Karan Johar to launch lady director

Filmmaker Karan Johar is quite known for launching new and young talent through his production house: Dharma Productions.

Karan Johan has already launched a total of 9 debutant directors through his banner Dharma Productions. Starting from Nikhil Advani in Kal Ho Naa Ho to Shakun Batra in Ek Main Aur Ek Tu.

Karan Johar said that, "At Dharma, we have already introduced nine directors. We are extremely proud of their films. Taking the train of thought further, we plan to expand our production base and launch many more first time filmmakers in the immediate future."

Dharma Productions Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian motion picture production and distribution company, based in Mumbai. The company was founded by Yash Johar in 1976. It is now headed by his son Karan Johar after the death of his father in 2004.

This year Dharma Production is launching another young talent under its banner. And for the first time Dharma Productions will give break to a lady director.

Its Sonam Nair's turn. Sonam Nair will make her directorial debut with a Dharma Productions movie. Karan has officially announced the news though the title of the film is yet to be finalized.
