Katrina Kaif to be seen in sequel of Aakhen

Buzz is that actress Katrina Kaif has been approached by filmmaker Vipul Shah to play the female lead in the sequel of the hit film 'Aankhen'.

Aankhen is a bollywood film which was released in the year 2002 which was directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Sen. AAnkhen is all about a bank robbery by three blind men. The film was nominated for two Filmfare Awards (Best Supporting Actor for Bachchan and Best Comic Actor for Rawal) and three Star Screen Awards (Best Film, Best Comic Actor for Rawal, and Best Negative Actor for Bachchan).

The sequel of Aakhen has so far retained only Amitabh Bachchan from the original star cast of Aankhen which comprised Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Shah and Sushmita Sen. As of now, Vipul is looking for Katrina’s dates, as well other actors' for the film.

The sequel which is yet to be titled, will soon go on the floors once the star cast is decided.

Katrina has worked with Vipul Shah in the past for films -‘Namastey London’ and ‘Singh Is Kinng’. Both the films have been hits of Katrina’s career. 

Katrina Kaif is currently shooting for Yash Chopra’s untitled movie with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role.
