Bollywood's King Khan recently had to pay a Rs 50,000.

The fine was paid to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for putting up an illegal illuminated Ra.One hoarding on the glass facade of his company's building without permission.

Shah Rukh Khan's staff members had taken permission put up the giant size hoarding on the office premises from the local civic authorities during the film's promotions last year in the month of September.

The company had requested that since the film was his home production and the building also belonged to Shah Rukh Khan. They had requested that they should be allowed to put up the vinyl hoarding. The civic ward office agreed to it but the permission was granted for a “non-illuminated” vinyl poster.

On 2nd June 2012, the licence department of H-West Ward office slapped a notice on Tuscany Properties Pvt Ltd.

Tuscany Properties Pvt Ltd belongs to SRK and wife Gauri Khan. They were asked them to pay a fine of Rs 50,000 within seven days to avoid further action.

Deputy municipal commissioner, Rajendra Bhosale found the poster to be illuminated on the site without prior permission of the corporation. Interestingly, neither the company paid the penalty for over a month, nor the BMC officials took any action over it.

The company had put up a 110 x 92 feet hoarding on the building at Ramakrishna Mission Marg in Khar (West).

The hoarding was later removed from the site after the fine was paid.
