Kareena to pay tribute to Sharmila Tagore

Buzz is that Kareena Kapoor who will be seen playing the female lead in the movie Heroine will pay a tribute to her boyfriend's mother, Sharmila Tagore in the film.

Madhur Bhandarkar said that, “Actually I’m a huge Gulzarsaab fan and I wanted Bebo to pay a tribute to Gulzarsaab in this scene. It is a happy coincidence that it’s a film that had a respected actress like Sharmila Tagore. Bebo has done a perfect take-off on the Mausam character with cigarette and gaalis intact.”

He added that, "Kareena is dressed in a ghagracholi for a scene and is seen smoking a cigarette. This sight gives an impression of Sharmila Tagore who played a double role in 1975 film by Gulzar."

Sharmila Tagore even won a National Award for Mausam. Madhur, a great fan of Gulzar wanted to pay to tribute to the director and hence added this scene. Kareena who was always inspired and admires Saif's mother's poise, dignity and her screen presence is said to be really very excited to be able to pay tribute to her soon to be mother-in-law.

The film Heroine which is directed by Madhur Bhandarkar is about a middle class girl's transformation as a heroine.
