Asin, Priyanka or Deepika ?

Imran Khan will be playing the lead role of one of Chetan Bhagat's Best seller 2 states.

But we wonder who will play Anusha aka Ananya's role?? Top three actresses Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Asin have been considered for the same. It is said that Deepika and Asin stand a better chance than Priyanka Chopra since the female lead is a Tamil Brahmin and both are south indians.

Even for the male lead Shahrukh Khan was considered first but later Imran Khan was finalized and Imran fits the role of a college going Punjabi man better than 46 year old Shah Rukh Khan.

According to sources, Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar will start working on the film soon. The movie will go on floors next year.

There were alot of rumours ever since Sajid Nadiadwala bought the rights of the book immediately after its release in the year 2009, on who would play the lead roles in the movie.

2 States: The Story of My Marriage is a 2009 novel written by Chetan Bhagat. It is the story about a couple coming from two different states in India, who face hardships in convincing their parents for approval of their marriage. The novel is a fiction, but is said to be inspired from the real story of the author and his wife Anusha who are from Delhi and Tamil Nadu, respectively.
