Esha's grand reception

Actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini hosted a grand reception for their daughter and new son-in-law in Mumbai on Saturday night.

Esha married fiance Bharat Takthani on Friday 29th June, 2012 in a traditional south Indian style wedding.

The reception was held on 30th June, 2012. It was a European style reception with celestial white decor, that translated into the use of crystals and over one lakh white roses. The grand reception was held at a suburban five star hotel. Esha looked stunning in the outfit she clad which was designed by Rocky S, a quaint rose pink corset teamed with Swarovski studded mermaid style lehenga in matching hues. The groom Bharat Takhtani was donned in a black suit with a white shirt designed by Simone. 

Dharmendra said that, "I am very happy that my daughter has got married and it is her reception today. I have got a very nice son-in-law."

Hema Malini, who was looking gorgeous in a cream emroidered sari which was designed by designer Neeta Lulla.

More than 1000 people, including politicians, corporate personalities and the Bollywood celebs like veteran actors Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu, Jeetendra with wife Shobha Kapoor and son Tushar Kapoor, Sanjay Khan, new Rajya Sabha MP Rekha, and Zeenat Aman. A little younger group included stars like Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit with her hubby Dr. Nene, Sushmita Sen, Tabu, Kajol, Tanuja, Tanisha, Mandira Bedi, Anupam Kher, Fardeen Khan Zayed Khan and Sridevi with Bobby Kapoor. Salman Khan, who had taken charge of Esha's wedding celebrations, was also present. 

Actress Saira Banu, who was wearing an orange sari, said that, "We are very happy for Esha and Bharat. We wish them good luck and this is going to be very happy for them."

While Bollywood celebs started arriving after 10 pm, the earlier part of the evening saw political biggies arriving to bless the couple.

From the political gang senior BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Raj Thackeray, Sushma Swaraj, LK Advani, Uddhav Thackeray, Amar Singh, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Narayan Rani, Suresh Kalmadi and many others were present.

Hema Malini's younger daughter Ahaana was spotted sporadically with her friends.

Inside the main venue, a separate passageway was made to take VIP guests straight to the stage. While Dharmendra dutifully carried out his responsibilities as the father of the bride, guests just couldn't resist shaking hands with him, and posing for pictures with him.

In between meeting guests, Esha was seen jiggying to the live music there. Unfortunately, it seems that with the sheer number of guests waiting to meet them, Bharat and Esha couldn't manage to hit the dance floor.

Esha Deol all set to tie the knot

India Violet brings you all the details of this year's second Big Fat Indian Wedding of Bollywood. Esha Deol and Bharat Thaknani's four day Royal wedding starts with the Sangeet on 25th June followed by the Mehandi ceremony on 28th June, wedding on 29th June and finally the grand wedding reception which will be held on 30th June.

Sangeet

The Sangeet function will be Red and Black Disco themed. It will be held at a five star hotel in Mumbai. Esha will be seen wearing a red-orange-indigo ghaghra choli which will be designed by Rocky S. It will be an intimate celebration with about 200 guests in attendance.

Mehendi

The Mehandi ceremony will be held on 28th June, 2012 at Hema Malini's Juhu residence. Around 150 guest (women) from B-Town will be present. Popular mehendi artist Veena and her team will design Esha and Bharat's mehendi, after which Bharat will give Esha gold bangles. In the evening, there will be a mehendi party at a suburban club. Esha will wear a mango-coloured lehenga-choli designed by Neeta Lulla, while Bharat will wear a yellow and brown sherwani with a waistcoat. 

Wedding

The wedding will be on 29th June 2012. Esha will tie the knot at Iskcon temple in Juhu. Esha will be dressed in a red and gold silk kanjeevaram saree while the groom will be seen in a white sherwani with gold zariwork. Only family members and close friends will be present for the wedding.

Reception

The reception will be held on 30th June, 2012. It will be a European style reception with celestial white decor. It will be held at a suburban five star hotel. Esha Deol to marry in a temple

Actors Hema Malini and Dharmendra's elder daughter Esha Deol is all set to tie the knot with her fiance Bharat Takhtani on 29th June 2012. Buzz is that the wedding will  be held at a temple located in suburban Mumbai.

Hema Malini said that, “We are very happy and excited. The preparations have started. The wedding will take place on June 29 at a temple. We wanted to have the wedding in a temple”.

She added, "It is not possible to have the wedding at our home. We chose a temple because it is a perfect place for matrimony. We want the wedding to be a comparatively private affair with relatives and close friends from both sides in attendance."

The wedding is likely to be a private affair which will then be followed by a grand reception on the next day. The reception will be held on 30th June at a suburban five star hotel where big shots from both Bollywood and political background will be present.  

Hema Malini said that, "We both lead a double life. We are actors and politicians. So we'll have lots of guests at the reception from the film industry and politics. The reception will take place on June 30 at a five star hotel. We just want best wishes and love from everyone.”

She added, "Mine was a very quiet wedding, with no shor-sharaba. I want an elaborate wedding for my daughter. Dharamji and I need everyone's good wishes." 

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani, a Bandra based businessman were dating each other for 13 months. The couple was often spotted together at the hot spots of the city. Esha Deol then got engaged to Bharat on 12th February 2012 at Hema Malini and Dharmendra's bungalow in Juhu.

Sunidhi Chahuhan's wedding reception

On April 27, 2012, Sunidhi Chauhan tied the knot childhood friend and music composer Hitesh Sonik at a low profile wedding ceremony in Mumbai. But the couple threw a bash for their friends and family members.

The reception saw several singers and composers like Kunal Ganjawala, Shaan with his wife, Raghav Sachar, Lalit Pandit, Anu Malik, Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik, Asha Bhonsle, Vishal Dadlani, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Hard Kaur and Udit Narayan. Others present at the do included Ranvir Shorey who came in with wife Konkona Sen Sharma, Javed Jaffrey, Farah Khan, Sonali Kulkarni, Pankaj Kapur with wife Supriya Pathak and Ganesh Hegde among many others.

Sunidhi Chauhan is an Indian playback singer who began to sing at the age of four. She won recognition through a televised singing contest, Meri Awaz Suno, which she won, and made her entrance into playback singing with the Hindi film Shastra. She is known for her Hindi film songs in Bollywood and has also recorded songs for Marathi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Assamese and Gujarati films.

At the age of 18 in the year 2002 she ran away with director and choreographer Bobby Khan, after working on the music video for "Pehla Nasha." There were reports that the couple married in a secretly arranged ceremony, attended only by very close friends and vigilantly watched over by security.

They were initially happy with the marriage. In an interview, she even said that, "My in-laws don't make me feel I am 'married'. I don't feel I have stepped into a new house. I am so comfortable. And Bobby is a darling. I am very, very happy."

But later the marriage caused a rift between her and her parents, who considered the union unsuitable and consequently disowned her and Sunidhi and Bobby separated a year later, bringing about a reconciliation between the estranged parents and daughter. Sunidhi who used to live with mentor, actor and TV anchor, Annu Kapoor and his wife Arunita during the separation and she filed for divorce the same year.

This is the second time that the singer is getting married and we hope that this union brings them lots of luck.

Another Big Fat Indian Wedding !!!

Dheeraj Deshmukh (S/o Vilas Rao Deshmukh and brother of actor Ritesh Deshmukh)  tied the knot with Honey Bhagnani ( D/o Vashu Bhagnani and sister of Jackky Bhagnani) at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai on February 27, 2012.

The sangeet ceremony took place at the same venue on Saturday night, the Bhagnani’s had an elaborate mehendi ritual in place at Hotel Taj Lands End. The wedding was a Maharashtrian affair, while the ceremonies were a mix of both Maharashtrian and Sindhi traditions, which was later followed by a grand reception held at The Grand Hyatt.

Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza were baraatis at Dhiraj Deshmukh’s wedding.  The groom, Dheeraj, made an impact with his entry into the premises on a horse, as Amit Deshmukh and other family members danced merrily. Ritesh and Genelia danced and showed off their movies to the beats of dhols at brother Dheeraj's wedding. Deepshikha the bride was looking happy. Deepshikha's parents Vashu and Puja Bhagnani along with her brother Jackky welcomed the baraatis. The bride and groom were dressed in traditional Maharashtrian finery.

Actor Ritesh Deshmukh and actress Geneilia D Souza, who tied the knot on February 4, 2012 postponed their honeymoon plans to attend this wedding. People from both B-town and Political side were present to bless the couple. Bollywood celebrities who attended the sangeet ceremony included Salman Khan, Jackie Shroff, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra, Jaya Bachchan, Diya Mirza, Govinda, Ekta Kapoor and Jitendra Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Ashish Chowdhary, Samita, Ramesh Taurani, Sophie Choudry, David, Lali Dhawan, Subhash Ghai and Sanjay Gadhvi. Also, Politicians who were seen are Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan with wife Satvasheela, Raj and Sharmila Thackeray, SM Krishna, Chhagan Bhujbal, Praful Patel and others.

Dheeraj Deshmukh and Honey Bhagnani’s wedding reception was no less than a star-studded affair. Bollywood was present in full force. 

This was second wedding at the Deshmukh’s residence within a span of less then a month after Riteish and Genelia’s wedding.
