Buzz is that actor Shahid Kapoor will be seen with the leggy lass Deepika Padukone in Karan Johar's next film under his banner Dharma Productions.
It will be the first time the duo will be seen together on screen. Shahid Kapoor will be working with Karan Johar for the first time. Earlier Shahid was offered the movie Kaal in the year 2005 but he refused to be part of it.
Karan Johar is known for introducing new pairs like Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma, Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan or be it Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan.
It is said that Karan Johar's assistant director Taran Vir Singh will direct the untitled film starring the Deepika and Shahid. The shooting for the movie will start by next year. Taran assisted Ayan Mukherjee during the shooting of Wake Up Sid.
Deepika Padukone is currently shooting for Ayan Mukherjee's movie Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani which also stars her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor opposite her. The film is being produced by Karan's Dharma Productions.
The move will go on floors by next year.
