Arjun Kapoor plays rebel to Salman

In : |

The name 'Prem' always draws in the humble face of Salman Khan, and his cute characteristics as a younger brother in most of the family movies in 90's. But as time passes, younger becomes older and that is the story which Sooraj Barjatya has in mind. The news was confirmed that Salman will once again be portrayed as a family man in the upcoming movie and it seems that the role which used to be Salman's typical character is now being offered to Arjun Kapoor. Yes, Arjun will be playing the angry younger brother to Salman - if the rumors are to be believed.

Although there has been many characters who had visited on-screen with the name Prem, it has always been Salman Khan who had made it the trademark with his performances. The upcoming movie Bade Bhaiya from Rajshri productions will have Salman back in the family roles and this time as the elder brother.

A source close to the production house told , "Sooraj Barjatya has finished the script. He wrote it keeping Salman in mind. They now need a young actor to play the parallel lead in the film. After watching Ishaqzaade, Soorajji was impressed with Arjun's performance. He arranged a meeting with Arjun and offered him the role."

Rajshri productions who has been known for their family melodrama will once again show the family sentiments on screen. "The story is about two brothers. The younger one is a rebel. The film will show how the elder brother mentors him and turns him into a well-behaved man," revealed the source.

Arjun Kapoor, who in real life had received much guidance for Ishqzade from Salman Khan will have the opportunity to see his character being mended by the elder brother Salman on reel. In an interview, Arjun had once said, "Salman is my elder brother. He had told me that I was cut out for acting. But I was really obese (140 kg), and couldn't imagine myself as an actor. Salman literally took me under his wings... He believed in me and that's why I am here today." And now, he may get to be his younger brother in reel life too.

However, when contacted, Mr Gupta, the General Manager of Rajshri Productions maintained, "Sooraj ji is still writing the script of the film. He hasn't reached the casting stage yet."Reportedly, the film may release on Eid next year.
