After the heavy blow they received at the box office, it seems that Jodi Breakers are still receiving their share at the satellite rights as well. The promos had raised the bars for the movie but when it got released it seems that the cards fell out of place.
A source from movie trade says "The movie had generated much hype prior to its release but the poor box office performance has been a minus. Eversince the rights have been bidding at lower rates and this can certainly affect the production crew".
According to the trade specialist the trade price for this Bips-Maddy film came down by nearly 5-6 crores because of the poor box office response. This is the rates when the Khan's are selling their movies at 40 and 30 crores. It seems that the management team at the satellites clearly understand what to pay.
The movie had shown much attention as Madhavan was doing his second movie since the successful run at 3idiots, but a poor story line made the movie fall out of place and dropped nose first. Although the chemistry between Madhavan and Bipasha was much appreciated and their performances were mentioned through the flop run.
