I think SRK will suit the role better - Gautham

In :

Gautham Menon will be doing the remake of 'Raghavan' the telugu movie, which was again a remake of tamil movie 'Vetaiyadu Vilayadu'. The movie had shown the universal star Kamal Hassan doing the role of a cop. The trouble with the remake in Hindi is since the director is unable to fix on the hero who will be best suited for the role and would do justice to the character. At the moment there are two top actors, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan who are being considered for the role.

Gautham earlier had said to the media "I am keen on remaking the film in Hindi with a top actor from the Hindi film industry and I have a long wish list of actors who can carry off Kamal's role in the Hindi version. We are considering Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan to play the lead role. I think SRK will suit the role better. But I haven't approached any Bollywood actor yet as it's too early to speak to them."

The director plans to finish his other pending projects before he directs the Hindi remake of "Vettaiyadu Vilaydu". He is currently busy with the Jiiva-Samantha starrer "Neethaane Enn Ponvasantham", which will simultaneously be remade in Hindi and Telugu. He also has "Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru" with Vijay, and is awaiting the release of the Hindi remake of "Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya".
