Tiger Shroff not a part of Aashiqui 2

A few days back there were rumours that Tiger Shroff son of actor Jackie Shroff will make his debut with the movie Aashiqui 2.

Aashiqui 2 is the sequel of Mahesh Bhatt`s Aashiqui which was released in 1990 starring Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal in the lead roles.

Aashiqui is a Bollywood romantic film which was released on 23 July 1990. It was commercially and critically successful particularly because of its music. The film made the careers of singer Kumar Sanu and composers Nadeem-Shravan. The soundtrack album has been rated the 4th best ever by Planet Bollywood on their "100 Greatest Bollywood Soundtracks". 

Jackie Shroff denied that his son would make his debut with Mahesh Bhatt's Aashiqui 2.

He said, "He is not doing `Aashiqui 2`, he was not approached for it. He had met Bhatt saab, but it was for something else."

There were even rumours that Tiger would be launched by Aamir Khan.

"I would be more than happy if reports of Aamir Khan launching him in the industry are true. It would be the best thing if Tiger is launched by Aamir."

He added, "Tiger is now just 21 years old... he is too young to enter film industry. He should step into the industry by the age of 22 or 23."
