Known for its ultra-luxurious sport cars, the German automobile manufacturer Porsche introduced the facelift of version Panamera model in India last month. Now, the company has announced the launch of the new Turbo S variant in the Indian automobile market. However, the deliveries of this car will only start in February, 2014.

According to reports, advance bookings for the Turbo S version have already begun. Porsche India, on its part, has still not discussed the price of the Panamera Turbo S yet. However, speculations are rife that it might carry a price tag of around Rs. 2 crore. According to sources, this sports car will be brought to India via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route, just like other models.

Moreover, the company has claimed that Turbo S is the most powerful and fastest model in the Panamera line-up, which include Panamera, Diesel, GTS, Panamera 4 and Turbo. These variants were showcased at the 2013 Auto Shanghai exhibition. In the coming few weeks, this Turbo S version will make its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. However, it has been speculated that the cost of Porsche Panamera Turbo S will be more than the Panamera Turbo. Changes have been made in the design of exteriors of this new super car. In order to make it look more attractive, it will feature body coloured rear spoiler with four modes, wider tyres, 20-inch alloy wheels and new interior finish.

Talking about its technical specifications, the Porsche Panamera Turbo S 2014 is powered by a 4.8-litre V8 petrol engine. It is fitted with twin turbochargers that delivers 570 bhp as its peak power and 750 Nm of highest torque. In comparison to the previous version of Panamera Turbo, Turbo S has power figures up by 50 bhp and 50 Nm. This boosted power output is because of the large compressors fitted in the turbo chargers and the high fuel injection pressure in the combustion chamber. Due to this, the Turbo S attains a maximum speed of 310 kmph at 0-100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds.

This new version of Porsche has a four wheel drive because of the seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission system mated to the vehicle. It runs on 20-inch alloy wheels that looks quite wider. The company has made an extra effort to redesign the pistons and its rings, in order to bear the extra power output. In terms of appearance, Turbo S has apparently gone to many changes to look more appealing than the earlier version of Panamera.
