Common among writers, it is the state when a person or a group identifies an author under a different name. It just doesn't stop at writers, but it is usually literature that brings in pseudonym.
Its also common in political writing, blogs, internet and website forums. These are usually to hide their identity and remain anonymous. This may also include a safer way to escape the legal issues.

Usage:
- I did a lot of pseudonymous writing during this period...
- Unless Olliver was playing a doubly pseudonomous game, the cipher was no good.
