Bollywood is different, Asin needs to adapt - Ashley

In : |

Ashley Rebello, better known to the celebs as a great stylist was here with TOI opening his heart about what he felt on his designs and actors. He is preparing himself for the show as his designs will be the ones which Salman Khan wears through the movie 'Ek Tha Tiger'. The designer who says that he has done a lot out of his normal boundaries for the movie is just hoping that his change does work out. "I am eagerly waiting for the audience's response on Salman's new look. In this movie, I have styled him like never before," he says. Elaborating more on Salman's styling, he says, "Salman is very particular about the material used in his costumes. He likes soft material which flows on his body."

When it came to heroines that he has designed for, he said that it is extremely tough job. And he had recently designed clothes for Sonakshi, he adds "While designing for Sonakshi, I have to careful as she does not exactly have a thin frame. Comparatively, Kareena and Katrina are picture perfect." So what about the criticism that Sonakshi receives at times for her monotonous dressing? "Sonakshi hardly cares about what people say about her. She is cool about it unlike Vidya Balan who always gets bothered with what is written about her style," he informs.

Now that is for the good part, when asked about how he feels about the criticism his dress gets, especially he has been in light for the designer flak's that mostly are invited by Mallika Sherawat. "Good or bad, I take the responsibility as I design most of her outfits. But then that's what she likes and wants."

The designer also puts his heart out when he says "Salman Khan can carry off almost anything comfortably. I also like Saif Ali Khan's style. Imran Khan too is a smart dresser. And among girls, Kareena tops my list, followed by Malaika Arora Khan and Katrina Kaif," says Rebello adding, "I am now looking forward to design Kareena for her item number in Dabangg 2."

And who does he feels most difficult to work with? Its Asin! He confessed that he had a tough time designing dresses for Asin, "Asin is the most difficult star to work with. She has set ideas which may have worked well for her down south, but bollywood is different. She needs to adapt to the style here."

But from what we can see through Asin's timeline, she has changed her style and dressing a way too much from what she used to do in south (sigh!).
