Virat Kohli Ranks No. 1 Batsman In ODI Rankings

Virat Kohli with his consistent performance has outrun the long reigning rank of Hashim Amla, and claims the number one spot in ICC ODI Rankings. Amla, who has been holding the post since 2010 was slipped down with a consistent average and high scores by the young Indian.

The other major change was in bowling department, where Saeed Ajmal reclaimed the number one spot dropping down Ravindra Jadeja and Sunil Naraine.

According to The Daily Times, the other major change in the batting top ten was the rise of Australia captain George Bailey to No. 3, up six places after a series in which he made 478 runs at an average of 95.60 in six innings.

The other big gainer in the bowling top ten is South Africa's Morne Morkel, who also climbed six spots to reach No. 7, the report said.

Ajmal took six wickets in the first two ODIs to move past Jadeja and Narine, according to the report.
