No more direction by Mahesh Bhatt

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt who has delivered iconic movies like Arth, Dil Hai ki Manta Nahi, Saaransh ans Zakhm in the last three decades says that he is ready to quit direction. He wishes to promote young and fresh talent in the industry.

Mahesh Bhatt said, “I have said goodbye to direction. I am encouraging new talent. I am a 64-year-old man now, and at my age, encouraging upcoming talent is very satisfying.”

Mahesh has given many directors and actors including director Mohit Suri, 'Blood Money' director Vishal Mahadkar, actor Emraan Hashmi and now the Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone. a very creative platform through his banner Vishesh Films.

Even now he is busy promoting another newcomer Esha Gupta who will be seen playing the leading lady of 'Jannat 2' which is a sequel of Jannat released in 2008. Esha Gupta is cast opposite Emraan Hashmi in the film. She is the winner of Miss India International 2007.

Mahesh Bhatt said that, "Esha Gupta is an unusual Indian girl who walked into my office. These days there is no Indianness left any more in others. This girl comes from Delhi, with a feminine charm; and charm and intelligence are a deadly combination,"

He added, "Emraan was must for 'Jannat 2'. He was a compulsory casting for the movie. Nobody could have played this role better than him. He has a heart of gold." 

Emraan Hashmi started his career with the movie "Footpath" in the year 2003 and starred in many movies under Mahesh Bhatt and now is he is one actor who has great demand in Bollywood.

He said that, "Emraan has evolved as an actor. From his debut film 'Footpath', he has come a very long way. He is a star now. Today everybody wants to cast him in their films." 

He added, "There were no differences between me and Emraan. I could not attend 'Jannat 2' music launch as I was in Jaipur with Pooja (Bhatt) for the shooting of 'Jism 2'. I believe Emraan is big enough to hold a film as he is a star now." 

Sunny Leone will make her debut in Bollywood with the movie Jism 2. Producer-director Mahesh Bhatt entered the house of Bigg Boss for a couple of hours to present a contract deal to Sunny to cast her as the lead actress in this sequel of the film Jism. The film will be directed by his producer-actress daughter Pooja Bhatt. While Leone plays the female lead, the film will have two male protagonists.
