The voice against malpractices in Education!

Prakash Jha often counted on to develop stories around the society and who views to bring about change in the society with his movies is back with his latest venture, Aarakshan. The movie dissipate the sensitive subject of comercialization of education system. The movie hopes to bring an awakening trend among the citizens of india to change the system that would be worst in the future.

Speaking to the media, Jha told that there are numerous malpractices that has got into the

education system be it the grooming sessions or paid tutions to ensure a higher rank. The industry as he speaks current weight Rs 400000 crore, which gets students to pay high fees to gain access to such colleges and then develop themselves there. So he mentions that the Government of India should have a insight on where the education system leads its citizen.

He mentioned that the reservation system based on caste should be removed as this was formulated with the insight of bringing up the backward castes, the current reservations are creating lesser seats and greater competition among students to avail the seats.

He hopes his movie highlights the ill practices and make the society and the Government think over its current educational policies.  He also added that he keeps track of the changes in society and if there is a good subject available he will surely try to portray in the movie.

Aarakshan gets U/A certificate

End to Controversies over Aarakshan

Aarakshan has been much discussed over and there had been rumors that the movie will have a hard time at the censor board to get the certification ready. But dropping down all ill hopes, Aarakshan has got it clean without any cuts from censor board. It is reported that there was fairly larger group of judges at the bench when the movie was previewed. This included senior members from various committees and commissions.

BigB was the first one to announce this good news, he had tweeted and also written a blog on the event and he is excited about the release. Amitabh Bachchan writes that this is quite a commendable effort by the director of the movie, Prakash Jha and his film to get clean from the much awaited censor preview!

The movie speaks about the much controversial affects of reservation in education and employment based on Caste. The movie gives in the theme that there shouldn't be any discrimination based on caste in the society and be helped based on the financial security. The movie also gives in the idea of giving equal education and opportunities to students and allow them to excel over.

Controversies started when the National Commission for Scheduled Castes requested the director to give in a preview of the movie prior to censorship, but Jha refused to show the movie to anyone but censor board.

The movie will also star Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Prateik Babbar and Manoj Bajpayee playing pivotal roles

Aarakshan - The movie

Another movie aiming change!

Another movie for the realistic National Integration, a movie that foresee how the society can change to bring about the state of unity. This may be regarded as a dream but the movie 'Aarakshan' visualizes it.

Amitabh Bachchan plays the lead role in the movie and he is of the opinion that it is the Indian Film Industry where there is no Aarakshan or reservations based on class/community/religion. He continued that when you fall in queue for purchasing a ticket for a movie or when you enjoy a humor scene or cry for a sentiment shared by Hero, people dont look if it is a Hindu/Muslim/Christian that stands with you or enjoys the moment with you at the theater. He went ahead to say that this was the greatest example he could find of national integration!

The movie Aarkshan is directed by Prakash Jha and alongside Mr. Bachchan, there will be Saif Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpai, Deepika Padukone, Pratieik Babbar and Tanvi Azmi playing key roles in the movie. The movie discusses the removal of rules of discriminating people based on Religion, Caste and Community for jobs and educational institutions.

Amit ji also gave a sneak preview of his role in the movie and mentioned that he is playing a head of a private institution in this movie and keeps a principle that everyone should be treated equal. When this was not exercised in the school, he runs classes at home where he teaches students and treat them as equals. The movie finally shows that when given equal opportunities and classes every student is capable of shining bright.

Aarakshan is set to be released by August 12th, 2011
