Manisha Koirala ends her two year old marriage

The Bollywood actress has ended her marriage with Nepali businessman Samrat Dalal after filing for divorce early this year in January.

The 41 year old actress tied the knot two years ago on June 19, 2010, in a traditional Nepali ceremony held in Kathmandu. They had met through the online social networking website, 

Facebook and had immediately fallen in love with each other. The couple had spent their honeymoon in Finland. When all seemed hunky dory, just six months after their marriage Manisha posted on Facebook that she wanted to divorce her husband and said that he has become her worst enemy. Later she cleared the reports and said she had commented in the fit of rage.

But things didn’t get better and Manisha decided to file for divorce in 2012. She has been in Mumbai since January this year and even tried the Oneness University in Chennai to help her marriage. However, it didn't help to bring the couple back together.

Rumours say that she threw a party for her friends at her place after breaking up with Samrat to enjoy her newly found freedom.

Before Samrat the Khamoshi actress was reportedly engaged in 2001 to Crispin Conroy, the former Australian ambassador to Nepal, but they broke up later. There were also reports of her dating American speaker and author, Christopher Dorris, but that relationship also ended.

Manisha who was well known for her outstanding roles in movies like Bombay, 1942- A Love Story, Dil Se, Khamoshi was last seen as Rubina in I AM which was directed by Onir.

Manisha is also hoping to get back to films. She was also recently spotted at the special screening of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Parinda. It is said that she has signed three films and will be soon seen in Ram Gopal Verma’s Bhoot 2. All the best Manisha for your second innings in Bollywood!
