Recently director Sriram Raghavan, actor Saif Ali Khan and a few crew members of Agent Vinod made a few short trips to Russia. Their stay in Russia lasted for just two days, it can be said that this was the shortest trip ever taken by Bollywood film unit.
Even though this was a short trip, it did cost them a bomb, but they aren't regretting the huge amount which they have spent on capturing a few shots which are really important for the movie.
Direct Sriram said, "Yes, we landed in Russia in the afternoon, shot for a couple of days and then returned. It was our shortest overseas travel for 'Agent Vinod'," he added, "However we haven't shot these portions just for the sake of to tell audience that 'Hey look, we went to all these places'. Instead, we did that, because we couldn't shoot these shots in any other part of the world. Saif's exit from the airport is a part of a very important sequence and we couldn't have allowed it to go tacky. When you watch the film, you would realise that it has turned out to be quite an iconic shot."
