One of the most awaited movies of Salman Khan Dabangg 2 has officially kick started its shooting since yesterday. For the first time in the history of Bollywood, an entire studio has been booked exclusively for a movie.
Kamal Amrohi Studios (Kamalistan) which is at Jogeshwari East, Mumbai is rented out just for the shoot of Dabangg 2.
The Dabangg 2 team has even hired almost 80 security people to guard the sets. It is said that, the studio has been rented for 15 days even though the requirement was for 12 days. Mr. Tajdar Amrohi, Head of Kamal Amrohi Studios said, "This arrangement is exclusive to Salman. Till date, we haven't extended such privileges to anybody. We are very close to him and his family. But please don't ask me about the rates. We don't discuss that on public platforms."
The entire 12 units of Kamalistan will be given to none other than Salman Khan till the first schedule of Dabangg concludes. A source close to the project said, "Aisa pehle kabhi nahin hua. Even though Rakesh Roshan's Koyla and Subhash Ghai's Khalnayak had top security, the other units at our studios were given out to television shows. But now, 11 units will be lying idle. Imagine! But of course, the makers of Dabangg 2 have well compensated Kamal Amrohi Studios."
Arbaaz Khan who will be making his debut as a director with Dabangg 2 hosted a party specially for few selected members of the cast and crew of the film in Bandra on Tuesday. The party was also attended by some close friends and relatives of the Khan family. Salman Khan played the perfect host.
