Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan who are on vacation with their families at London and Dubai respectively was buzzed by the invitation sent by Mir Shakeel-Ur-Rahman - owner of a Pakistani Entertainment Channel in Dubai. The invite was to attend the wedding of Asma Rahman, daugher to Mr. Shakeel.
While Katrina Kaif opted to drop the invitation as she was still with her family and wanted to spent the new years eve with her family, SRK took the opportunity to visit the newly weds at Dubai and had a quality time at the party.
"Rahmans wanted Katrina Kaif also to attend the occasion. But they failed to convince her," added the source.
When contacted, Katrina's friend defended her decision to give the wedding amiss, saying, "Katrina is in London with her family. She celebrated New Year with them. She didn't want to just up and leave them to go to Dubai."
