The south remake of 'Dabaang' starring Simbu will see Mallika Sherawat doing the item number for the movie. She will be doing the song which was made famous by Malaika Arora Khan, Munni Badnaam Hui. The news earlier was that the role was confirmed with Katrina Kaif, but this seems to be a new turn!
The lead actor in the movie, Simbu said "We had approached Katrina Kaif and Vidya Balan for the role but due to the tight schedule of their dates, they couldn't do it. The producers then approached Mallika Sherawat and she has agreed to do the song". Simbu also added that both Kats and Vidya were eager for doing the song but they had their restrictions.
Although this is not the first song Mallika has done in south, earlier she had done a cameo for 'Dasavatharam' a movie by Kamal Hasan. The latest news is that she is given a ransom for doing this item number and the song shoot is scheduled by the end of this month at Hyderabad.
