Dhoom 3 delayed

Since quite some time it was being debated whether Aamir Khan would start with the shoot of Dhoom 3 or Raju Hirani's new movie. And the actor chose to do Raju Hirani film first. Since Aamir does only one film at a time, it was well understood that Dhoom 3 will have to wait for some more time.

A source said, "Aamir did not want to let go of Raju's film. Raju wouldn't have waited and would've started the film with Ranbir Kapoor. This leaves Aditya Chopra with no other choice than waiting for Aamir. So his dream project starring Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra has once again been pushed back."

Dhoom series centres around bike chases, handsome thieves and daring theft plans. On 2 February 2011, Yash Raj Films confirmed that the third installment of the series would go on floors at the end of 2011 and planned for a Christmas 2012 release, though now it is releasing early 2013 due to extensive post production. The film will feature Aamir Khan playing a negative character while Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will reprise their roles of Jai and Uday. Rani Mukherjee will star in a pivotal role. Katrina Kaif will also be a part of the film. Dhoom 3 will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The story will take place ten years after the events of Dhoom and eight after the events of Dhoom 2.
