Buzz is that actor Salman Khan has agreed to be the brand ambassador of Sri Lanka Premier League.
All of Salman's friends like Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty and even his rival Shah Rukh Khan have their own IPL teams. But it seems as if Salman is eyeing a different market altogether.
According to the latest report Salman Khan has been roped in by Sri Lankan Tourism to popularize Sri Lanka Premier League. No official announcement has been made till now, but Salman Khan has agreed to endorse the Sri Lanka Premier League.
Salman is a good friend of Sri Lanka's president, Mahinda Rajapaksa and his sons. And Salman has stepped in to be the face of the IIFA Awards in the island nation when Amitabh Bachchan bowed out for various reasons. That seems to have created some kind of bond between the country and the star. In Sri Lanksa there is a big craze for Bollywood and Salman has been approached to be the face of the cricketing tournament.
